Great views, outrageously wonderful staff throughout the entire hotel, comfortable beds, excellent decor, perfect location and easy to access power outlets. Executive lounge was staffed and provided ample amenities at all times during our stay. Only downfalls were extremely dry air and bad sink water pressure in room 937. Otherwise excellent experience. Will be back!
Beautiful Hotel, excellent location! Well within walking distance of the Smithsonian museums, the National archives building, and the Holocaust museum just to name a few. Exemplary customer service by every single member of the staff. My favorite staff member was the lady that took care of my fiancée and I during breakfast time at the hotel’s restaurant. Fifi was amazing!
An all around fantastic experience
Fantastic location with just minutes away from major landmarks in DC. Clean and modern rooms. Excellent service and food. What I liked the most about the hotel besides the location and the view to the Washington Monument was the elevators. Unlike other comparable hotels, you never have to wait much for an elevator and almost never have to ride in it with others. They have a system that has you press your room floor and then tells you which elevator to take and then takes you directly to your floor without stopping. Very efficient system. Will defenitely stay at the JW again on my next visit to DC.
Decent hotel. Good location. Bar downstairs was nice, bartender was accommodating to the custom shots I requested and the drinks on the menu were amazing. Biggest downside to the hotel was you can only "request" the type of room you want, no guarantees. So we ended up with a room with two doubles instead of a king.
Location was awesome!!! I loved the room, the grand main floor and gorgeous chandeliers. Room service was reasonably priced and food was good. Bed was comfortable. Really clean and well taken care of. Our king room was a bit small but we didn't have any issues during our week long stay. Everyone was really nice. Superb!
Called the day before our stay to see if they offered spa services and was transferred to the concierge who never replied. Requested a King room to spend a romantic weekend with my boyfriend who comes to Washington on a regular basis for school and who I hadn't seen in a week and we were given a Double room! Upon request for a King room we were told that they could not guarantee room types even though we had booked five months in advance! The best they could do is move us to a King room the next day. Really!? So our romantic weekend has suddenly turned into us having to keep moving our stuff around and being displaced for the two days that we're there!? How is this a luxury hotel? Our stay has barely begun and we already know we will never be staying at a Marriott hotel again. Our last stay at the Four Seasons Gerogetown was perfection compared to this.
We used this hotel for our wedding guests to stay here last October and it was fantastic! My wife stayed there before the wedding as well and they set her up in a suite that was absolutely stunning!
On our wedding night, they had desert and champagne in our room and really treated us as if we were royalty! We felt so spoiled. The event coordinators who set up our room block were so helpful and generous.
Also, the hotel was recently renovated and looks AMAZING!!!!!! It's absolutely gorgeous. I would stay here again and recommend anyone else to come here as well.
The staff was friendly and accommodating. Housekeeping was awesome and worked around the clock. We had a clean room stocked with chocolates every evening we came back from a day at the museums. The pool and gym area were decent. Only problem there were ants on the pool deck. The concierge lounge was however one of the worst I have been into on a Marriott property. Tight quarters so not enough seating and the layout with the food caused a long line. With a hotel as big as this is they can do better. This hotel caused us more stress than relaxation. Great views on the Pennsylvania side.
Nicely renovated rooms with sleek modern furnishings. While some may think the rooms are on the small side it was perfectly fine for two adults and a teenager. Rooms are very well insulated and we never heard any surrounding room, hallway, or street noise ensuring a good nights rest. You cannot beat the location, so close to the national mall, White House, Capitol, and short cab ride to Arlington and the airport. All of the staff we encountered were courtesy and accommodating. Breakfast was excellent. And this property offers complimentary bottled water just ask housekeeping to leave extra or ask the front desk for bottles - this was a great feature for us and something I always look for in amenities. Overall a great value and would stay again. Great view from our room.
We loved this hotel!! Seriously comfortable-- beds, pillows best ever! We called the shower the healing shower because the shower head gave the perfect water pressure. Location was also perfect for our D.C. Sightseeing, staff were helpful, appreciated the coffee and water in the room. Another fun modern feature we enjoyed were the elevators. You will have to go check them out to see what we are talking about.
VERY convenient location! Easy walk to all the major sites in the area. Staff has been extremely helpful and beds are to die for! Wonderful start to our honeymoon!
The facilities here are beautiful; not just the lobby and restaurants but the rooms too. It's wonderfully located just a moment's from the White House and Washington Monument. Best of all, the employees here are amazingly friendly and helpful- front desk, housekeeping, security, etc. Great place to stay.
Attended an all-day conference in the lower level meeting rooms. Very nice upscale hotel overall. Catering services executed well this event, I enjoyed the full breakfast hot buffet and beverage service. Rooms could accommodate large attendees in a central room, and the varying breakout rooms on the same floor easily handled sizes into the hundreds.
Absolutely first class experience. From the moment my wife and I arrived, to the moment we drove off, our weekend at JW Marriott exceeded our expectations. The property is impressive, wonderfully maintained and staff couldn't have been more professional.
The location is within 10 minute walk to White House and Trump Hotel, and 15 minutes to Mall and World War 2 Memorial. Virtually anywhere you need to go is within walking distance. Very safe too. Police presence is almost everywhere.
Nice establishment in the nations capital. You can tell the staff takes good care of the place. For parking there is valet with a garage. There is a walk through to a food court that I believe is on G street. Great food choices here! Of you are in the city, this is a great place to stay.
