The place is clean and appears to be safe.
However after checking in and getting into the room i was called by front desk. They were trying to charge my card a second time and it would not go through. Having booked on hotwire i had already paid but was told i could give them another card to pay or leave.
I have never been treated with such disrespect in my life. Anyone listening would have thought i was a criminal. I will stay the night because it is late and I'm tired. I will never stay here again and will think twice before booking through hotwire in the future.
It seems like a scam and I'm not going to subject myself to any questionable practices.
Im sure its a nice place but i wont be staying cause they rent rooms to prostitutes.
Very helpful for handica people..very nice thank you Angel.
Spent two nights here had roaches in room and found metal pieces in washcloths and there was no Continental breakfast just juice or coffee this was the worst hotel stay I have ever experienced. The staff was rude and everything I'll never stay here again I dont recommend this hotel in Tampa to no one.
The room was filthy, toilet didn't work and the room stank when we checked in. Mgr got the toilet fixed and the floor swept quickly . But even so, the worst place I have stayed by far. Just nasty. Best aspect of this place is easy access to I75.
There were dirty towels hanging on curtain rod and 1 light worked. These rooms look like they have been through a hurricane! Dog hair on the comforter! Pretty tragic.
Very tiny room. Old property need renovation. When check in rooms is dirty. Break fast is not available.its better in this price book another hotel. It's typical Indian Patel motel.so you can not expect what you paid for room. Very noisy and late night people noise in front of your door. Owner want only make money not customer satisfaction. Very rude Indian lady standing in front besk.
Not too bad. Decent service. Spent about 78 bucks per night for a room with a queen bed. Tv had HDMI ports and there was cable TV. Swimming pool was nice.
Very nice and clean rooms are very spacious employees of very very helpful and very hospitable and have a very good attitude towards guest has been here once and it's always very very nice great motel stores around if I chose a place to stay with in Tampa I would choose the Super 8 on Fletcher and 275 right by the freeway you have to try it out it is very very clean and nice and everything is straight honestly everything is straight with the Super 8 it's a great place to stay sincerely being truthful Ricky
Great location! Conveniently located off the interstate near USF, Busch Gardens, Adventure Island and other local attractions.
I'll start by stating that we were not in town for leisure. A family member was being moved into hospice care. We had our three young children, our puppy and a pregnant wife (~36 weeks). We looked all over using the Wyndham Rewards site to find a hotel and could only locate this one that allowed pets, was non-smoking and was close enough to the hospital. I called them to confirm they allowed pets: they do.
I noticed that the email confirmation did not show the two adults and three children. It also didn't show anything about requiring a room for a pet. I called to let them know. They said it will be fine if no one gets hurt, but they are only liable for up to four people. That's such an odd thing to say to someone over the phone when you're trying to stay at the hotel.
We arrived. I went inside to check in. I mentioned that I called earlier. She looked up our reservation and saw that it was not a pet friendly room. She put us in a room at the end of the main building that allowed for pets. We took our keycard and went to check it out. Before unloading the car we went inside the room.
The very first thing we noticed was a very strong odor from cigarette smoke. It was quite unbearable. I called the front desk using the phone in the room. I told her about the smell and how we could not stay in that room. She said they didn't have any other pet-friendly rooms available. After getting off the phone I went outside to call Wyndham Rewards about finding another place that met our needs. I walked back to the room to get my family and to head back to the front desk to ask for a refund. While I was out on the phone, my wife washed her hands because it felt dirty in the room. That means she opened the hotel soap, washed her hands and dried them off. That's it nothing else. We were at the room for around 10 total minutes.
The front desk person said she would have to go check the room before she could issue a refund. She put a sign on the door, locked it and went on her way to see the room. She came back and said she would not be refunding the fee because the room was used. She flat out said we used the room. She used the excuse that she doesn't have a 24-hour maid service to clean the room. I asked her what she would need to clean. She could take one of the soaps and one of the towels that she should have behind the counter and put it in the room and all would be fine. She escalated the conversation into a full blown argument. I went to the car to call Wyndham Rewards. They called her while I was standing across from the counter. She told them we used the room. Luckily Wyndham Rewards refunded our points that were used, but could do nothing about the refund of the payment.
I tried to convince the front desk person to give us a refund and again she argued with me. Another hotel guest walked in for something and she thought it would be appropriate to try to get him involved. Telling me that we used the room and then arguing with me about it was so unprofessional. How could any customer service person take this further and act like a child to involve another guest at the hotel?!
I left the establishment after apologizing to the guest that was needlessly brought in the middle of this debacle.
I ultimately had to file a complaint with Wyndham Customer Care a few days later.
Stay away from this hotel. It's dirty, in a bad location, and has terrible staff.
Side note: the "breakfast" at Super 8 is only instant oatmeal, yogurt, cereal and single serving cinnamon rolls. At this location, all of that would have been crammed onto the tiny counter in the super small lobby. There would be no place to sit and enjoy your first, most important meal of the day.
The rooms are clean and well maintained. The staff is very friendly and accommodating. Location is great for all over town as it is right off the interstate. The downside to that however is the noise from the ramp can be a problem.
Please do not stay at this hotel. I visited a family member who was staying in room 229 this post weekend. Now myself and the two people staying in the hotel all have bed bugs. The hotel will not do anything about it, desire multiple reports. The mattresses did not have the required covers needed by law and I strongly suspect the cleanliness of the facility even more than I did when I was visiting. Spend your $100 on a better facility, please!
My experience was great. My room was very clean comparing to others like Regency that has a lot of roaches. Nadine at the front desk was very polite helpful and friendly. I would sure recommend any one to Super 8
