Helpful staff, free valet parking and now a small museum on the first floor. The emergency room provided good care when I had to get Staples from a fall on the ice. Not fun but they saw me right away.

Bad experience ! I've been here multiple times, and each time they don't seem to get better. First the bed sheets were stained , as In fresh stains but INSISTED that they did clean the sheets and put "new" ones. Asked for a new sheet but was denied. Min after being in the room we had realized that the bed it self had dry blood and other stains ! Meaning they didn't disinfect the bed which they always should after EVERY patient. Sad case

I have received medical care from Swedes for many years. Family doctor, specialists, surgery, out-patient, in-patient. I've received wonderful care and courtesy everywhere, and my outcomes are really good. Collaboration with the Mayo Clinic has also been smooth.

The Emergency Room would get zero stars if I could rate it that. Their customer service is absolutely poor and the people behind the bullet resistant glass need some serious customer service training. They were treating everyone poorly. Possibly overworked and lacked basic human compassion. I would recommend not going there. The rest of the hospital I have been told is fantastic. It's too bad that their face has a black eye due to some of the unfriendly, non-compassionate people that work there.

I decided to give Swedish emergency department a try since my husband thinks so highly of them but I am so disappointed they do not take pregnant women having stomach pain and back lower pain serious or priority. They rather take people limping that just got there or people that appear to not even have an emergency that go out to smoke go drink coffee go order takeout or fast food and eat while they wait and are spending time on there phones laughing talking showing no signs of distress or real urgent need to be here. Most of these people could probably be encouraged cto go to there many urgent care centers but only it is advisable for pregnant women and children under 3 months to be seen at emergency rooms. They spend multiple times calling out the same name rather than moving in to the next absolutely discussed with how they prioritize urgency and there wait times are ridiculous.

Beware the Red Crucifix. A friend of mine got banned for posting about the psyche mafia here. The racists gave him bad drugs that caused him to be hospitalized with head injuries. Then they sued him for the bill and he had to leave town because he was homeless. That is not the first time the Red Crucifix screwed up. They killed two of his brothers. It is a war against sovereign individuals who dare to think outside the collective cult.

Very disappointing experienced went there because my ankle was swollen it has been swollen for awhile and I felt strong enough do get through but my wife wanted me too go immediately so here's this doctor that was extremely racist and arrogant. This doctor was asking so what's the emergency? and I'm thinking are you for real? Then on top of that he disrespected my wife by calling her a sir and she's a transgender woman and she deserves respect. The funny part was when the doctor called security on my wife because my wife confronting the doctor and since the doctor doesn't know how to do his job correctly of course. The security didn't come so what does that tell ya? But this other man Mark he was super kool and awesome he didn't vote for Donald Trump Thank God but he gave my wife and I respect and he took my blood twice and had to find my vein which was a little bit difficult but I got through it. So after all of that signed the discharge papers and head out needless to say I'm never going back to this crappy hospital or Rockford this racist judgmental ,homophobic, racist crappy town.

I have always received fine, caring service here, especially from the nurses and CT and MRI people. My only objection, and it's a BIG one, is the fact that they employ hospitalists. When I am ill and hospitalized, the last thing I need is a doctor who has never laid eyes on me before. I chose and have continued to see my primary care physician because I trust him, and he knows my medical history and me. Having a stranger assigned to me is abhorrent to me.

If you value your life and need actual medical attention do not come to this outrageous facility. My mom has severe progressive Multiple Sclerosis and was having a flare up. We waited 4 hours before being seen, they took us back, did blood work, and gave her a thing of mophine. We waited another hour in the reclining room with 8 other people, and finally after 5 hours, we got a room. After waiting an additional hour in the room itself, the doctor came in, touched my mothers abdomen twice, told her to follow up with her regular care physician (THE DOCTOR WHO SENT HER HERE), and to continue taking Ibuprofen. The pain is so bad she is throwing up and can barely walk. I have an autoimmune disorder and all of my 7 specialists are through the UW health system up in Madison, and they are incredible. This is supposed to be a "division" of UW Health but it brings complete shame to the UW name.

The 2.7 / 5 rating is accurate. If you'd like to kill some time and talk to someone with an 8 year degree that has the same personality as a wall, and only replies as "uhuh" to everything you say or even don't say. Then Swedish American ER is a great fit for you. Didn't catch my PA's name since she was in the room with me for a grand total of five minutes and touch my back 6 times. Even though I have documentation and x-rays of an L4 disc pushing on my spine. (Which isn't the greatest feeling). I was previously in a pain management program which I opted out and showed her the email of doing so because they were prescribing me methadone and morphine like prescriptions. And after being a hundred percent honest and showing emails and the works. Her professional opinion after waiting an hour and a half after saying I'll be right back is to follow up with your primary care physician. Thanks I did not know this I just needed some reassurance so I thought I'd come to the ER to get your okay. Like no shit i don't have a 8 year degree and would have a better response than that. Dr Lin is awesome get more doctors like him that actually give a fuck. If it were possible to give it no stars then i would have. And if it eye the first time okay understandable but its the 5th. Won't be back and want hope people look at this rating a choose a different facility.

I had the worst experience ever at this hospital if you truly love your family or friends I would keep them as far away from this hospital as possible. They are careless there ambulance staff are very rude an judgemental they really made me uncomfortable on how they dont show any care about your pain or concerns. ER staff is exactly the same they almost let me hyperventilate an die in the hall I had to stand up an address my own problems to get them to finally listen then they asked no questions concerning my health until I had to address my health to them. All in all I would give this place a 0 stars but I can't an again if you truly care for your loved ones keep them away from here they really don't care about your life!
