Overall yummy burgers and fries. Definitely above average, but with above average comes a bit of a price. It's not surprising, especially since it's New York, but I expected to pay less for fast food. Would still recommend if you're not from New York.

The number 1 burger place in NYC! (At least for my opinion) service is always great and friendly. Food is always hot and delicious. And they have so many choices on shakes! Love it

Amazing burgers and shakes, this place lives up to it's hype. Clean and comfortable first floor, more seating in the basement, and friendly staff. Highly recommend making a stop there when you can. It can get very busy, though, so plan to wait in line for a bit. Definitely worth the wait.

We came here after a long day, eager to eat, and we were very happy with the food. The burgers were delicious and juicy and the bread was soft. We also ordered bacon cheese fries which were scrumptious. The vanilla shake was pretty delicious & creamy.

One thing we noticed was that there wasn't much seating. There is a lower level seating area which was full, and there weren't many tables on the ground floor. Had to wait for a few minutes as we ordered in. I would recommend getting a takeaway and sitting on a bench across the road.

Always a go-to. Fresh, tasty ingredients make for one of the tastiest, simplest burgers. Add a side of crinkle fries & a shake: perfect classic meal! Speedy service as well as nice, friendly staff. Highly recommend!

I've certainly had my fair share of Shake Shacks in the city and this is more of a review on this particular location, rather than the food as the food is always delicious. The space on the ground floor where you order and sit is too narrow and not conducive to really staying there long. There is a lower level where it looks like you can book a private event but it was not available for additional seating. I would say that this location is more of a to-go spot as seats are very limited but a good place to grab a quick bite if you're in the area.

Same awesome menu as their other locations. Although this places seemed particularly crowded just times I visited.

I tried the burger with the deep fried mushroom for the first time and total fell in love! It was absolutely stuffed with cheese that was perfectly melted. The panko breading was crispy - a great balance to the gooey inside. I think that next time I would add bacon, simply because I can.

There's a restroom and additional seating downstairs. But because there are only two single restrooms, I line is likely to form and run up the skinny set of stairs.

Don't forget to check out their special concrete or milkshake because different locations offer different flavors. When I visited, only this location was offering a concrete in honor of the current Shakespeare in the Park Play that was only available for that month. So fun!

I would also recommend the Bacon Cheese Fries!

I'm sure at this point everybody knows what the food is like at Shake Shack. I liked this particular location for a few reasons. The first thing is how great the staff were. All of the staff has a smile and genuinely seemed to be happy to help. If you look lost for even a second they all of they can help you and start to suggest where seats are free/directions to bathroom etc. Above and beyond.

This location is also very convenient to the natural history museum and Central Park. The seating on ground floor is really great. There aren't a huge number of seats in the ground floor, but the ones that they do have are against a long window which runs the length of the frontage of the restaurant. I sat at one of these tables and it was a very pleasant place to eat while looking outside. There are additional tables downstairs in the basement level, as well as bathrooms down there. I didn't go down there so can't comment on that.

Ordered and paid for a double burger. Was served a single. I would have requested that they set my order straight but service was incredibly slow. I was with a group of people, some of whom were leaving straight from shake shack to the airport. I couldn't wait 30 more minutes while they fixed my order. Besides that issue, there was insufficient seating.

Great burgers. Just don't go during lunchtimebecause everyone and their mother will be there. The location is also pretty close to The Museum of Natural History, so that's a plus!

Despite the place being packed to the brim, the line moves fast and you get your food without too much of a wait. The shack burger is worth the hype, it's a phenomenal fast food burger. The meat kind of resembles Philly cheesesteak, lightly kept together, and cooked to a perfect medium with a little pink.

I heard this was a good place. The shake was pretty good, but overpriced. The $10 burger was badly undercooked, and when I went back up to where I got my order (with my half-eaten burger) the servers ignored me for over 5 minutes. Finally I went back through the line, and the main cashier (to her credit) was appalled, got me a refund for the burger, and offered me another one for free. I declined, too disgusted and annoyed to stay there any longer. The cook might be fired by the time you read this, but just to be safe, don't go on Monday evening.

Eating there was nice in that it was another NYC experience, but management should really organize the lines a bit better. So many tourists over the holiday season. Folks didn't know where to stand after ordering or when picking up their food. Was a challenge to carry a tray of drinks through that.

The burger and fries were decent - no disappointment there.
