The hotel is beautiful and very well kept. The rooms are immaculate. Bed very comfortable. The front desk and staff very attentive. The concierge floor was great with 24 hour coffee, snacks and drinks.

Overall my experience was good. I had no issues other than a missing bed in my room. Thankfully it was rectified when I brought it up. The room was clean and orderly when I was checked in. The food was very good and satisfied me. I have no real major complaints about my experience

Derrick was helpful and went above and beyond during our stay. If you go to the renaissance ask for derrick. He will take good care of you. My room was clean and smells great. I will recommend this place to friends and family.

Really enjoyed this hotel. The rate was reasonable as well. I would most definitely come back here. The staff was amazing. They put me in the Executive Level Rooms, which has their own club lounge room. I loved it. :)

Beautiful hotel and great service! The rooms are nice and the lobby is open and inviting. They have a great bar area and a restaurant with good food. I am just as impressed now as I was 7 years ago when I first stayed here. Would definitely recommend!

As a birthday treat, my companion decided to treat me to a dinner cruise leaving out from Perth Amboy. Since it was going to get out rather late, I thought it would be a good idea to stay the night at a nearby hotel. After looking at other places and reading the reviews, I decided on this hotel. I had never been here before. The guy who tended to me (Derrick) was very friendly and accommodating. I really liked the blend of modern and Renaissance as it pertained to the design. The bed was very comfortable and I wish I could have taken that shower head home with me! If I had more time, I would have loved to have spent time at the pool and checked out the fitness center. I was a big fan of the buffet on Sunday just before my companion and I checked out. This place made quite an impression and I would like to go there again.

Very clean rooms. Very accommodating to requests. Had a Special Needs daughter with temperature issues. I asked for an extra blanket and they bought me a heated blanket. So very grateful for it.
Ryan at front desk was very professional, kind, friendly and made our stay very enjoyable.
    Wonderful breakfast.

Needed to find a decent hotel to stay one night in central NJ on Saturday 8/19/17. Came across this location which was great as it was 15-20 min away from two family events. Hotel was easy to get to from DC (driving) and sufficient free parking. Check in was quick. Our room was located on the first floor right next to the swimming pool area. You could hear noise from the pool area but that was ok as we would be using the room late and leaving early (we checked in at 4pm to get our key and turned around and left right away to the family event - returning about 11pm). Room (King size bed) was clean and decent. Bathroom was clean. As a Marriott Rewards member, we received passes for the free breakfast buffet. Took a little longer than desired to be seated but breakfast was good. Check out was easy. What I would like to really thank the staff for concerns my camera bag I left in the room. Didn't realize I left it till maybe 3 hrs after we checked out. Luckily, we were still in NJ. Drove back and explained to the front desk I think I left my baglo and behold, they had it behind the counter! All I kept thinking driving back to the hotel was replacing the $3K worth of equipment in the bag. Yes, totally my fault, but THANK YOU for the honesty of the Renaissance staff!!! I would gladly stay again, just would ask for a room not facing the swimming pool when being used.

I attended a corporate event at the Renaissance Woodbridge Hotel so I can't sau anything about the rooms, what I can say is that their dining hall is large and well maintained, their staff is polite and professional, and the food was a little above average. Skip the bar, it's overpriced. The ballrom (for lack of a better term) was spacious and allowed for large screen projection. The audio was solid, though that might not be their equipment. It seemed perfectly functional for corporate events. The only thing that didn't impress was food selection at the buffet and placement of sodas outside the dining hall (clearly to cut down on consumption).

My stay at the Renaissance Woodbridge Hotel of was absolutely terrible to say the least. First when we go to the hotel, we found that we would have to be staying in rooms with one king bed and one sofa bed even though we paid for rooms with two queens beds, so immediately we were inconvenienced. Then, it was four of us and the supply of towels were VERY low. The maid, removes any towels she sees in the room any time she comes in, but, she fails to replace them. Many times we came out of the shower and were left with no towels and had to call the front desk for replacements. In addition to that the drawers are broken, after packing all of my clothes in the bottom drawer I realized it was stuck, I had to remove the top drawer to retrieve my clothing. The temperature in the rooms are terrible, there's a huge AC there that does not turn off. THREE out of four people in the room became ILL. In addition, the maid mistakes the word cleaning up for throwing things out. I had TWO drinks on my dresser that I bought outside because the indoor hotel pricing is out of this world, I come home to find BOTH of my drinks gone. The drinks were closed and untouched, why would she think to throw them out ? They don't even check what they're doing they just throw our guests belongings. The sofa bed sheet she "replaced" was left without a sheet. We had to call the desk for a replacement at 3 am when we found out there was no sheet to sleep on. They took an hour and a half to bring the sheet so my roommate could not go to sleep. I also complained about my missing drinks and there was no attempt made to recover or resolve them. I just find this completely unacceptable as it is my assumption that outstanding service is the number one priority in hospitality, but I see that is CLEARLY not the case with this hotel.

Great prices, very good house, and food service. Employees were very friendly and easy to communicate with, while others were more serious, maintaining adequate attentive, professional attitudes. Our rooms were very clean, and very well maintained. The hotel needed new carpeting, other than that, our visit has been a very good experience. We went to a very enjoyable well attended fresh breakfast foods, cafeteria style buffet. This topper has sent the seven us on our way contented & pleased. It is recommended and was well worth the promotion price.

I should have known right from the start that this was not going to be a good experience. During the reservation process I had to yell for the woman taking my information to hear me and she also had to yell because of all the background noises and laughter of her coworkers.

The lobby was nice but my room was horrific. For a $300 one night stay I received the following:

    • Cob webs hanging from the ceiling.
    • A slow draining tub with 3" of water around my ankles during my shower.
    • Sand paper quality towels and wash cloths
    • Large unidentifiable stains on the furniture.
    • A front door with a gap wide enoughto see into the room from the hallway with the door locked.
    • Cheap motel quality mattress that feels like the floor with springs.

Stay away from this place. Its definitely not worth it.

This was a total strike out. Plugs were super loose, so you had to fight with them to charge your stuff. Woke up to a 50% charge because of it. No free water offered, had to ask. Bathtub filled up ankle deep in the shower. I will not return. Bartender was entertaining and the live music was good otherwise.
