Not a fan. I have deadly food allergies and I asked the girl ingredients in several different things, she didn't want to bring us the ingredients, she just said oh I don't think it has it in it. let me tell you that won't due! I won't be back ! I would not recommend anyone in going there!

Shades is always amazing. I visit with family, with business lunches, friends, or just because. Í've never had a single person complain about the food since I've been bringing others here. Service can be spotty at times but they are almost always slammed when I am there. Everyone have always been very friendly, courteous, and kind. Great, now I want shades for dinner, hah!

It was a chilly, rainy day so I had a cup of chili and a grilled cheese. The food was hot and good. Nice comfort food! The service was quick and friendly.

had a great experience at Shade last night. I went with my husband and it was my first time ever there. We sat at the bar and the entire staff was wonderful. The manager even took time to speak to us and she was just amazing with her staff. It was comfortable and just a great time. Thank you to the manager and staff for making my first experience there incredible. We will go back again.

Good pub food and good beer selection. Service is always great. I'll take the family out to dinner, or sometimes have lunch meetings with staff or reps here. All around good place to hang out.

Great food but tried to use a local fundraiser card for a food discount and the manager would not honor it. Surprised that they would agree with Newark High to help raise money by partaking in these cards then put the customer in an awkward position. Service was still good as this no fault on the servers behalf. Get it together Shade. There are many other options in Newark to eat at with similar food Not the greatest experience for me.

Terrible staff. One member was flipping off men at the bar. The food was average. Wings had no sauce and very little flavor. What little flavor it did have was from the grease and oil it was covered it. I'm only giving it 2 stars because my waitress was kind and the cheese fries were decent.

We picked Shade, because we had a coupon and it's near our tax preparer's office. The service was pretty good and the food was good, so we'll be back. I had the spicy chicken sandwich and my husband had the jerk chicken sliders.

On the surface Shades feels like a Rooster's knock-off. The food is pretty decent and their beer selection seems better. Their menu has the standard bar fare of pizza, wings, and burgers but seems to go deeper with the salads and appetizers. Service was decent and it's a nice atmosphere. Price is on par with most other restaurants.
