Off the beaten path that is called the strip but not far away.
The food is really good.
The prime rib was big and juicy and cooked perfectly.
The wait staff is the best. Make sure you play because the comps are AMAZING!!
The gambling is cute . I️ won more money than I lost and the eating totally made up for my sadness lol
Food and service are great. The locals know how to order off the menu. This is the place to go for low prices and a low-key atmosphere off the Strip. Try the locally brewed root beer and beer. Ask for the $5 steak.
I want to give this place a one star rating so people wont discover what an awesome place it is! Where do I start? Service from the hostess to the wait staff was top notch! The hostess went out of her way to find us a booth and away from the gaming area and I didn’t even ask. We ordered the fish n chips and the prime rib dinner. Prime rib dinner came with a broccoli cheese soup - it was amazing! The soup’s flavor was eye opening! The fish n chips came with three huge pieces of perfectly fired cod. The meat was flaky yet firm, the batter crispy with every bite. The prime rib costs $16.99 so we didn’t expect much. It was almost 2” thick and cooked to a perfect medium and juicy throughout. Mashed potatoes were tasty straight up and the gravy just made it that much more decadent. But nothing can ever be perfect so out only criticism is the strong beans have previously been frozen and not fresh. Otherwise it was the perfect meal and at a ridiculously low price.
Just came a couple times to eat in their restaurant. It's kind of freaking amazing! Definitely worth it! And one morning we had to wait and they had someone making bloody Marys for us. Delicious food and superb service! Definitely worth it!
Perfect place to eat in Vegas! Just a short walk from the strip, we found this restaurant and came back several times! The prices are great and the food is, too! They have a nice little casino with low-limit table games and fun slot machines!
The food is great for the price. Its the best 6.99 steak I have ever had. The chicken and waffles is delicious. Its get very busy on weekends so there often can be a wait. Walking distance from a lot of the hotels.
Great food! Reasonably priced. I rated 4 stars for 2 reasons. A little inconsistent as far as the staff being on the same page for guest discounts, and kind of long waits for tables. All the staff was great, and you dont have to wait for crappy food so i would definitely recommend this as long as you're not in a hurry. Their beers are good too!
Went to Ellis Island specifically for the steak. We were not disappointed. My wife had prime rib and I had New York and shrimp. Both were cooked to satisfaction. The prices are very reasonable. Great service.
The food was Great! The staff was very friendly. and their house made brews were really good. They have a special that if you have their rewards card you can get a 10oz steak dinner for $7.99!!! It is off the strip but not really all that far. I will be going back when I visit again.
Awesome steak dinner, get a players card for cheaper price! If you have to wait, if you play $5 in a machine you will get $2 off your food! If you are a local, they will send you free play & $5 off the steak dinner, too! If you are over 50, on Tues. & Sat., you can get a free slice of METRO pizza, a free drink & snacks! LOVE THIS PLACE! The Rib dinner is amazing, also! My dad brought us here in 1998 on a vacation & we ended up moving here & love coming here every week (sometime 2 or 3 X a week!)
You guys are awesome as usual. Great food and prices! My friends from the UK loved the chicken and waffles and steak and eggs. Our waitress(Cindy) was on the ball! She did an awesome job and always checked on us.
This is definitely an older area of Las Vegas which makes for a good time. The beer selection was average for the area. Local breweries are growing all over Las Vegas, and I did not rank Ellis Island as one of the top ones. The food wasn't bad, and the service was decent. I would make it a point to stop in and get a flight if you're in Vegas for beer sampling purposes.
I love this place. Their food is consistently greatespecially their fish and chips and Southern chicken. They have a micro-brewery there and also serve their homemade root beer. The waitress will give you a match play certificate and you can play craps, roulette, etc, If you win a $5 bet, they will double it and give you $10.00 back! Locals like their daily meal specials. They also serve a steak with potatoes and fresh green beans for $8.99.
We were told that they were on a wait. In those 15 minutes, I won $21 which covered my meal. I had chicken fried chicken which was perfectly cooked. Everyone else at the table had the prime rib. Every plate was cleaned. The prices are reasonable, especially when compared to the Strip restaurants.
Ellis Island reminds me of the way the Strip casinos used to be. The gaming subsidizes everything else.
Must visit. When in Vegas and staying at a resort near the four corners we always walk down here. Service once seated is great, but the hostess process could be quicker. It is always slow. This place feels like a down to earth local LV joint. Great food, price, and proximity to the strip is why we always come back at least once or twice during our stay. Spending $70 on a breakfast buffet at a resort hotel is madness. Take a 15 minute walk and work up an appetite and spend $20 and feel great. Nice spot off the strip. Will always return.
