Drove 9 hrs from kansas city to purchase a 2015 Kawasaki with 350 miles. Was told the bike was clean and ready to go. It was far from it. Front brake reservoir clearly showed low fluid. Was also a quart low on oil and the bike was filthy. It was a decent deal on price but that's about where the good part of the experience ended. The most frustrating thing, no oem tool kit, no owners manual, (was told i could purchase online) and no 30 day tag was issued. All things dealers should and have done in the past used bike or not. I'm guessing they knew they weren't getting any other money from me since i wasn't local and after a nine hr trip wouldn't balk at the purchase.
Sportland is great. Good selection and Cory helped me find the right bike
These guys got me back on the trails fast. & at the cheapest labor rate in the city. Im a customer for life
Tom and his crew are great to deal with. Very personable, knowledgeable & extremely helpful - what's not to like about that?!?
They helped me out with a VERY exciting Christmas!
Went in to check out a used bike. No pressure to buy. Salesman was nice and friendly. Gave me more than other places were going to for my trade in. Didn't even have to ask for a test ride as they already assumed there would be one. Definitely coming back when I want another bike.
I just got my bike serviced and they did a great job. Very professional and nice. I appreciate a place I can count on. I have been a customer for many years and they always treat you right. Lou
I'm an interstate rider from NY. Great fly and ride experience.
I'd been planning on upgrading my bike and had been patiently waiting for a deal on the bike model that I wanted. I was willing to ride the bike back to NY as long as it was an acceptable distance and at a good price. A used bike appeared in Sportland2 at a reasonable price. I called and spoke with Cory. He took hi res photos and a video for me and was very easily contactable on the phone. He made the process of buying a bike, sight unseen, a little easier. He conceded that they were not experts in BMW so could not go into detail about the bike's history and condition. I called around Milkwaukee BMW dealerships myself and I was able to locate the dealership that services the bike. Good history. I put a deposit down.
When it was time to collect the bike, I flew in to MKE where Cory picked me up himself. Sportland2 is less than 10 minutes from the airport. The bike was exactly as I expected. Kevin made sure the bike was spotless.
Very pleased with the purchase. Cory also followed up to see how my ride back was going. All in all a very smooth purchasing experience.
Hard to rate, visit went fine until salesman try to start a bike and in lack of knowledge cross wired the jump cables. We still put a deposit position on the bike to go today and see it, but they postponed to Wednesday then they postponed again till Friday, excuse is the cleaning of the carb is taking longer. I have cleaned them and it does not take a week. So I'll wait to give them a star rating till this is resolved but as of now it would be a generous 3 star because of the accessory Dept.
Awesome experience buying my Dual Sport Suzuki DRZ from Corey in Sales! After dealing with 2 local dealerships, one where the staff was "too busy" to come and talk with me and another where they treated me like I had the word "Sucker" written on my forehead, I decide to drive 45 minutes to Sportland 2. Their staff is friendly, helpful and down to Earth. I am very pleased with my purchase and will be back for future motorcycle needs.
I brought my pitbike in and I waited over 3 months for it to be fixed and when I picked it up it was in worse condition than when I brought it in I would recommend you bring whatever machines you have that need repairs to a different location the mechanics don't know what they are doing there!!!! Very disappointed.
I am having issues trying to understand the idea of charging 1100 dollars in extra fees for a motorcycle as simple as a DR650. I came in to your store ready to purchase, with 1000 dollars down and was shut down. First your online inventory says you have a 2016 DR650 for sale for 5189.00. It was not available when I arrived at the store. That is a classic bait and switch and is a dirty business practice. Second, 400 dollars was added to the bike because I wanted 0% financing, then an additional $485 for setup, $75 for a dealer swap and then $85 for paperwork then tax, tag and title which was still more than 115 dollars. Total comes to $6300. 1000+ dollars more than advertised. That is a large difference and strongly misrepresents what is advertised. I wish the interaction was a little more positive but this is the kind of business practice consumers need to be aware of when purchasing a motorcycle. Consumers need a place where they can build a relationship with their dealer. Consumers will return for aftermarket parts and accessories where they know who they can trust and establish raport. All because of this interaction I am turned off from making a Suzuki purchase anywhere in Wisconsin and will copy this review to a public domain as a rating. Sportland 2,I hope your sales are better when the temperatures are warmer because the reception into the Suzuki brand was as cold as a February Wisconsin day (which it was). Please rethink your 485 dollar setup fee for a DR650 (20yr old system that is carbureted, really?) and update your web page appropriately to reflect current inventory. Thank you for your time.
Wish their motocross gear selection was what it used to be a few years ago. Went in to buy all new gear and ended up leaving empty handed since there was nothing my size, or just plain nothing at all. Ended up having to order my things online through various companies which is a gamble. Who doesn't prefer to try something on first to make sure it truly fits before the purchase? I know I do!
Exceptional place. Honda offered deep discounts on VFRs and I searched from WI to NY. This was the only place that did not try to cheat and get part of the discount back as a markup.
Cory was great. Coordinated the sale over the phone, was ready to have the bike shipped to me, yet was willing to change plans when I said I would fly in to pick it up. Wonderful guy whom I would have loved to see perform in a show--he does stunts! Picked me up from the airport an hour before opening the store and spent a long time with me to get me on my new bike and have what I needed for the ferry back to Michigan.
A store worth traveling to!
