We've been dining here for years, but were disappointed this evening. My wife always enjoyed the simple alfredo with chicken, and I with shrimp. Today she poured on the salt after describing her alfredo as "tasteless," while I was tempted to eat mine with a spoon because it was so soupy. My guess is they have a new chef who's not as skilled as the last one. We'll be back, hopefully for a better dining experience, but I fear it might be only to be disappointed one last time.
Great food. Not to pricy. Convenient location.
Went with friends we don't see too often; so we were looking for good tapas and conversation. When we walked into the tapas section of the restaurant we noticed the guitar player/singer was playing very loud. When our waiter, Chris, approached the table to wait on us I asked him if perhaps the musician could lower the volume. Chris couldn't hear me from less than 3 feet away. When he finally understood that our group would not be able to hold any kind conversation, we were at a standoff. I suspect his solution was for us to just leave as he said he had no control over the volume. After an awkward moment passed he suggested we go to their other restaurant which was next door. I said that would be fine if we could order our tapas, which he agreed to since the kitchen was shared between their two places. Once we got to the other place the evening could not have been better. Great food, great watress and the ambiance was perfect for conversation.
Finally getting to try this gem of a place in downtown Apalachicola. The oyster appetizer was cooked perfectly! Our other dishes were fabulous also.
Food was great! The sandwich I ordered was huge! For 2 adults and one child it was only like $30. The atmosphere was nice, super cozy and nice dim lighting. Highly recommend!
Great place to eat! We were impressed with the quality of the food. We had the lunch special Tabasco fried chicken, buffalo sliders, and a slice of key lime pie. Everything was delicious, I highly recommend checking it out.
Didn't take long to get food I had the Blackened chicken sandwich .. it was delicious but I didn't care for the stale tasting chips.
Tried to eat here. Walked in the door at 9:20pm, and an employee yelled at us across the dining room stating that they were closed. The sign in the entrance clearly stated they close at 10:00. No reason was given. She was rude for no reason.
Couldn't get the oysters for dinner at 6pm, had run out. Ordered the ginger snapper. Not good, smell was off but gave it a try, thinking maybe it was the influence of the seasoning. No, was the fish. Couldn't eat it. Wife had the fried grouper which was good. Informed waitress, they lessened the bill by 10% and apologized.
We ordered off the dinner special and the menu and we're both very pleased. The server was very pleasant and attentive. 👍
The food was decent, but the service was really bad. I don't usually write reviews, but the waitress brought us the wrong check initially and ended up charging us for our bill and the wrong bill she gave us. I spoke with the owner on the phone who said he would refund the extra charge but he never did.
Three of us ate there and we all got something different and it was all very good. The seafood bisque, the stuffed pork tenderloin, the pecan crusted grouper, the saladsI highly recommend Tamara's if you want a great meal. The dessert menu looked good but we were all too full from cleaning our plates at dinner. We will be back!
Good atmosphere, good service, but laid back service. Paella was great, crusted talapia not so much. It was a slow night off season, I'd try it again. Decent beer selection.
Best fried oysters ever!! The service was friendly and prompt.
Incredible service from the entire team. The food was insanely good and left us very happy. Would recommend to anyone looking to spend the afternoon in Apalachicola.
The short ribs and fried green tomatoes were delicious! They also serve locally brewed beer that was really good.
New ownership and new kitchen staff are learning the ropes here, but that should not mean I have to pay for a subpar meal. My fish special (which finally came out at least 15 minutes after everyone else's meals) tasted like a cheap fish stick, greasy and little else. Sides were ok (cabbage slaw) to awful (plantain fries). Was charged more for wine than was prices on the menu. I've eaten here twice in the past few years and it was very good, so this visit was really disappointing.
