The service was a bit slow even though the place was basically empty, but the food was good, the prices were reasonable, and there are plenty of beers on the draft list.

Theatre itself is mediocre, but the river park and brewery nearby, which are really great in my opinion, make this place worthwhile to go. So, if you are planning to do something after or before watching movies, this place might be a good option.

Went to this theatre for my first time today and it was a great experience. Ticket prices are very affordable as well as the concessions, surprisingly. Staff was friendly and helpful, very clean and we saw My Friend Dahmer which was a great film.

The actual movie experience was great, however the cashier behind the register was less than helpful and had a less than appetizing personality. Other than that, I enjoyed the movie going experience and would return.

I came here a couple of times with friends and the place needs some cleanup. The staff wasn't very friendly, but also not rude with us. Other than that, it's still a good option for movies near downtown Pittsburgh.

Decent selection of recently-released films. Slightly better than average concession stand. Not crowded, discount Mondays (including new releases).

I got dress to watch a movie with my daughter for her birthday. Could not watch anything because they don't provide closed caption devices. When I asked about it this one lady had an attitude all smug about it no sympathy. Told her that's not providing accessibility for Deaf people, just shrug her shoulders. I hope some results come from the lawsuit about this very issue

Went to go see a movie at 12:30 and there was no video just sound! When we told the manager she disappeared and didn't fix the problem. The other two employees were nice and tried their best to help us. Probably won't ever come back to this theater.

It's hard to give such a harsh rating, however it really come down to the employees over the past few years and how they haven't taken care of it. They simply DON'T want to work. Loads of popcorn is always on the hallway floors, employees play with their cellphones & horse play instead of greeting customers, and the standard sticky show room floors.

The cinema is located in a nice shopping square in the city which should handled with great care to invite locals and out of town visitors.

I visit it out of convenience and wish to visit more. To the mgmt, please take care of this place & help shine some light on the South Side Works. If the next few visits get better, I'll gladly change the rating.

It really hurts to 2 star this place.

Cheaper than the chain theaters. Very nice picture and audio quality. Historic look to the interior.

STAY AWAY FROM THIS THEATRE!! I always loved this theatre because of nostalgia but now it lost it's touch. First of all I tried entering the back entrance near the parking garage like I always do until I got screamed at by the security guard that I can't go in that way that I have to walk around to the front. So I get to the front and all of the doors are locked except for one. I enter and pay for my tickets then walk the stairs up because the escalator was broken and gave the high school kid my ticket and he was like I have to check your purse for weapons. I stated I carry a 2 inch retractable knife for self defense because a girl needs something to defend herself with. He then stated I can't enter, after I already paid for the movie. I didn't want to walk all the way back to the parking garage and come back because I would of missed part of the movie I paid for. I like going to the movies to escape the bullcrap that's going on in the world and instead I felt like an inmate at a prison and my whole movie going experience was completely ruined!

Good sound, comfortable stadium seating, and a friendly staff. Some nights it looks empty, but that's because the ticketing is on the ground floor and the movies are upstairs.

Love this theater!!! Rather go here than any suburban complex because there are sidewalks, always plenty of reasonable parking, and the urban atmosphere of this fabulous city makes you feel so alive. Then there is the architecture up and down Carson Street which alone warrants a day trip just to absorb and appreciate. Suburban squares, strip malls, and centers are bland boxes designed by robots.
