My wife and I downsized to an apartment. We bought all of the furniture from Rooms to Go in Raleigh. This included two full bedroom sets, couch, side & coffee tables and dining room table set. Just after one year the coffee table base cracked. They came out and said that I was SOL because the one year warranty had just expired.

We used the dining room set just for holidays and moved two years after the purchase and started using it regularly. The leg on one of the chairs cracked and was not repairable. I found that the bolts had to be tightened regularly. Went to the store and spoke to the manager and received no sympathy at all. The rest of the stuff is holding up but we paid a lot for this furniture and it is sad that two pieces broke so soon and the customer service department and store didn't care at all. We will not buy from them again.

The Sales rep was very nice and tried to give us the lowest prices possible. He stayed with us the whole time and we were in the Showroom for about 2hrs. We bought the set we liked and it was the best choice. Is comfy and beautiful. We loved the service and products.

Since most of the replies from RTG ask for the order number I included it.
Had a relatively positive experience with the purchase and delivery of a $1300 leather power duel reclining sofa. (Cindy Crawford Home collection) I am an engineer and was concerned about the durability of the motor parts. I asked the sales rep if they had many issues. I was told no. I didn't do my research and trusted what I was told. Shame on me for not being more suspicious of a salesman. Now I see that the customer service for this company is always getting ripped a new one online. I had not expected my defective motor to be replaced as I had purchased the sofa 16 months ago. Silly me for expecting it to last longer than than I guess. However my biggest complaint is that I emailed customer service asking for trouble shooting tips or parts information. I got an email back today saying that the item was not in warranty and that I should find a furniture repair place. No help identifying a reputable service provider and no mention of parts. I also took the time to call them in person. The lady that helped me was super helpful and gave me my order number, purchase date, and sent me a parts order form for the $88 motor to repair the sofa. I was shocked that the email contained no offer of parts or any other help. Frankly they have probably lost me as a customer for life now simply due to the crappy email I got basically saying I was screwed and they wanted nothing to do with helping me to fix my $1300 sofa. Since I bought the power option, it is basically unusable on one side now. I'm going through the trouble to write this hoping that other people will avoid making the same mistake as me. I suggested that RTG might consider making repair parts (specially these motors and power supplies) easier to find and order online. Funny thing is I had to write them a paper check and mail it to Florida. The lady told me that when the check cleared they would order the part and ship it to me. I don't know for sure, but I am expecting it to show up in maybe a few weeks and with little to no instructions on how to install it. BUYER BEWARE.

Update: Got contacted and offered a one time courtesy parts order after I had already purchased a repair motor part. I was also told it could take up to 90 days if the part wad not in stock. How could they not have parts that are used in all of their power furniture somewhat handy? Baffles the mind. I am still waiting for delivery, but my check cleared so I guess at least one part might show up eventually. I really miss being able to use my sofa.sigh.

I went today to purchase a sectional that I had found and liked on last Sunday. Corrie was the sales person that was helping me on Sunday but when I went back today she was off, so the finance team asked Roslyn to assist with the completion of the sale in which she stated she was getting ready to leave and didn't have time to help us. We sat there for about 20 minutes waiting to get someone to help us out. This Roslyn person preceded to say she had been there since 9 am and that she was leaving. I feel that customer service is very important when purchasing a item, which made me feel like my business wasn't wanted so I left. Roslyn needs to learn that certain things shouldn't be said in which the customer can hear her. She was very unprofessional.

I honestly can't believe what I am experiencing with Rooms To Go. Trevor at the store was great. He helped me in every way he could through the purchase process. That's where the good ended and the nightmare began. When the furniture was delivered every single piece was wrong! The sectional was the wrong color and the recliner they delivered was wrongand didn't even match the set we purchased. They agreed to leave the wrong pieces until we received the right ones but refused to assemble them the way my wife asked them to. I then went online to contact customer service and found that the price I was charged in the store was $400 more than if I would have purchased it online. So I went BACK to the store and again Trevor was very helpful. He agreed to issue me a credit for the price difference and scheduled the delivery service to pick up the wrong pieces and deliver the correct items. I received a call at 6:50am this morning saying they would be to the house in 15 minutes. I was on my way to work and my wife was taking the kids to school. Who does that? The dispatcher told me the truck driver would only wait 5 minutes and that they had no idea when they could reschedule delivery. I told him that I was to the point that I wanted to just return everything for a refund and HE LAUGHED AT ME and said,"Good luck with that!" I can't believe that a company as big as Rooms To Go conducts business this way. I hate being "that person" that makes a special point to give a bad review but I want to help keep someone else from having the same nightmare I am going through.*****UPDATE**** They told me they would call back yesterday to set up a delivery time, they never called. I contacted the store manager and requested a refund and that they pick up the furniture that they delivered. He said that they don't have a return policy and that it will take at least a week for them to get back out to pick up the WRONG furniture that they delivered. My next call is going to be to the Better Business Bureau. THIS IS RIDICULOUS! I just want my money back for the furniture I paid for but never received! Now they're telling me that they will give me my money back with a 20% restocking fee. THAT'S $500! I just filed a case with BBB.****It's now been 3 weeks since I bought the furniture. They're sending me financing bills for furniture I still haven't received. They have made no effort to contact me in any way. I guess it's my responsibility to make sure they live up to their obligations.

This store had a very large range of styles, fabrics, patterns and colors. Kind service representatives. But the location was weird, as it was easy to see but hard to find the entrance. Also there were a lot of extra charges I didn't really need or want that I had to nigotiate around. But I think that is more of a problom with the chain rather than the specific store.

    HORRIBLE!!!!!!!!!!!! DO NOT SHOP HERE
This is the worst store ever. I have never seen so much incompetence in one place. If you must buy from Rooms 2 Go, go to the Raleigh store, don't do business with the Durham store. I would give zero starts if the review would allow it. This place does not know what they are doing or how to act professionally at all. Still waiting for my "expedited delivery" furniture that should have arrived yesterday. They "forgot" that paperwork needed to be signed requiring a trip back to the store. After taking off work on Thursday for the entire day waiting for delivery, get a call at 8:45 pm that they are not coming. Call the store and the office assistant is a big liar who says she will check and call me back but of course she doesn't because the store is closing and she is off the next day. Liars, incompetent, unprofessional. This is a sorry failure of a store.

DO NOT SHOP HERE. I was bait and switched at this store. I went in to purchase a king bedroom set. I was greeted by Corrie, who gave me time to browse and wasn't overly pushy. Got my choice narrowed down to two. Discussed Corrie's recommendation between the two. We added a chest and the upper sleigh foot board which gave us a total of $2900. We agreed. We scheduled a delivery date (ended up being two because the dresser wasn't in stock), swiped, signed, received our paperwork, and left happy with our purchase. It went down hill from there. On the first delivery, the bed frame looked small after being built. Asked delivery men if was a king, they didn't confirm. Second delivery date had to chase after the delivery men so they would attach the mirror to my dresser. After they left, bed still looked small, so measure it. It was a queen. Called customer service, order was put in for a queen. Called store. Attempted to confirm that the additional $215 they were asking was part of the original $2900 I was quoted (I thought I was quoted right, but order placed wrong). They told me the next day it would be $45/month under the financing deal. Didn't add up. Asked a bunch of questions to confirm correct, sounded right, so let it go. Went in to pay, found out wasn't included and was basically forced to pay $65 additional for a bedroom set that I wasn't quoted properly for to begin with. They gave me $150 credit out of the goodness of their hearts, since, as I was told by corporate, by law since I signed the receipt with only the Queen, they didn't have to do anything. I couldn't even check because I didn't get the paperwork until after I signed! So yeah. DO NOT SHOP HERE, THEY WILL SCREW YOU OVER.
