Staff very friendly great location. rooms need to work updating for sure. but were clean. Love staying here. Will be back. toasted Monkey is awesome you have the most amazing staff there.
Very Disappointed. Attached to the pool area is a bar that over serves customers to the point they are staggering drunk. We had our kids at the pool at 7pm and had drunks passing out onto our stuff, swearing and falling down on the ground. We removed our kids from the pool area and had to return to our room. Hotel front desk informed me that the bar is open to the public and there wasn’t much she could do. I paid to stay there plus paid a resort fee but I had to take my kids back up to our room and not enjoy the amenities. We proceeded to watch the bar patrons pee in parking lot and hit people’s cars. Definitely not a family friendly hotel!!
The staff was very friendly. Rooms were filthy and outdated. Chair in room was broke, most of the lights in room did not work. Sliding glass door was old and rattled with the wind all night. No phone line in room. Elevator did not work off and on during our stay. Other guest we were there with sat on the bed which broke and came off the pedestal. They did give them a new room however no refund as of yet. Pool and beach nice. Restaurant was great next door
We stayed here 5 years ago during a hurricane. Wasn't the best, but it was during a hurricane and everything was flooded. Stayed here again this year as my daughter had state meet for gymnastics in Bradenton. It's a Ho Jo. It's a little outdated, but comfortable nonetheless. Room was quiet surprisingly as it was very busy while we were there. Convenient to everything. Would stay again.
Not a bad place for the price. Definitely one of the cheaper places along the strip, and compared to some of the big resorts nearby it's pretty barebones, but you get a perfectly functional experience for your money. Staff is super friendly and the adjoining restaurant/ bar gets pretty lively in the evenings. You also get beach access. Biggest downside for me was the awful texture work on the walls of my room.
The rooms were decent. Nothing impressive, but not bad at all! The room I stayed in had a mini fridge and two sinks (one in the bathroom + one right outside the bathroom). The beds were not very comfortable but, it could just be my preference. The staff was nice and there was room service ever day. The pool is a comfortable to relax - pool towels are provided.
Rooms were dirty, locks were broken. Did not feel comfortable or safe. Not worth the money. Only redeeming quality was on-site bar.
Not at all what we expected. Rooms were dated, maintenance needs improved badly. Cleanliness was ok, not great. Staff was friendly. Gated parking lot requires room key to access. Best part about this place was the Toasted Monkey restaurant next door. We will not stay at this hotel again. The picture is the tile leading to the balcony, I found problem areas like this all over the hotel.
On arrival I checked in Got a full cart of my stuff to the 4th floor and my door key didn't work A maid had to let me in So I went for dinner then filled a second car of items and my key didn't work again the neighbors tried to help it still wouldn't work The neighbor called down to the front desk to get someone to come up Guest services said I had to come down they would not come to the room. When I got down to the desk they just redid the keys and said I was fine. I went to the room and again for a 3rd time could not get in. I had the maid let me in again I called downstairs a few they sent maintenance who let me know the door was actually broken. I was moved to another room than had little tiny ant looking things everywhere. I checked on for 10 days checked out after 3 nights. Yuck.
Ordered Ocean front suite - got double room that I wouldn't let me dog sleep in. Seriously it was bad. The suites are not suites - they are only one room (we expected two from pictures and couch) and evidently only a few have kitchens. Most have old fridges and microwaves. They rooms do NOT look like the pictures.
We downgraded to a standard room and it was cleaner. These are old rooms. They look it too. Cleaning services could be improved. The desk staff was super nice and accommodating. The Toasted Monkey is awesome for breakfast, dinner, and nightlife. Other than the rooms the place is fine - location and amenities for great for the price. FYI - right side (odd number rooms) have ocean views on upper levels even though they don't say they do - better than the other side ;)
Room was pretty basic for the price. Water dripped in the shower all night. We were on the first floor and heard quite a few people at 2-3am. Otherwise, the room was clean, bed was comfy, and it was within walking distance to the water!
This place is WAY over priced for the rooms that it has to offer. The ironing boards are rusted with an iron tied to the ironing board as if someone would steal a 25 year old iron. The carpet is approximately 20 years old and stained and disgusting. You feel you want to keep your shoes on while walking anywhere in the room or around the building. Immediately start checking for bugs when you arrive because this place makes you feel scummy. Terrible front desk service, terrible food that is way over priced. Parking is extremely inconvenient because locals come to the bar and take up all the parking spots and front desk doesn't care. Don't Waste Your Money!!
The only positive about this hotel was the location and the beds were soft. My family is from SC and we booked to stay here for my son's wedding. The hotel is VERY outdated, the halls were hot and musky smelling, the hall carpets were very dirty, the parking was terrible (not even enough for the guest). The inside of the rooms were very outdated, the tile floors (which were throughout 1/2 of the room were cracked & chipped and the small carpeted area of the rooms were very dingy. Our bathroom floor flooded from water rolling out from under the tub every you took a shower, when we notified them of it they acted like it was no big deal and it never got fixed during our stay. The bottom of our shower had a huge air bubble in it, so the floor was constantly moving under your feet. The office staff were not very friendly or helpful but the cleaning crews were. I would not recommend this hotel unless you were just there to party and were going to be obliviously drunk the whole time you were there.
In Treasure Island for a wedding and this hotel was booked for us. It is more than an unclean place to stay and the price is INSANE for such a dirty and dated hotel. I always bring my own disinfecting wipes to hotels as I do not trust anyone to clean as well as I would, and when wiping the tile down, it turned nearly black.so I cannot imagine the filth in the dirty and stained carpet that is throughout this place. I swear it looks like there is a blood stain in the hallway carpet outside of our room. Do not believe the posted photos of the rooms on the site because we have multiple friends staying here and all of the rooms are dirty and dated beyond the posted photos. The bathroom is beyond gross. The floor mats in the tub are obviously NEVER picked up and cleaned. I wouldn't even allow my children to sit in the tub, they stood for the quickest. shower. ever.
There is NO excuse that updates have not been made to this place. I would've stayed elsewhere, but the mother of the bride would've lost the full amount of the room and I didn't want to disrespect her like that.
Disregard the 1 Star..OVERALL RATING: ZERO
Pay a little extra and stay someone clean and pretty in Treasure Island.
My husband and I recently blocked rooms for our wedding. We stayed there a couple weeks ago and we were satisfied. Yes some of the bathrooms in the rooms need some maintenance (mirrors on door need to be washed spot free, and back of bathroom door needs to be washed better) I stayed in 4 different rooms with my family and all the bathrooms had the same problems! My family was satisfied with the rooms and did not complain because we did ask how their rooms were. We loved the fast service at the toasted monkey and the tiki bar! The pool area was really nice and perfect for a gathering. We were disappointed at night that the lights at the tables in the pool area did not work at night due to a previous fire. It was dark but we managed. Overall we were very satisfied with our stay and choice of hotel for our wedding guests!
