Best sushi on the planet as far as I'm concerned. There's nothing better than the So Fresh So Clean and This Is How We Roll! Andy, Sophia and his family work hard & make this local restaurant the best around.

This is an amazing sushi restaurant! My husband and I live in Miramar Beach, Fl and eat at Sushimoto at least twice a week. We moved to Florida from Dallas, Tx 2 years ago and there is not a sushi restaurant in the Dallas area that can touch Sushimoto. I can't say enough about the quality of the food but the wait staff and owners are awesome as well. Highly recommend!

I found the food to be so/so. I ordered the "XXX Roll" which is described on the menu as "Xtra hot spicy spicy tuna roll *please only for the daring*." It was about as spicy as Sriracha sauce.
What was strange was the staff. One there's signs all over the place saying "Be nice or leave." It's kind of off-putting. If they're having that many problems with mean people, perhaps they need to re-examine how they do business. Further, our server made comments throughout the service that were odd at best and racist at worst. In one instance, she made a point of telling us that we were at a Japanese restaurant, not Chinese, so there was no cat in our entrees.
In any event, the atmosphere was awkward and the food wasn't inspiring. I don't suspect I will return in the future.response / report this review -

The staff is very friendly. The food is very delicious. My favorite is Tango Mango sushi roll. Good prices. My family loved this place. Every year we came to Florida for vacations we stop here.

The menu, like the restaurant, is compact, but extremely well executed. The fish is so fresh and prepared with such skill, that one may not immediately notice the subtle perfection that is the sushi(rice) hidden just below.
But the heart and soul of this restaurant is the owner. He works the floor, and his charisma is so genuine and natural that I felt not only welcome, but honored to be dining in his restaurant.
The only change I would make would be to leave the dressing off of the sashimi in the sashimi salad. It was lovely on the greens, but overpowered the delicate fish.response / report this review -

Sushimoto is awesome! My family and I go once a week. Andy and everyone there are fantastic and they treat you like an old friend whenever they see you. They have the best Sushi in town and are always cooking up new and tasty plates to change things up. I would highly recommend this place to anyone.

Read very good reviews about this place so we thought we would try it out. We tried four different rolls and a bowl of the noodles and we honestly couldn't pick something as the best because they were all great. It is usually hard for us to find a decent sushi restaurant on our vacations but we definitely left fully satisfied from Sushimoto. The staff was extremely nice and helpful. We will definitely fine in again if we find ourselves in Destin Florida in the future.
