Pretty much an Academy. It has items for outdoor and exercise. Although convenient for wet wear cool spidering the fact that it’s in the same city as SeaWorld, which I recommend you go to.

Smh. Store hours are 09:30AM till 09:30PM on Sundays, I pull up at about 09:35AM and find myself having to wait in my car for the store to open. Almost 15 customers waited as well until I guess the manager arrived at around 09:45 AM to open the store at which time we saw at least 8 employees get out of their vehicles as well to enter the store. We obviously couldn’t get into the store yet since they were running late. Lord know how long it would take them to be up and running and ready for customers to enter the store. All of the customer in the parking lot that were waiting left, inclusive myself.

I have always had a very good experience with Academy stores, and this particular location went above and beyond in their efforts to provide an outstanding customer service experience.

I had been looking for the Astro's World Series hat, and after driving by and calling close to a dozen stores, they informed me that they had just one left. I explained that I was coming from New Braunfels and that I had already been to several stores that had sold out. The young man that I spoke with from this store offered to have it put aside for me. I was very grateful for this, especially after having spent most of my day looking for this hat.

The barbeque section alone is worth the visit. There's just about everything you could ever need when doing anything outdoors. There's actually a small section for disk golf, which I greatly appreciate being a disk golfer myself. The staff was friendly and polite, and they where almost always smiling, which was nice.

Tried to buy a pistol they have you feel out a paper on their computer. They have confusing questions. They don't stand there to help answer questions about the paper. I was there with my son which works for Bexar county Sheriffs department. He read it the same way. So I did not get the gun. The question was was I buying the gun for someone else. Now it takes 30 days before I can buy one from there.

They have a wide variety of gear and appearl for al outdoor activities. Staff is nice i just wish that i could find them a little easier. No complaints otherwise. Price seems decent and quality is exceptional. I can usually find 90% of what i need for any outdoor adventure here.

Keep an eye on their sales. Some are pretty good. This store specifically, they pointed me to an online sales site that had a better low budget AR15 that put theirs to shame. That alone earns some loyalty, but it also makes me wonder why they are still selling that same firearm at that price knowing that they could do better.

Great customer care even with a huge rush of patrons at the gun counter Saturday afternoon enjoying one of your stellar sales events. Blake did an outstanding job and Oscar came over to help out sharing his knowledge with customers who had inquiries. Great Teamwork with all 5 of the associates help all 20 of us

Lots of fun stuff to look at. They have gun, did and deals, boats, camping stuff, and everything to go with it. Plenty of staff standing around, you would think with every one standing around, they would be able to price stuff better. Too many items not priced. Fun store though.

How is love Academy Sports and Outdoors as it offers a very good alternative to Bass Pro Shops and is usually cheaper. The people who work there are always very helpful and you can usually find whatever you need from an outdoor and sports perspective.

I needed help buying some sports gear for my child. Keep in mind that I have very little interest in sports. One of the staff members walked me though the entire process and made sure I got the gear that we needed. It's nice to know that this place will take care of us when needed.
