I did not stay at the casino hotel so I cannot speak to the conditions of the rooms but the Casino gaming floor was clean and a very fun environment. I went on a Saturday, they had a live band playing in the corner of the gaming floor at one of the bars. Excellent band! Overall great experience and will be going again.
I love the Blue Chip. The rooms are always clean. The staff everywhere is always so friendly. That's why I always go back. The food at all the restaurants is tasty. I just wish they didn't charge for late checkout. I win most times not big but, whatever I win I'm happy to receive. They have a bus shuttle that pick me up and drop me off at the train station. They also have an indoor pool and whirlpool. I forgot my swimsuit for this trip. They also have a spa that's to die for. There's so much to do here. Go see for yourself. You won't be sorry.
Our stay at Blue Chip was awesome. We had a clean room, gaming was great as always, and we also really enjoyed the pool it was nice that there was a few hours without kids being there. The pool was nice, the Spas were nice, the pool could have been a little bit cooler, it was a little bit warmer than bath water but not as warm as the spas. Overall our experience staying at the Blue Chip Hotel in the Blue Chip Tower was very nice. The staff was friendly and helpful and we are really look forward to staying there again
Have visited this casino a few times. Cannot speak of the rooms, restaurants, or clubs as I have not visited those. As a casino, it is pretty nice. All of the employees have always been very nice and ready to help with whatever you need. The selection of video gaming is broad. Seems to have a good focus on hot new slot choices. From my experience, they seem a bit tighter. But that's from a limited amount of visits. Free fountain beverages, coffee, etc. via the self serve kiosks scattered throughout. The comps I've received are on par with most other casino properties I've visited. Overall, it's a much better option than some of the other properties I've been to in the area.
The room was very well adorned, we had an open bar for our event and the mixed drinks we're not watered down, the wine was very good, as was the food. The wait staff did a fantastic job of keeping the event moving and timing the different courses perfectly. Anyone that had any questions or need help with anything was taking care of promptly and courteously. My date and myself are both smokers and had help from one of the wait staff what's a napkin to keep the door open so we can get back in and not have to walk to the front of the casino. It was a very thoughtful gesture and the person that helped us was not only vested but thoroughly engaged in the only making sure that we were comfortable. Very enjoyable experience.
Only spent time at the casino. Friendly patrons. Wished facility was non-smoking. Nice selection of slots. Did not play tables. Restroom as you come in very clean although out of paper towels at the time. Deli workers unorganized with the exception of who appeared to be the manager. Most tables had dirty trays or remnants of past diners' meals left on their surfaces. Good experience at the casino though. Was able to play for quite some time.
Blue Chip was great. Our room was very clean and the location is really convenient. We enjoyed the casino, and were able to take advantage of the buffet for breakfast. The food was great, we can't wait to go back. (We'll try to stay in the new tower next time, it looks even better)
All you can eat crab legs and prime rib dinner. What's not to love? Easy access to parking garage, quick entry to restaurant area. Staff was friendly, food was fresh and table service was good as well.
Blue Chip is showing it's age. Had to call down and ask for shampoo and soap. Also asked for a lot of extra sugar. When she came to my room she brought the shampoo, soap, and 2 packets of sugar. Quickly I realized she only brought me 2 sugars so I caught her in the hall and said I need more sugar please. It seemed like she copped an attitude but I wasn't sure until she returned with 10-12 packets of sugar (which was enough). I said thank you and she said "that's all the sugar I can bring u tonight and walked away. Is it me or is that unbelievable? I didn't catch her name but she appeared to be an African American woman pushing 50 years old. Next time I'll stop at McDonald's and bring some sugar since I'm putting such a strain on Blue Chip's pocketbook! Smh!
My family went to the buffet on Saturday for the Prime Rib and Crab Legs. Everything was clean and the food was kept fairly fresh. It was expensive, coming in at $31.99 a person and for a special occasion I'd say it was worth it. The waitress was excellent and extremely polite and attentive. We enjoyed ourselves.
Nice casino that wasn't too small nor too large. Our room was very clean and comfortable and spacious enough for four adult women to move around in comfortably. The staff was kind and courteous throughout the casino except for one visit to there first floor deli, there was one young lady working the second or third shift who was ridiculously unprofessional, outright rude to the lady in front of me as well as myself, obviously lazy beyond belief because she made it apparent she was not going to attempt to be helpful in any way shape or form. She spoke with almost no words, just the occasional grunt or head nod but when she did decide to be creative and speak she only stuck to uh-uhhs and nope. I would never visit this deli again if she was the one who was working which is a shame because the deli itself had really good desserts as well as a variety of other choices that appeared to look really good. Other than that small annoyance our visit overnight to the Blue Chip Casino and hotel was really nice and I would definitely go back anytime.
Everything was great except the buffet. The buffet was over priced and the food wasn't that good at all. The dealers at the tables were friendly and funny. They even wanted you to win and we're bummed if you lost big. Room was clean and tidy. Drinks weren't that expensive either. I highly recommend staying there!
My husband and I love the Blue Chip and have been there many times it is our favorite casino, from the employees to the rooms always a great experience, my husband loves the showers. I would love to give 5 stars because I love it so much but we were here this past weekend for my husbands birthday and our experience at Nelsons Deli was the worst ever, one star for them. We placed an order for a grilled ham and cheese, and a polish, 2 pieces of chocolate cake and ice cream at 12:40 AM and received our order at 1:20 AM, 40 minutes for a grilled ham and cheese and a polish? Also the cake that I ordered when we came into the deli was given to someone else, so by the time the order was ready my birthday cake that i wanted for my husband and I was gone. The ice cream was barely one scoop, which i ordered 2 scoops to split between us and at $4.50 for two scoops which I did not get was ridiculous. We have had it many times before and the cups are always super full. I do not know what the problem was this night because everyone was waiting a long time. My husband said they are quick to take your money which I spent about $33.00 and super slow to deliver food. While waiting I saw two gentlemen employees in suits walk into the kitchen of Nelsons and walk right back out. My husband and I always spend money at the casino gaming, spend money on our rooms and try to upgrade as best as we can and not take the free room that is offered to us. For his birthday dinner we spent $200 for dinner in William Bs earlier in the evening. As I said we love it there, but because of our bad experience in Nelsons on this particular trip, we are considering giving Four Winds Casino a try next time.
What a great hotel! Me and my friend stayed here while passing through Chicago and it was perfect from start to finish. We were lucky to get a room in the packed casino Hotel but it was reasonably priced for 2 queen beds. Hotel staff was helpful in getting us to our room. The room was out of this world beautiful and clean; Obviously well maintained. The casino was great! We had lots of fun playing the slots and the staff was both friendly and helpful. The diner downstairs was good! My friend had nachos that did leave something to be desired but the turtle cheesecake we had was incredible. The following morning when we were leaving we both had the chicken and Swiss sandwich which did take a long time to come out, but totally worth the wait. If you're looking for a reasonably priced hotel and a good time Blue Chip is the place to go!! Furthermore, I contacted the hotel a couple days later in order to discuss a rather significant discrepancy in charges on my credit card. The lovely woman I spoke to was more than helpful to inform me of what the charges were and to also contact my bank directly to ensure I was only charged for the one night stay.
