Always a great place to bring your friends. Menu was changed and not as many choices as before. Also though our server was good, he had too many tables to wait on and it was hard to get his attention. We will still come back next year.

We have stayed at this hotel two years in a row, the first week of December. It is definitely in need of an update. The beach at the hotel is great and the staff is very friendly. A big complaint would be that Friday, Saturday, and Sunday, you can hardly find any parking because they have a lot of weddings and other events going on at the hotel. This will not be our last time to the area, but it will be the last time we stay at the Grand Plaza because when you get there, they now have a mandatory charge of $28 plus taxes per day for use of a cabana. We do not use cabanas and will no longer needlessly pay for them in the future.

Wonderful hotel! Room was large, clean and pretty! View of the ocean! Bongo's restaurant on the beach is great! Drinks are too expensive but really good. Love it!

The service has been phenomenal from beginning to end. Rooms come with a free Cabana or beach chair/umbrella rental. The gentleman at the desk who checked us in upgraded our room to an ocean view for a very small charge from the basic room my travel website auto booked with no view. Everyone was kind and friendly to our five year old daughter and made her feel important. Several dining options onsite that are all family friendly, and close proximity to everything on the street. Absolutely will be back.

I definitely recommend this hotel! We had a beautiful clean and big room with beach view. They have a beach bar outside with very good food. We had such a wonderful time!

After our original coordinator left, another coordinator Kristin contacted us stating that she would be our new coordinator. This new coordinator was rude, condescending and talked to us like we were stupid children through email and in person. She made multiple mistakes and when I brought them to her attention, she refused to apologize for them. I complained to management and Gloria, the assitant manager told me that "sometimes personalities don't mesh well" and offered to switch me to a different coordinator. As if personality has anything to do with basic professionalism when people are spending 7k on a wedding and each family member is spending $800 plus on hotel rooms. By the way, the rooms are small and awkward shaped. They come with one King and 1 double at $260+ a night.

Went to the top for a spectacular view. Revolving restaurant that is air conditioned. Tasty appetizers & good drinks. Walk down one floor to outdoor area. 2 nice bars, tables & sofas gave a romantic, upscale feel. Ground floor restaurant has tables in the sand on the beach. 2 bars, stage & dance floor with nice coastal feel. Some affairs were going on in banquet rooms that looked elegant & beach area is set up for weddings with palm lined entry. What I saw was beautiful.

When we checked in we were not informed about the resort fee by Ed (although Ed was really nice to me and my party). I’m used to being informed about any costs that can be charged wile staying in a hotel at check-in.

The stay in the hotel was fantastic, everybody was very nice and helpful. The spinners restaurant (spinning restaurant) at the top of the hotel was amazing, also the bongos bar on the beach was really nice. There was live music everyday, there was a really nice and relaxing atmosphere. The rooms were very clean and spacious and we had a fantastic view over the Gulf of Mexico. The water was completely still and it reflected the sun like a mirror, this was beautiful.

When we left the hotel i noticed that the resort fee was charged double on my credit card. When we called the hotel we spoke with Robin about our issue she solved everything for us.

I live in Tampa and have driven by this place 20 times over the past 20 years and never thought about staying there, but what a mistake. Stayed there with my wife this past weekend and we both thought it was great. The rooftop bar and spinning restaurant were a nice surprise. Parking was not a hassle. Got a room with a "partial view" and it was surprising nice for such an old hotel. We will definitely be back.

The bar by the beach look so fun. I will definitely be back to visit and get more time at the wonderful location.

Grand Plaza hotel is one of the best places i have ever stayed. Staff was amazing and the Club 11 is one of the best spots anywhere!!!!
Gloria Zak was a pleasure to work with and made the whole weekend a breeze. Clearly The grand plaza hotel is concerned with you every detail and request and the behind the scenes work is amazing how they pull it all together. It was one of the best weekends i ever had. All our guests loved the rooms (from the regular rooms to the penthouses) were stupendous. I could write a novel on what a great experience it was , but i will keep it short and sweet so you will actually read this. I would 100% recommend this location for a weekend get away or a huge wedding or a special occasion.

The Grand Plaza Hotel was a nicely decorated hotel with nice rooms, good service, and mutliple unique restaurants/bars. The hotel has an updated modern feel to it in the lobby. The rooms felt up to date with more modern minimal styling as well. Our balcony view on the side of the building still gave a nice view of the ocean. The pool wasn't big but most in area aren't. The attached beach bar/restaurant had an awesome outdoor setup with a mixture of beach and other sitting that was fun day and night. The Eleven Lounge on the top floor of building gave breathless views! The Spinner's restaurant at the top of the hotel gave fabulous views as well as the only rotating restaurant in Florida. Food in Spinner's was good but pricey to me for what you got. I'd definitely love to go back!

Overall, this was a decent hotel for a marriage ceremony. The only issues that I faced was that the bathrooms werenout of soap on both days, there was not enough privacy for the stalls and urinals, and not enough staff on duty. Other than that, it was a nice hotel for the timing of the ceremony. I would recommend it if you had to do a celebration of that sort. Location is hard to get to due to it being so far out and with traffic, you could walk to where you want rather than driving and sitting there stuck in bumper to bumper. The penthouse suite was nice but could have been modeled to be much more roomier.
