Brought car to Steven's 5 mos ago for a problem I thought was a key issue based on internet research. Jon replaced starter+alternator. Fast forward 5 months the wiring harness melted so brought car back. Jon discovered starter was defective and replacement/repairs covered by starter manufacturer. This is where Stevens Auto could have tried to 'double dip' they could have said 'only the parts were covered' or the 'warranty was out' so I could have had to pay all or partial replacement/etc but instead, they were *HONEST.* I'm impressed enough that I will be having them do more work in future on my family's vehicles.

Best mechanic i've ever had, hands down!! We are moving out of state, and I think i'm more upset to leave Jon than anyone else I met here. Seriously, i wish there were more stars to give. Thanks so much Jon, Chris and I will miss the hell out of you guys!

I moved to Derry less than a year ago, and when my starter failed one morning, I looked online for a shop that seemed trustworthy and not too overpriced (my vehicle tends to be on the expensive side when it comes to repairs). Steven's absolutely lived up to the reputation that is reflected by their online reviews. Not only was the work done promptly, but the price was on the lowest end of any estimates I had looked up. Jon was detailed in his assessment of the vehicle condition and the work he had done when I picked it up the next day. He informed me of an oil leak but did not push immediate repairs like many dealerships or chain repair shops. I was greatly impressed with my first experience at Steven's; if you're considering this shop, I wholeheartedly recommend it.

Outstanding service. the staff is polite , courteous and most importantly, honest! They do not try to over charge or sell you services you do not need. I highly recommend them for all of you automotive needs! Wouldn't go any where else!

I have a 2004 Pontiac Sunfire that has been solely maintained by Jon at Stevens Foreign Auto. This is an old car with a lot of problems but Jon has always been very helpful and respectful of my limited budget. He always gets the car in right away, and fixes my issues quickly without the usual upsell you get at a dealership. I live out of state now but still today if I have a problem I call up Jon before I take the car in for anything. Great place with honest, hard working techs.

Seven days ago, I took my Mini Cooper to Stevens. The first time I've ever been in there. I have a house right across the street and have seen them around for 20 years.

I wanted to get a new gas filter for the Mini. They are different than other cars. It's a huge filter and it's under the back seat. You literally have to take the back seat out to change the gas filter.

The car is 9 years old with 67,000 miles on it. So I told the guy (Steven maybe?) what I wanted. He just negated everything and tried to sell me service I didn't want. The first thing he said is that you can't change the gas filters on the Mini's. Uh, yes you can. Then he started asking me why I wanted it changed. Well, it has a slight hesitation when taking off. I thought a new filter would help. He asked how many miles and I told him. "Oh, you need new plugs and a tune up. You should get your oil changed and fluids changed."

I change my coolant and oil often. And Mini doesn't recommend new plugs until 100,000 miles. I told him that I'd just rather have the gas filter changed. He finally went and got a book and admitted that, well, whaddya know, yes they are changeable. I asked about his availability and a price. He took my number (still trying to talk me into other services I didn't want) and said he'd call me with a price. That was seven days ago.

Never heard from him again. My feelings about this place, based on my 10 minute exposure to them is PASS. The guy tells you what he THINKS (can't change the gas filter), tries to talk you into stuff you don't want and then doesn't follow up.

Probably a RIP OFF place if you ask me.
