Here's the best way to describe this place.

If you are the type of person who spends no time in the room except to sleep, this hotel is for you.

If you are the type of person that likes to hang out in the room a lot, this hotel is not for you.

The staff has always been friendly and accommodating.

You get what you pay for. But it was decent. Nice view of the beach. None of the ice machines worked. Staff was really nice. Needs to be upgraded.

The hotel is old and you have to watch for hidden fee's that aren't in the original total price when booking. The staff were friendly and the free breakfast at the office rocked. The ac worked better then mine at home. With that being said, they could stand to update. Ice machine didn't work well enough to ever get ice. The doors are heavy and hard to open and unlock. I went through 6 keys because my original stopped working. (did not keep it near my phone) The tub constantly leaked which is fairly annoying. Over all we had a great time but I doubt we stay there again.

Well I am currently staying here as of 8/2/17 on the day this review is written. I understand that this is not "high end" place, but one would expect hot water in the shower. I mentioned it to the front desk they said they sent somebody to look at it and said "it's the time we are trying to use it". They offered maintenance to come explain it to me. I don't feel I need a lesson on how hot water works. I was basically told that was as good as it gets. The rail on the balcony is being tied together with a piece of string. Only one of the two ice machines is working, with that being said to get ice you have to get it early in the morning so you can actually get ice. The overall of the place needs some work. The doors won't close unless you slam them. Luggage carts are no where to be found. A few positives I guess are the pool is pretty clean and the continental breakfast is pretty good. I guess this is just a prime example of you get what you pay for so I don't have anybody to blame but myself. I won't be bringing my family to stay here again.

The hotel has great potential if upgraded & sprayed for bugs. Our first night the door wouldn't lock. Entire door needed replaced. They offered us a new room. When we got there our shower wouldn't work, however maintenance was there to fix within 10 minutes. We saw a roach. Underneath the beds was an empty beer bottle and very dirty. Walls were thin, heard our neighbors that were very loud & banging much of the night on something. The pool needed re-painted due to rusty areas. On the bright side it was a great location, breath taking views, tasty restaurant next door that kids eat free, also able to dine outside & maintenance was very friendly & helpful. I will not be staying here again unless updates are made & cleaning improves. Sad to see a hotel with great potential be let go like it was.

Memorial Day Weekend stay. Average for this price range. Room was well supplied with no bad concerns. Ice machines were out due to large guest coolers being filled daily. There was only one elevator, so we took the stairs a lot. Staff were friendly and helpful. We had a great time. Parked most of the time across the street which was not too bad because they own a big lot for parking. Beach access was great. Extra comforters/blankets would have been a nice addition. It's all you need to get you feet into the sand!

Quaint hotel, needs some updating. Door to bathroom wouldn't shut all the way. Water was leaking in hallway near ice machine on the floor and from floor above. Loved walking out the 'back door' right to the beach. Close to good restaurants. Friendly staff.

Vacation in Panama City Beach, yay! Grandma, Papa, myself, my wife, our daughter and my sister get to the hotel around 2, we're assigned two rooms that were not adjacent. OK, no big deal. The rooms smelled musty; not just dank, but "Our spores are growing in your lungs" bad. First room had a toilet overflow and a phone that couldn't dial out; second room had no functioning door locks on either door, as in they would not latch closed. OK, complain, we were moved. The new rooms were still not adjacent, but were closer. Twenty minutes of up and down the stairs finally got working keys for everyone. Elevator? Jammed. I will say that the maintenance guys were on their game, but I've never seen an elevator rebooted. In the rooms, relax. Day one. Day two, Friday. Things went well, until that night. That was when the headboard fell off the wall, narrowly missing my sister, and when we got to meet the night maintenance guy. He mentioned something that in hindsight proved relevant: that "they were really on top of any bug problems". Shortly before falling asleep, the mouse made its appearance, ducking behind the coffee machine. Day three: Saturday. We had all made plans to split up, and did so. My wife and four-year-old daughter are back from their excursion about 11am. About 1130, two young black men enter the room with a key card, without knocking, calling, or announcing or identifying themselves as hotel employees, and inform my terrified wife and squalling daughter that our room was supposed to be checked out of this morning, and that she had to pack and leave immediately. It was pure coincidence that there was anyone in the room at all for this to have happened to. After frantic phone calls we all arrived back at the hotel, to discover that the manager wasn't even on site to handle a customer complaint. My wife was rudely informed that she was two blocks down at a bar, apparently partying. After some confusion, we found her in her office further down the street, where she was also rude until she accessed Expedia and found that the reservation error was the hotel's fault, not ours. After all of this, the family decided that enough was enough, and we left a day early. This hotel was terrible; horrible service, bad engineering, mice and as we later found out, bedbugs. Between sleeping under the overpass and this hotel, I would recommend the overpass.

This place should be condemned. We stayed 2 nights. It was horrible. It rained and everything leaked, the door stuck and was nearly impossible to open. A women got stuck in the bathroom at the pools they had to call maintenance to get the door open. The concrete stairs has GIANT chunks missing to the point that the steel cables were exposed. The beds seem to be at least 30 years old, the blankets didn't even match! And when they came to "clean" housekeeping didn't even replenish towels or toiletries all they did was retuck blankets and dump the trash. This is the worst experience I've ever had.

Clean rooms. Amiable staff. Overall a good experience with the exception of some lingering obnoxious spring breakers. Looking forward to our family trip in August.
