Beautiful area. Was up there in June and there was still fresh snow. Saw a bit of wildlife. Hike up to the summit lake trail was not bad even in slushy snow

Beautiful, if you come when there are no tourists ;) Hikers, do Evans before the road opens or after it closes, best times to get solitude on evans.

This is a beautiful place located on the drive up Mt Evans. It is an awesome place to hike and see wildlife such as mountain goats and marmots. Definitely worth seeing. Can be very crowded on weekends!!

A fantastic way to waste time with a carload. Travel up the highest paved road in North America to over 14,000ft above sea level, then, if you can handle it, hike the last 200 feet or so and, for a second, be one of the highest people in Colorado, if not the country, until you walk back down to the parking lot.

Going up or going down keep an eye out for the goats. They like to walk in front of cars and hangout on the side of the road.

Or, hike up from Echo Lake and enjoy nature. I've never done that, so don't ask me about the hike.

Great lake a few hundred feet below Mount Evans summit. The water is mostly from melted ice and hail from high altitude. Looks like a mirror from the actual summit.
