I live up by Lake Texoma. One of my birds got sick suddenly. There was not a vet around us that would treat birds. I was finally referred to Summertree Animal and Bird Clinic. They took my extremely ill bird and treated her and us with the utmost care and respect. The vets and staff are compassionate, knowledgeable, and professional. I wish we lived closer. But we will happily drive to Summertree should we need them for our other birds.

I love Summertree. I have a one hour drive but it is worth it. They treat my two parrots like they are part of their family. When I called about my parrot Buddy who was having anxiety issues, Dr. Levitt went out of her way to find the right treatment. This is the best veterinary place I’ve ever been too!

Amazing vet practice. Super helpful and made me feel at ease bringing my Tortoise here. They answered all my questions and you can really tell they care about the pets and clients. I had a great experience and I am glad to have taken my lil guy here. I truly appreciate them!

My wonderful hamster Big Mama, developed a dental abscess and I had to take her to Summer Tree for treatment. Big Mama ended up recently passing anyway from old age, but I firmly believe the two wonderful vets who worked on her extended her already short hamster life span.
If you need a wonderful, caring vet for your small animal, Beverly and Jackie are the vets to trust in. I owe them everything for saving Big Mama.

Amazing service!! I took my baby rat Oliver there yesterday. I was concerned because he'd been sneezing quite a bit and rats can get seriously ill pretty quickly. I called towards the end of the day on 10/21; they were able to schedule me for the next morning- I was relieved.

The experience there was excellent; I stayed in my car the entire time and was contacted by phone by a few different people. Once the Dr. examined Oliver, she called me to explain my options in terms of treatment. She provided a fair overview of 3 different options and I felt like she was very honest and up front about the pros and cons of each. I felt like she truly caring and compassionate about Oliver's health.

I had never been to this place before; I take my cats to a vet close to where I live but they don't treat rats. I really enjoyed my experience here and will definitely be back in the future. It was really nice that the entire staff I spoke with treated Oliver the same way they would treat a dog or a cat. Everyone was very polite, professional, and caring. Very happy!

I am sure they might be great- I wouldn't know though- because after several calls basically begging to have my child's guinea pig seenexplaining that I desperately needed a payment plan because we are a low income family- they wouldn't work with me. My daughter- who suffers from anxiety and depression- is right now actively watching her comfort animal die because I cannot pay in full first.

Brought our sick backyard chicken into see someone with experience. The chicken died 10 minutes into their exam. We received a long bill itemized with all sorts of treatments. They gave us no answers or any indication of whether our chicken was contagious to our other birds. Just a thanks for dropping by and paying us $100 for 10 minutes of effort. Their business seems more centered around how to squeeze every dime out of a situation than on customer service.

Summertree is the place we go to make sure that our pets have the best care possible. Finding a vet you can trust completely is hard, and I would recommend Summertree to anyone who has a pet. Knowing that we have Dr. Curfman in our corner when it comes to the tricky health issues of two elderly cats, as well as a young one, is incredibly reassuring and takes a lot of the worry-weight off of our shoulders. We always know that she (and the rest of the staff) will give us compassionate and well-informed advice, skilled care for our pets, and a friendly atmosphere to come to. We have been going to Summertree for over 4 years now, first with an ill conure and then with our cats, and we are so happy with them that staying within driving distance of them is even a requirement as we look into moving.

Highly recommend them! My 20 lb mini pot belly pig got into our neighbor's back yard and was attacked by their dog. Peppa had a huge gash on the side of her tummy and there was no one in our city that I could find that would see her. We were referred to Summertree Animal & Bird Clinic from a near by veterinarian, and I'm so glad I made the call! We showed up at the office around 6:30pm and they saw her immediately. The doctor told us that they would have to sedate her in order to see how bad the wound was. It turned out that she had already started to catch a fever from the bite and the doctor could stick her whole finger inside the wound. A few stitches on the side of her belly and about 5 on the outside, my sweet pig was ready to go home with a prescription of antibiotics and some pain medication! By the time we left, it was around 9 o'clock. The clinic closed at 8pm. We never once felt rushed and the staff was VERY friendly and super informative on how I should care for her stitches. I received a follow up call from them today wondering how Peppa was recovering. They were awesome and I was so grateful for them. Thank you Summertree Animal & Bird Clinic, you guys were amazing and we can not wait to see you again at our next check up!

This was my second visit to the clinic. I can't say enough great things about Dr. Curfman and the staff. Every step had been explained in great detail as to what would be going on in the exam with my 2 Amazon Parrots. The care of the handling of them by the staff left me without the welfare of my companions. All around a wonderful experience for myself and the parrots. I recommend Summertree to everyone.

My lizard Wizzy was sick so I brought her here a few weeks ago. I couldn't have been more grateful with the staff and vet who provided me with all the information I needed to know about her state as well as the meds that were needed to help my sweet Wizzy get better. Unfortunately, a few days later she passed. I know to some people it's just a lizard, but she was with us for over 5 years and was a sweet girl. I later got a card from the vet and staff with such great words and their condolences. This clinic goes above and beyond to let you feel like every pet is family no matter what kind of pet it is. I wanted to say THANK YOU for trying and not giving up on her and showing you guys care. THANK YOU, THANK YOU, THANK YOU!

Dr. Brazelton and all the techs were fantastic and so friendly. They really knew how to take care of my axolotl and that is precious. I would recommend all axolotl owners come here for their vet needs. I was late and then had to wait for an exam room to open, but that's expected. They want to give every pet the time and attention they need, not obey a ruthless schedule

Dr Hays and the staff at Summertree always treat us and and our pets like family. Their team goes above and beyond to make sure we are taken care of. We needed an emergency surgery just before they closed on a Saturday and they were able to save our pet. We will continue to rely on the expertise and professionalism of Summertree as long as we live in this area.

I love this clinic. They put my fears to rest when my mini schnauzer had to have two teeth pulled. The roots were parallel to the gum line and the teeth overlapped other teeth. They made me comfortable with their expertise and caring demeanor. I can hardly contain Kalea when we pull up to the office. She wants to get inside as quickly as possible. (hee hee) I've boarded her several times and she obviously loves the staff. Front desk associates are superb as well!

My hedgehog absolutely loved his visit! Dr. Murry was incredibly thorough with his exam, and even addressed issues other than what I asked for. They provided me with great resources for hedgehog care, and everyone was really nice. I would recommend for anyone with an exotic pet!

I was treated very well during my visit. You all were so very attentive and caring and took a lot of time with me, answering questions my mommy had for me and showing her how to care for my medicine needs. I was very thankful that the doctor called to check up on how I was feeling later in the day. Your warm and caring staff really make me feel I'm in great hands when I visit. Thank you for going the extra mile!

I was presented with a pretty steep quote for a regular neutering procedure for my dog and was charged a fee for a basic exam which is usually free.

These people know what they're talking about and go above and beyond to make sure you have all your questions answered and that your pet is good to go. I'll never go to another vet other than this one again. I'm beyond pleased, they went above and beyond my expectations.

This is a great clinic. The staff is kind and compassionate. I know they have a busy practice, yet they are never "rushed" - even when I've had to be worked in for an appointment. I know we've got a limited time with our pom, and Dr. Hayes and his staff have really worked with us to explain our options and give us advice. I am glad to have found this clinic and only wish I'd called sooner.

I definitely appreciated the assistance I received for my chicken. However, she was misdiagnosed and appeared to have a bite of some kind that caused her illness, as opposed to cancer. Additionally, I was given incorrect information regarding antibiotics to give to laying hens, received very expensive medication that I could not use in laying hens, was not able to communicate with the veterinarian beyond the initial face-to-face interaction, and could not get a timely response from the practice manager regarding a refund for the medication that I could not use.

There is a great need for veterinarians who will care for poultry. I encourage this clinic to build on their existing knowledge regarding safe management of animals used for human food production and consumption.

The front office staff were great! Thank you for your care.
