My daughter n law and son had their baby girl here April 17th and the Dr and nurses were excellent! They were very knowledgeable and answered all our questions! A beautiful first time experience for them so thank you labor, delivery and nurses after birth for the excellent care!

Went to the ER with severe pain. Waited for about 2 hours. They had multiple traumas come in, so that's understandable. Once in fast track, they quickly gave me meds, ordered a CT, and diagnosed me with a kidney stone and infection. Nurse Stacy was the best! She made sure I was as comfortable as could be. All but one of the people that I interacted with wished me good luck and to feel better.

I must say this has been an extremely smooth and pleasant experience my husband(patient) & I have endured lately with medical professionals. My husband was very recently discharged after having a total hip replacement.

Rarely do you find genuinely kind and caring people anymore, esp medical personnel dealing w/semi-cranky patients and spouse. I admit that I hold most to a high standard of “customer service.” Whether it’s myself or family member that’s the “customer.” My husband is more understanding/forgiving than I am.

There was not a single employee or volunteer that we encountered during his stay that gave less than “5 ⭐️ service.” It’s been a very long time since I have had an experience like we just had! Thank you to every person who cared for my husband!

    Blessings

This place is awful! Go to medical city! A couple people on staff are nice but really most are rude and don't tell you what's going on and treat patients like they're idiot'sits also a pretty disgusting hospital in general the wait is always forever, like 2-4 hours usually and they are always way understaffedbeen here about 20 times over the last 7 years or so and they just seem to keep going down hill and the doctors and nurse practitioners are always rude and definitely "sadists who like to play God and watch lesser people suffer" (so GO TO MEDICAL CITY, I always get in quickly there and they are nice and keep you informed and comfortable throughout the visit. Plus it's much more clean)

First time here in the emergency and my wait to see the nurse for vitals was about 30 minutes. Wait for a room to open up and see the doctor afterwards was three hours.
Busy place this day. Friendly and helpful staff, from IV Tech, CT Scanner Tech, Dr. Davis and billing clerk. All aware of my wait time and keeping my in the loop.
I hope I don't have to visit again but at least I know I'm in his hands!

My most recent experience was absolutely terrible. The only reason for the second star is the level of care I received from daytime nursing staff. I have consistently gone to Denton Presby because of the care and treatment I have received in the past from employees there, however I will not be returning. Overwhelmingly, my negative interactions were with evening nursing staff (and one sonogram tech in ER). Each doctor I encountered in my recent visit was caring, compassionate, and acted quickly to assist me with my issues. My pain management preceding and following an invasive surgical procedure was absolutely appalling. Additionally, safety precautions were not consistently followed, and I was often left by myself in the restroom to navigate back to my bed with an unplugged IV tree while still struggling to transfer after surgery. Most concerning was my discharge- following an invasive abdominal surgery that required a morphine drip for pain management, I was told to “pick up some ibuprofen on my way home”. When I followed up with my doctor to get prescriptions for the numerous side effects they did not adequately prepare me for, she was appalled at the treatment and lack of care I had received. I will NEVER return to Denton Presby as a patient.

Horrible Horrible Place! They yelled out my personal info. in front of the whole emergency room. Hippa law they clearly didn't have training in. These docs come out of a cracker jack box!! Read BBB reviews, consumer affairs. They have like a 2 star rating. RUDE RUDE STAFF.

In the event of an emergency, I'd rather bleed out and expire in the street than be transported to the quack house aka Texas Health Denton. With the exception of a couple of fine physicians, they could care less about the health and welfare of the patient and are only interested in how much they can financially r*pe a patient. The CFO as well as the Board of directors, especially its chairman, should be incarcerated. Anyone associated should hang their head in shame for associating with this charlatan infested institution.

Went to the ER last spring for a minor motorcycle accident. They charged an astronomical price to see a doctor for 5 minutes. He wrapped my leg (very poorly, it came off an hour later), and he wrote me a prescription for antibiotics that I didn't even fill. They took an x-ray of my leg that I ended up getting 5 different bills for. I would have received better care pouring some hydrogen peroxide on it at home and wrapping it correctly myself. I would have saved close to $5,500 too

My leg is all healed now, I'm running like a gazelle, however I'll never forget this rip-off of a hospital.

Disgusting place. My mother had surgery for bowel resection in 2016, poorly done, six months later there were complications, which should not be. It was muddy in therapy, all for money. No linen Change, no warm meals in the kitchen, etc. My friend was there with liver problem. They put in a terrible room, stank of urine, dirty, with the homeless in general. And the chambers were free until the money is not given, is not transferred to another ward, there is a purely contingent and decent. The corridors smell, rude nurses. I do not advise to get. Pandemonium

I had to change my review! after giving them a second chance they absolutely exceeded my expectations! all the nurses that cared for me where just going above and beyond to make sure i had the best care and that i was feeling good. i delivered my baby naturally without drugs and i feel i was able to do it because they where there cheering me up and they believed in me. i want to give a very special thanks to doctor asis and the nurses Carly, Kim M, Marlene, and Elizabeth they were just outstanding and thanks to them my baby is here with me and that means the world to me. i hope the Lord bless every one of them abundantly for all their hard work and dedication. Thank you so much for taking care of me and my family!

My son went in in the morning due to food poisoning from eating at Chipotle. The ER bill alone is over $10,000! Apparently they also throw in a CT scan service which cost $6500 alone. Talked to their business office and they claimed they do that do all patients and the cost is justified. They also do not offer any kind of discounts. Avoid at all cost unless you like to pay ridiculous bills.

my grandson was delivered there on Monday 11/14/16, my daughter in law was in labor, when the baby was coming, the nurses stated they called Dr. Cortez because she was ready, well, the time was 8:00 p.m., after 30 minutes had passed, we asked again to update us when the Dr. was going to make it. Here it is now an hour, (NO DOCTOR), same response, she is on her way, 30 more minutes pass, contractions are getting worst, the baby is coming, and here we have a nurse and a tech trying to figure out how to deliver the baby. Not only that, the cord was wrapped around him in the mist of them trying to keep him from coming, finally, they were going back and forth with each other to determine who was going to cut it or what should they do, meanwhile, there is a baby life that is in danger, stop breathing for about 1 minute in a half, and a code had to be called. It only gets worst, the Dr. finally arrived, offered no explanation, seemed very unconcerned. Meanwhile again, I'm asking why did it take so long. A nurse responded by telling me, something was wrong with her phone and that she couldn't get any calls (mind you, they told us earlier she was on the way, but showed up almost 2 hours later), when I asked what is the proper protocol for something like that, no one could answer. this was clearly a situation where a life was in danger and not one of the staff could offer any explanation. The customer service was awful, and half the staff was rude. I think you can find a better way to ask the family to leave the room other than "ITS TIME FOR YOU ALL TO GET OUT, THE PATIENT NEED REST" ( very rude and unconcerned), (Clearly good nursing or customer service skills is not of high importance here) I have called administration, patiend advocate and risk management since Tuesday morning, here it is Thursday, no call backs or messages. This is certainly a place I would not advise my family to come back to.

Worst service EVERmy boyfriend went in for seizures yesterday morning within an hour they released him saying they don't admit for seizures which is a lie he had 2 or 3 previous to coming. ER nurse Natalie was rude and not helpful he's now on 4th floor with the rudest most racist nurses I have seen. They didn't come back like they said to do anything they were supposed to do. Bad attitudes & don't care for patients as a nurse working in a hospital should. Denton regional isn't much better but I was disappointed with presby this go round. Last time we were there we had awesome nurses and care on 3rd floor

Still sitting in the ER after over 3 hours and still have not gotten an answer. The dr came in for 2 min and labs were done too. My husband did a urine sample and they told us to call them when he had it. We called 45 min ago, I went and told her 15 min ago and they still have not picked it up. It seems they are more worried about what is for lunch. I will not be coming back to this ER for anything. Denton Regional is much better.

I usually have good experiences with this hospital, but about 2 months ago I went into the ER in EXTREME pain. I got in pretty quickly, and they did some tests, gave me a shot for pain that really did nothing, and then discharged me, all within about 2 hours or so. But they did nothing really, said "Oh that looks abnormal" after doing an ultrasound, but referred me to my doctor. They never asked me my pain level before kicking me out the door. I went home, in EXTREME pain still with a prescription for Tylenol 3. I laid in bed crying, and my husband was so worried he called my doctor's office again. My doctor called from his cell phone and asked me to come back in immediately after hearing how much pain I was in. I was in surgery that night with an ovarian torsion. He said my ovary was all black, and I saw the pictures. He removed my ovary. I had previous surgery for a partial torsion, and I told the ER doctor that and I told him that I thought something was wrong with my ovary, but he didn't listen to me.

Thank God for my doctor, I don't know how I would have made it much longer in pain. The ER doctor I saw was very nice, but I've seen him before due to abdominal pain and I think he thinks I'm not in real pain, so just dismissed me this time. Please, I ask you, don't dismiss your patients. I appreciate you guys are working on the speed of your ER, but rushing in and out does no good if you don't diagnose. I just wish he would have listened to me from the start, and took me more seriously. I knew something was wrong. This would have saved me the money of a second emergency trip as well.

On a side note, my doctor is awesome. I have no complaints about him or about how they treated me on my second trip later that afternoon. The second ER doctor I saw was fantastic, the nurse was caring, they treated me with care. Thank you!
