We are regular visitors at Silverton to the casino and really like it there on the whole. The game selection offers a good variety and we usually receive decent service from whatever department we have dealings with at the time. Their reward program for players has tightened up lately it seems and I miss their random free play throughout the month vs the bigger drawings or whatnot they do now. That's a matter of preference though, but did cost them one star in my opinion.
My son loved the mermaid show and the big aquarium. We enjoyed the buffet, lots of good food, fresh and a very reasonable price. Overall, totally worth the lyft out there from our hotel on the strip. We might even consider staying there next time. They offer a shuttle I heard. Fun experience :)
Just came here for a quick lunch at the buffet and was pleasantly surprised that after the remodel their food it actually gotten a whole lot better. It is amazing to me that they are the only place in all of Las Vegas that while catering to the Asians, they actually use real Chinese broccoli in their beef and broccoli. Whereas, no other buffet in town does! I'm giving it four stars because the food quality was almost perfect but the service wasn't worth the couple dollars I left on the table!
My friend and I like to have lunch at the buffet. It's inexpensive and the food is good. The service has always been prompt and courteous, not only in the dining area but the entire casino. When our families join us, my boys love to go and. see the mermaid and our husbands always make a stop at Bass Pro Shops.
I haven't stayed at the Silverton, but I've been there multiple times for the restaurant, to view the fish tanks with my family and to visit the Bass Pro Shop. We always enjoyed our experience there. We've never had an issue finding parking, the food is always been great and the staff has always been friendly and accommodating. The only reason we haven't stayed here is because we used to have family who lived in Las Vegas, though if I needed to stay I would check this place out. It's located right off the freeway in Blue Diamond Highway (I-15 & 160), which is my preference since I can't stand the strip at all. Overall it has a nice feel to it, and they do a great job keeping the cigarette smoke contained to the casino floor only.
I love Silverton. The smell when you first walk in to the warm homey feeling you get. The gift shop has everything you need and has nice gifts to bring back home. The big aquarium is always fun to watch the fish. Twice daily they have stingray feedings by the live mermaids! The mermaid bar right next to it has a jelly fish aquarium. I like the Shady Grove bar located in the back. You'll see an old airstream camper set up. They made that into a mini bowling alley!! I think it's $3 per game. (Make sure you have singles). They also have a pool table!
The restaurants here are good:
1. The Sunrise cafe open 24hrs I give 5☆
2. The buffet I generously give it 2☆
3. Johnny Rockets burgers I give 4☆
4. The Mexican restaurant I give 5☆
5. Twin Creeks steak I give 4.5☆
I love Silverton. It's one of my top 5 favorite casinos but I'm not crazy about their hotel rooms. I'm sure by now they are due for a remodel. If you've ever stayed in a motel 6 I would say that's pretty comparable.
This is a nice casino to visit away from the strip. It is connected to a large Bass Pro shop too. There is an awesome customized Bass Pro motorcycle on display outside the store too, There is a Starbucks inside but they missed the bar on my Chai latte. Parking is free and they have a fun, short but free attraction kids would like. They do a few daily feedings of the stingrays you can watch and they also have a "mermaid" swim in the tank and interact with the sea creatures and viewers.
They have good restaurants, decent buffet at reasonable prices. Cozy compared to the big casinos. Stayed here once or twice, but I go here at almost every visit we make to Vegas. Rooms are decent, prices are low compared to the big casinos. Not a luxurious place, but nice accommodations.
We found ourselves in Las Vegas during my son's 7th birthday. We found out that they had a big aquarium there with a mermaid show & stingray feedings that he would like & he was absolutely captivated. Every other casino watched my kids like a hawk if they would get "to close to the gambling floor." The Silverton was very kid friendly. We stayed for the buffet as well & had a very pleasant dinner. We didn't stay there as we already had other accommodations.
We went to a bar way in the back, I'm not sure exactly what the bar was called, but it's by the back where the bowling thing and pool tables are. Anyway, it's a great little bar to chill at. Bartender was quick and friendly, the machines were playful, we got to run on $20 each for a long time playing Keno. We walked around after a few drinks and had fun with a few new games we've never seen before also. This casino is fun!
Had a ball in the Casino, apparently the locals see the loosest slot action here and recommend visitors to stop in. Did become a believer as I was $452.57 up the first time I visited, newest fancy machines and tables that did not look used. Dealers were sporty and kept you playing, the buffet servers were very friendly and our waitress brought me a 'Boozy Ginger Ale' which I could not figure out the ingredients, but it worked for lunch. The sports booking bar looked like they had all the action, this is a 8.5 casino experience rating.
I love going to the Silverton have the mermaid Aquarium atmosphere is great hotel is great even though I didn't stay there last night it's still a great place to gamble have dinner have a snack. It's all strip so it's convenient for us. Mermaid aquarium is awesome. Have a few great bars and a buffet.
Love this property. It has mermaids live, Bass pro shop which is amazing during Christmas. It also has Starbucks. It's off strip but not too far off. They also just built a new tower. I haven't had a chance to stay there so I can't speak to the rooms or hotel staff. But gaming staff and club staff are great.
I love the Silverton Casino and resort. While not staying as an overnight guest this trip we still made it in to play and dine. Plenty of parking available, an excellent mix of slot machines. The location is well maintained. The cocktail waitress could come around more, but that is just for my liking. Joining the players club will gain you offers for free play and dining credits and I would recommend joining. While it allows smoking the ventilation is excellent and is not as smokey smelling as it could be. Plenty of staff visible. The casino also boasts a very large aquarium which is nice to break up the monotony of gambling.
We stayed here for an event with our car group and we really enjoyed it. We got a special rate for the room, so I don't know if the normal rates are reasonable. The room we got is nice, but a mini fridge would have been more convenient. The dining options are plentiful and the food we tried was very good. Overall it was a very pleasant experience.
