A beautiful setting on the Waters of the Back Bay. 5 minutes to the Gulf, 2 minutes to CVS or Publix. The handiest KOA on Earth.
Last time I was here I had a motorhome so backing into a waterfront space was easy. This time I have a new trailer. Not so easy. The staff was very patient with my incompetence. They got me all set up and it was smooth sailing after that.
The provided shower and bathroom facilities are spacious and well-maintained.
The staff is awesome, the on-site General Store is extensive, and all facilities worked well. I will be back.

We were initially concerned that we were paying too much money for this camp and location but once we arrived we were totally impressed with the cabin and the camp amenities despite it's Central St. Pete location. Our initial stay was a busy weekend of obligations and thus we didn't really have time to enjoy the park for what it has to offerbut we do plan to book another stay (sooner not later!) so that we can kick back and kayak, fish, ride the Pinellas Rails-to-Trail and just enjoy S'mores at our campfire.

KOA St Pete Madeira Beach is probably one of the best KOA's I've been to thus far. The fire pit grill combination is a great additive as well as the paver patio. Anticipating many more Adventures at St Pete Pier KOA if you've not been don't miss it.

This is THE KOA! Wow! Yes, it's pricy for a campground. But what you get for it is well worth the money. The grounds are impeccable. There is so much to do right in the campground. The Pinellas Trail is literally right there to enjoy. Madeira beach is a 5-minute car ride. The adults only hot tub is huge and plenty big enough for a relaxing time for everyone. The staff was extremely friendly and I cannot stress enough how well maintained this campground is. Such a delightful stay.

One of the best kept parks we have been to. The staff was awesome, polite and informative. We definitely be back. Thanks for a great visit.

Awesome campground all round! I was very pleased with my weekend stay at this KOA. It was very well maintained and clean. SUPER dog friendly, they had more amenities than some of the other popular campgrounds in the area. They are centrally located with a Super Walmart, WAWA Gas station, and the gulf beaches very close by. Highly recommended! Thanks for a fantastic stay St. Petersburg / Madeira Beach KOA!!

Really liked this campground! Pool/spa/clubhouse/store were really nice and clean. Lots of fun things you are able to rent..bikes & such. Helpful staff. LOVE that they have someone checking at the gate to make sure people coming in are actually 'residents'.

Have stayed here 5 or 6 times and each time it seems to get better. Since my last stay in Nov 2016, they have made, and continue to make significant improvements in the property and rental spaces. The spaces are plenty big and you don't feel cramped. The campground is very clean and the staff is very visible and are always working to make the experience better. This is, by fa,r the nicest KOA I have stayed.

IF YOU DON'T HAVE KIDS DON'T STAY HERE!! The campsite is beautiful, the trailer park kids that run around with no parental guidance is out of control. My husband and I made the mistake of going to the pool, what a nightmare. Saw one girl bust her head open because she wouldn't listen to the staff when they told her not to flip into the pool multiple times. Tried to sit in the hot tub and had a group of 10 elementary school boys jump in to the 3ft deep area. There are kids running all throughout the road and when you drive up behind them they don't even budge. The staff are great and the camp grounds are nice but I will never stay here again because of the quality of people that are here, or lack there of.

Overall, it was OK. A few changes needed. I was not met by customer service, I wandered around looking for my cabin, one of the check in ladies was not the best. We were told that the summer camp activities started on mothers day and continued for the summer. Not true. There was nothing for the kids the weekend after mothers day weekend. I was told, I could by some ice cream from the store, i would have to pay anyway. That is not the point and not a good response. Really?? My grill stopped working and I called twice to have someone come fix it. They said they were on the way and NEVER showed up. I'm glad I had other food for dinner that night. Not sure if I will come back.

We had an awesome time! It is very homey and casual which is great if you are traveling with little ones who are noisy and boisterous. We stayed in a two-bedroom 'Kabin' and were luckily right next to the restrooms. The Kabins have plenty of space and an air conditioning unit so we were always quite comfortable. The restrooms were also nice. There are plenty of showers and toilets including private bathrooms which was perfect for the entire family to take care of business at the same time without worrying about bugging others. The pool was also a HUGE hit with the kiddos. It was very popular though so going in the morning before the tweens woke up made it even better. The playground was okay as well although it was quite far away from our Kabin so we only went there once. We did not try the mini golf but it seemed popular among other visitors. Finally, the little convenience store was a great addition. My son got a snorkeling set which enhanced pool time.

My wife and I spent 4 nights at this KOA and we're lucky to have gotten one of the best site's they had to offer however 80% of the other sites seemed very tight and hard to back into. We also did not have cable T.V., we complain about it and they were able to look at it twice however were not able to fix it, the couple next to us were also having the same issues. The park is located behind an industrial park which makes you feel unsafe. And Military Veterans beware they claim to offer discounts to Veterans however only to active Military members only not to disable combat Veteran which my wife and I found it to be very insulting to All that have served our country and most of all have came back with service connect disabilities. To make it worse they are located across from the VA hospital. We will never return to any KOA that treats our Veterans like that. Thank God for those who serve and have served in our Armed Force's.

Place was great, easy check in and out. Very helpful when asking for local places to eat. Cabin seemed a little small for 4 people ( didn't know where to put our bags at first), but it had a great outdoor seating area so no-one felt cramped having to sit inside all day. Pool and hot tub were also very nice. Had a great view of the water and we got to do a lot of birdwatching.
