The place is in dire need of a full renovation and modernization of the entire facility both inside and out. I cannot stress this enough, the lobby smelled musty and dank like the rundown apartments do in the projects and that speaks volumes to me regarding a real lack of pride and the unwillingness to provide continuous maintenance. Until such a move is made to fix these serious issues I would not stay here nor recommend it to anyone else

Personnel and management staff at this property are some of the best folks you would want to meet and get to know. I stayed at this property during my business trips to Durham and I will be returning if I'm back in the area. The property is supposed to be getting a renovated gymI can't wait to see it

After a long day, I booked on the app. Just before heading out I get a call from Lauren at the Staybridge. She called to tell me I see that you just booked a room and, before you drive all the way here I just wanted you to know that I only have one room left and it’s a smoking room. I didn’t want you to drive all the way here and be disappointed to find that out.”
I have been traveling for many many years and that is the first time someone has ever called me because they didn’t want me to be disappointed. I’ve shown up to find out that, even though my profile shows I want a non-smoking room, I am presented with a smoking room unexpectedly. Great job noticing what’s in my profile! I chose to stay here anyway because of her going out of her way.
I’m Diamond with Hilton and usually Platinum with IHG (dropped down to Gold temporarily) and that has never happened. I just want to say that because of Lauren’s thoughtful call, they get five stars. Thank you Lauren. I hope management appreciates your dedication to exceptional customer service. It’s those little things that separate good from Great!
Rooms were clean and the free evening Fajitas, wine and beer were welcomed after a long travel day.response / report this review -

Overall it's a nice place with friendly helpful staff. The room was clean, and much larger than usual. It even had a full kitchen and living space. The breakfast bar was a bit sparse and some of the hot items weren't the best. It was pretty similar to a Hampton Inn.

What an amazing place. Very close to lots of food options, easy highway access and close to the university. The lady at the front desk remembered me from 8 months ago! Staff here is the best and the rooms are very decent. Highly recommend this place.

I have stayed here on and off for almost 3 years now when I'm in Durham. All the staff here is professional and nice. They do make you feel like you are home. From front desk to the house keepers, every one is all smiles. Great team.
Free breakfast and 24 hour coffee. Free dinner Mon - Weds. The food is quite good.
There is a shuttle service. Laundry machines are available for free, just have to buy your own detergent and fabric softener.response / report this review -

They go above and beyond for customer satisfaction! Great location, free hot breakfast and occasional free dinners. Clean rooms, pool, fitness center, free laundry and so much more. My home away from home after surgery at Duke Medical.

We are currently staying here while my wife is getting cancer treatment at Duke and staff is excellent, the rooms are very clean and spacious They are very professional and willing to make things right all the time. From the manager to the house keeping personnel, night and day crew, the kitchen personnel, they are awesome.

Really nice Staybridge. Room clean, comfy, great breakfast, but what makes this hotel standout from the rest is 2 people. They make you feel like friends. John at the front desk is so friendly! My children went down to breakfast and they met him. They only had nice things to say about him. And the other is the man at the breakfast, he literally makes you feel served. These men make all the difference in the world.,they are awesome people!
