Took girlfriend to the ER for complications from a rare autoimmune disease. Third time to the ER and seeing this particular ER dr. He still has not looked up her disease, has no idea how to treat her, his actions (lack of action) resulted in her being in the hospital (went to a different hospital) for 3 days. We will not be using this ER ever again!

Used to be the best hospital in the area. Anymore the ER Dr's are horrible, don't care about patients pain or discomfort, in no hurry to help the patient, nursing staff is slow too. As an in patient it is marginally better. Dr's were willing to help, but wouldn't do more than one test a day! If the can get a test result back a few hours after a 6:00am test and it doesn't show anything there is more than enough time for another test in that same day, but they would rather stretch out your admission to get more money from your insurance, at least that's the way it feels. Also, the nursing staff is rotated everyday, so if you have a complicated medical case like my wife then they have no clue what is going on with the patient and have to be filled in on things constantly. They rely too much on what's in the patients chart, but thing aren't always charted properly or in even at all. It's not efficient, if nurses knew their patients better it would allow them to show a little care for their patients and the patients to feel like the staff cared about them.it is NOT like that at all now.

Do not have your baby here!! Bipolar nursing staff in maternity one minute you get a nice nurse and the next it is nothing but attitude and super poor bedside manner. My fiancé got rudely scolded or talked down to several times and half the time it was because they were not even listening to what we were telling them. I get it nursing is a stressful but no excuse for poor manners.

As an in-patient @ St. Anthony's on two separate occasions for Diabetic & Wound Care, I highly recommend this institution. The professional and caring staff that tended to my needs were attentive, responded promptly, and offered me exceptional care. I, myself, am in the employ of a hospital in the Chicagoland area. However, as I live closer to Rockford than my own workplace, I wouldn't hesitate to continue receiving quality care through the OSF system.

I am from Chicago and my husband is from New York. I was reluctant to come to the ER and wasn't sure which hospital in Rockford to go to. My husband mentioned this one and I'm glad he did. From the moment we walked in to the moment we walked out, everyone was very attentive, professional, compassionate and knowledgeable. I am very impressed and will definitely recommend this hospital to anyone. Great Job to all of the staff here! Keep up the great work! Thank you for the excellent customer service.
