Ordered the Mac and cheese and it comes in a very small potlrtion for the price. Added grilled chicken and had 6 small cubes of re-heated (distinctive flavor) and tough chicken. My wife and I will not be returning. Service itself was fine.
We had a great appetizer. The entrees were just ok. Also, the bathroom was run down. The paper towel holder was broken and just hanging out on the counter. The kitchen is open for guests to see but not meant to be an open kitchen. It's doesn't appear clean or orderly for a kitchen exposed to guests. We were on vacation and the reviews were great so we decided to try. Not horrible but not great
I really enjoy the time I spend there. I like the IPA, the staff is very good and the food that I tried was very good. One tip for their future customers. You may have to wait for table but get a cold beer from the bar and you can seat outside until your table is ready.
Shoreline is one of my "Go To" beer, and food, places. They have fantastic brews that are great for relaxing or enjoying with a meal. I try to get in there anytime they have a new release. I've enjoyed their burgers many times along with some of their sandwiches. The Lamb burger is awesome and don't forget to go with the pub chips.
**Update**
It's been sometime since my first review. I had lunch at Shoreline this past week (Aug 2017) and felt a quick update was necessary. I still enjoy going to the brewery for lunches and quick meetings and will eat here at least once a month. The burgers are really great nearly every time and I can't recall the last time I wasn't satisfied. However, the beer is fair. It's possible I've outgrown their beers and I'm just not respecting them enough but it just doesn't hit the spot like they used to. That said, they have actually improved. There was a period a couple years back when the beers were giving some odd flavors primarily noted was a copper or metallic tatse. Since the new head brewer has taken over that issue has been resolved.
I still think eating, and drinking their beers, is well worth my time and money and would continue to recommend visiting.
Took my craft beer loving son from Alaska to this brewery for dinner. Ordered the sampler and was impressed with the variety of beers. Our food came in a timely manner and was delicious! Portion size - very generous. Our server, Drew, was professional and courteous. I would highly recommend this establishment to anyone looking for a great craft brewery experience.
I will say that our waitress was very polite and nice. We were seated very quickly and my kids loved the root beer. I highly suggest Gale's root beer. If you have kids they will love being able to draw and write on the table. That is where the positives end.
The family dinning area was a room that was terrible hot and poorly ventilated. It took a long time to get our drinks and my wife's flight she ordered didn't arrive until after we started eating and we ordered first. When I thought our food was to come out we were told that the kids chicken fingers were out and had to change the order. The food was ok when we finally got it but it was not worth the price we paid. We had to ask for silverware and it just seemed that we were a bother in our cave they seated us in
The beer was not good this time, I did buy a pint to go that I will try later but my oatmeal stout was kind of flat. Not the worst craft brew I had but definitely down at the bottom of my list. My wife didn't finish her flight, which says a lot to me about the quality that day.
Some of the best food and atmosphere in Northwest Indiana. The food prices are slightly higher than most bars, but the quality is far superior, and more than worth what you pay for. Portions are enormous as well. The Appetizers are nearly all large enough for a meal. The beer is made on site, and is some of the best in the area, with many awards. Flights are available, samples are plentiful, and there are domestic options. Mixed drinks are available, and some of the best around. There is outside seating, family seating indoors, and meeting space available. There really is not a better place to drink beer and eat good food near Lake Michigan.
Really laid back, upbeat, busy, brewery. I don't drink alcohol so I had a craft root beer named Gales Root Beer, named after one of there chef's who was the founder of this recipe. I don't eat meat so I just ordered some of there home made fries and they were awesome. Really nice waiter which made our visit a great memory.
5 stars all day. If I could give it 6 I would. The flight of brews is a must for first timers. Wife got the chicken jerk and loved it. I got the pork chop and felt the same. KEEP UP THE GREAT WORK!
Our favorite brewery in Northern Indiana!!! Awesome atmosphere! Service has been off at times, but seems to have improved. Haven't had any bad food or bad beer here. It is near the Lighthouse Outlet Mall and definitely worth stopping.
I had seen this place on Yelps top list of places to go in the East Village. They have a happy hour deal; for $12 you get a craft beer and 11 oysters. You get to choose from 3 types as well. The place is small and cozy, has the perfect ambiance of casual yet upscale, and the service is excellent. The staff seemed super attentive and gave good recommendations.
I got the Sea Salt Fire Island Ale- deliciously balanced with a touch of salt and grapefruit flavoring. For entrees my friend got the scallops and risotto, and I opted for the squid salad. For an appetizer plate it is very generous- comes on a bed of kale and a drizzle of bbq and honey. Delicious. This is a great place for dinner with friends, seafood, beer and oysters! I will definitely come back to try other dishes and see different seafood specials!!
Most noticeable about this restaurant is how clean it is; clean floors, clean windows, clean tables, the place even smells clean. In addition to smelling clean it also smells malty, because it's a microbrewery And a pretty good one. They also had the cleanest restroom I've ever seen in a microbrewery-grill No papers on the floor, no graffiti, no mess. I'd come back for that reason alone. The service was great. Kudos to Jen who was friendly, attentive, and helpful with both the beer and the food menu. The food was OK. I guess if I'm gonna order artichoke dish I just want to enjoy the artichokes. I was not a fan of the deep fried artichoke dish just because the deep fry overwhelmed the delicate flavor of the artichokes that needs to be gently respected in a dish. The pork ribs looked dry at first, because I'm used to BBQ ribs being smothered in BBQ sauce. But in fact, they were sufficiently tender and tasty. The fries that came with the ribs were not hot, actually cold, and a bit dry and chewy disappointing. Homemade chips would have been a better option. My friend really enjoyed the Grecian Chicken but they allowed him to substitute shrimp for chicken, which really made for a nice dish. We'll be back until we've tried it all.
