Visited during the winter and found the resort nice and quiet. Pretty clean, but needs updating in the room I was in. They were doing some construction and updating during my visit. Staff were friendly and excellent access to the beach. Bar on site was nice with friendly bartenders. Would visit again for the price!
Great location, right on the beach. Rooms are dated but clean and comfortable. Check in staff were satisfactory but not what I'd describe as overtly friendly, but we were here for the beach so it didn't matter. The bar, however, is great, friendly professional staff, perfect proximity to the beach, attentive table service and nice food. Great orientation for sun set. Ideal.
I liked the atmosphere here. Clean room but the in-room dehumidifier was a little bothersome as it recommended the filter be cleaned the first night of my stay and already had a full water tray. Easy access to the beach from a lovely breezeway. Overall a great place to stay.
dated, but affordable. 10 pm close time for hot tub and pool seems bad considering people are on vacation and stay up later. kills the social vibe. like many resorts on this stretch great beach access, but does have a good $14.95 hot breakfast buffet.
Nice room, great staff while checking in and out! I was running late and didn't check my bill when I was checking out and noticed once I got back home that there was an additional charge on top of the room rate and the resort fee. I tried calling EIGHT times over the next 3 weeks and never received a call back or an answer. I only wanted a simple question answered. During my calls, I was transferred numerous times, hung up on and one hopeless assistant tried her hardest to get a manager, but of course they had all left by 2 pm on a Thursday. In my opinion a very unprofessional way to treat a customer. I would have been happy with an explanation, but instead I was ignored.
Great experience, quite contrary to the other people who have reviewed the Sirata. We got a great room with a kitchen overlooking Harry's bar and we could literally step right out onto a courtyard with 2 pools and a hottub. You're never more than a few steps away from a hammock, comfortable seat, or the sand of the beach! Lots of great amenities available, many of them cost additional but are well worth it. Drinks are cheap enough to keep them flowing continuously while keeping your tab open. Restaurant food is great at it's worst and gourmet at best. Staff is generally great, my worst experience so far has been that they are TOO attentive which is certainly better than having them be assholes.
Stayed with a travel zoo purchase, room we got was a typical motel room, it was clean and beds were comfortable. Expected more of a resort style room but for two people it was ample. The pool's are very small the beach is nice, however you must rent the beach equipment, it is not included in the resort fee, which is pretty steep for including almost nothing. We did use their complementary bikes several times and that was fun, we rode from pass a grille to treasure island. The worst thing we encountered was apparently if you get a discounted room they put you directly under the 8th floor wedding reception dance room. The noise from that is unbearable from about 7 to 11:00 pm nightly. Don't bother bringing kids if you get those rooms, you will not sleep.
Our stay at the Sirata Beach was very good. The room was large and clean. Harry's was a nice retreat to watch the sunset. This resort was conveniently located, close to a wide selection of restaurants, and the beach was great. We would recommend this place to friends. Reasonable price for a very nice place.
Great place to chill and have fun. The beach is right there, but bring your own chair and umbrella otherwise be prepared to rent them for 43 a day. The pools and hot tub are nice and they have 3 restaurants to choose from. There are lots of things close by to walk to as well. Great all around place.
Obviously there are huge differences in parts of the resort. My experience was all positive. I stayed here in January 2017 for the College National championship game. I was traveling with my college alumni association. The moment I stepped off the charter the service was good. The bellman grabbed our bags and our keys were ready so he wisked us off to our room giving us details of the resort and telling us our room had an ocean view before we got there. He was right. The facilities were dated but very clean and in good working order. The only thing i did not like is you walk right into the bedroom with bed next to door. I dis like that we had a separate den area with a full kitchen and table and chairs for breakfast even though we ate out the entire time. The fitness center was small but adequate. The resort was not full and most of the establishments were not open because it was winter time.
My husband and I stayed at the Sirata Beach Resort this past April for our 1 year wedding anniversary. The room was nice (I'm not real picky on whether or not the room is extremely updated or not because we went for beach and not the room), staff was nice and we really enjoyed our stay. We were extremely excited to find a resort that had an all inclusive package and once we got there were thinking "we would definitely come back!" We still may go back BUT while we were there we were informed the new owners were doing away with the all inclusive :(.
I still would recommend the resort but I really wish we had the option of the all inclusive if we plan another trip.
Room was a bit more like a motel than expected but it would be okay if the service was better. Other than some minor items, the biggest issue we had was unnecessarily complicated. They never put shampoo in the room and when we called they said they would bring it up. Over an hour later, we never got a call or visit, so we called back. Rinse and repeat this 3 times until it is now been a few hours and I go to the front counter myself (in another building). In a very calm, understanding way, I explained the situation. They say they ran out of shampoo and "there is nothing we can do for you". So instead of them going and buying some shampoo for paying customers at a resort, we had to find a local grocery store in the area and buy our own.
Any place on the beach is a good place as far as I'm concerned. We stayed at the Sirata for the week-end. The rooms are in need of remodel, however, they seemed to be clean enough. The food at Rum Runners is the worse I've ever had, it's convenient, but that's about it, from breakfast lunch & dinner, do your self a favor & go off site to eat. Harry's was not as bad & much friendlier waiters, waitress & bartenders. The pool was awesome, the cabanas were ok, had to ask for maintenance to spray for ants while we were there & they never did, but one of the girls did sweep it out for us. Kathy from Rum Runners waited on us Sunday morning for breakfast and she was a hoot & had us all laughing.
Whatever you do - don't leave any valuables in the room! We checked out on Monday morning, 05/16/17 and I accidentally left my Apple Watch. Of course, no one turned it in as lost property. I have been calling this hotel since Monday evening with no resolution at all. The first thing the front desk person said was 'we are not responsible for anything left in the room'. The security person, Allen, told me that no one had turned anything in and 'all items of value are turned in'. How can that be? This begs 2 questions. If all items are turned it, where is my apple watch? And if the housekeeping staff did not find it - Did they even clean the room? Someone has it and has turned off the 'find my apple watch' - it cannot be located. That's not all - bags of trash and used towels line the hallways of this hotel, the rooms are marginally clean and they definitely need to update. I would not stay here again - even if I didn't have my apple watch not turned in by housekeeping staff.
We decided to have our wedding here. From start to finish everything was wonderful. Check in was quick and easy, a bell hop came to my car in the parking lot to assist us. The view was fantastic. The few minor issues were smoothed out quickly by the wonderful staff who was always ready to help.
The event planning was so easy and was flawless thanks to all the wonderful work from Amanda. She made sure every detail was ironed out well in advance and was readily available to answer any questions I had.
