Just attended our company’s Holiday party. The food, drink and staff were amazing. The Birchwood really knows how to delivery a superior dining experience.

Great rooftop bar in an already awesome city. Beautiful view from the top and the atmosphere is amazing, without prices being crazy. My favorite bar in Tampa Bay.

I went to the canopy rooftop bar. You have to take the elevator up, not hard to find on beach drive! The views we're incredible and since it is nearing Christmas time, there were some spectacular light decorations to see. I just had a vodka soda but in prior visits I've gotten the vodka cocktails and they are amazing! Wednesday is ladies night so there are $6 vodka cocktails too. Service was fantastic all 4 times I've been.

I met some friends from out of town for dinner in the main restaurant. Our service wasn't great and the food was horrible. I sent my dish back twice to at least get a hot meal ~ twice my dish came back lukewarm or less. For the price of their meals the food should be superior and a little better presentation. I wouldn't recommend this place or go back. Your canopy area maybe great, however your restaurant needs some help.

Situated in a beautiful location in downtown St Petersburg. The rooms are all decored classically, bringing about a warm relaxation. In the guests rooms you truly feel like a king or queen with the luxurious finishes. This is a great place for events or a weekend getaway.

The Birchwood has a wonderful restaurant and The Canopy upstairs offers a brilliant view of Beach Drive and the bay. I highly recommend this place for the wonderful atmosphere.

We stayed at the Birchwood for Hurricane Irma. We were not alone. The Hotel was full. The owner had sent most of his regular employees home to tend to their families and homes. The Hotel was staffed by friends and relatives of the owner. We never wanted for anything. They provided complimentary breakfast, lunch and dinner. The Bar was open and a good time was had by all. The owner who was on site and his staff were exceptional! The hotel is very, very nice and the rooms are outstanding. I would highly recommend this Hotel.

Great food in the restaurant and the roof top bar is a gem. We are not from saint Petersburg and we had dinner there a few years ago,yesterday we were passing through St Pete , so decided to stop by Birchwood for lunch, and again it didn't disappoint. If you want finely prepared dishes , at a nice place with a great view - that's it.

Very classy, loved the openess and atmosphere. Prices were not cheap but by no means were they too high. Staff was extremely polite and even though it was ridiculously busy, they were very fast.

I am so happy that my husband and I chose the right venue for our wedding. We knew that we wanted something classic and elegant, and The Birchwood definitely delivered. From day one, everyone we worked with was extremely responsive and flexible. We wanted our entire wedding to be vegan, and all of the staff at The Birchwood didn't even bat an eye! This was absolutely not the case with any other venue or catering company we talked to. The Birchwood staff responded to literally every little question I had immediately, and kindly. The chef made us several different options at our tasting to accommodate our vegan menu, and it was all delicious! The day before the wedding, we needed to get in to the ballroom to set a few things up, and the staff made it happen for us even though they had to rush. The bridal suite was gorgeous, and they delivered a nice plate of our appetizers and mojitos to us during our cocktail hour so that we could have a moment alone before making a grand entrance to our reception. When we walked into our reception, it was more than we ever could have hoped for! The sweetheart table they set up for us was so beautiful, and there were many little touches that we never would have thought of that pulled everything together perfectly. Our wedding guests were raving about the food, and they were surprised that eating an all plant-based meal could taste so good! At the end of the night, a few of us went up to The Canopy rooftop bar and enjoyed a few drinks and some cupcakes in a cabana. When we returned to the bridal suite, a bottle of champagne was waiting. It was all so magical. The Birchwood staff thought of every little detail, and worked very hard to make our day as special as possible. Every step of the way, we knew that we had chosen the right venue. Lauren, Leja, Tim, Casey, Chef Karim, and everyone else who worked so hard to make us so blissfully happy, we appreciate you! Thank you for the beautiful memories!

The food is great. Service is usually good. The rooms are small but very nice. (My brother-in-law got a room after he got married and I saw it.) The Canopy bar is also a nice spot to have a drink and see the city as long as it isn't windy or raining.

Amazing views from the rooftop bar, serving a full menu of food and drink. Staff is always available to serve you delightful eats. Private canapy rental is a available. Fire pits, umbrellas. A local and tourist hot spot. A must when in town, especially at sunset.

Amazing place to have dinner with someone special. I went there for Valentine's Day and was not disappointed. The ambiance, service, and food was highly impressive. The Canopy on the top floor is where I spend most of my evenings, looking over the bay while having one of their many happy hour drink specials.
