I can't thank the doctors and nurses enough for all that they did for my boyfriend while he was admitted and after his surgery. We waited less than 5 minutes in the ER before he was taken back. EVERYONE was so amazing! Not only did they take care of him but always made sure that I was ok as well. THANK YOU SCRIPPS!!

I cannot say enough good things about the staff at this hospital. I was there for three days for kidney stone surgery and the nurses could not have been kinder or more helpful in my recovery. I have so much admiration for the job they did. I drove two hours from my home to have this surgery due to schedule conflicts near me and I really feel I got the best care possible at this hospital. Thank you so much to Jennier, Marilin, Amanda and Taylor. You are all amazing!! The doctors were great to, but obviously its the nurses that had the burden to care for me for the three days. If I ever need to go back I would not hesitate at all. I wish I could give more than 5 stars.

Don't trust anything your bill says!! Thoroughly review it before paying. I was sent a bill that showed my insurance adjustment, but they didn't subtract it from the total charges. The next month they sent me a bill and they ADDED the insurance adjustment to the total, instead of substracting. The staff in billing services are not helpful. Despite explaining my coordination of benefits between my 2 insurance plans, they have continually billed them incorrectly. I've been trying to sort out this bill for a year and a half. Very disappointing.

Went to scripps Encinitas hospital emergency room for a medical issue and got Dr. Ronald Maccormick. He only ran 1 test after we fought him to do it. He refused to run any other tests and told me to see my primary care doctor to put in for the tests because I wouldn't DIE in the next 2 days. So you must be dying for them to do anything for you. Will never go back to this emergency room as their service was horrible.

I'd advise not to go here. My experience involved sub-par care and deceptive billing. During my stay I was seen by resident students only, never an actual doctor with any sort of experience beyond medical school. The doctor never showed up in person. For this, I was charged thousands of dollars on top of my insurance for a roughly 12-hour stay that should have been half that, thanks to a discharge process that took the better part of 6 hours. Billing was "inaccurate" at best. It took me the better part of a full year to actually receive an itemized bill, despite multiple requests. In the meantime, the Scripps billing team had a fun game to play: Just pay the bill in-full NOW (without review), and we'll give you a 25% discount! Outright shady. After the eventual receipt of the itemized bill, the billing WAS inaccurate and had to be resubmitted. Over the past year, and prior to this online review, I've tried to work with numerous real people at Scripps to try settle this, but they're not willing to communicate or play ball in any meaningful way. Billing won't even return phone calls. Now that you know what to expect, drive to Sharp or Tri-City if possible.

From the RN's to the anesthesiologist, amazing providers and successful surgery. I came 2 hours early, and they got me in to a bed right away and provided fluids and comfort, until surgery, and then continued that into the OR. Everybody was so sweet and caring, I've never had such a good experience before. I will be switching my care to Scripps in Encinitas. Thank you so much for going above and beyond.

dr ok, can not compare with dr accardi. told me to give my son all 6 methyiprednisolone pills when we got home and that is not the directions on the box. dont know what harm i may have done. always read and ask pharmacyst before following dr instructions you do not know.

When I went to the emergency room in Encinitas. I experience horrible service, The first physician that I encounter was a little unsure what to do with me. He reviewed my records and it was confirm that I had an infection. So physician explain I should be admitted and administered IV antibiotic's

I then met with a hospitalist who was the nicest person that I had encountered during my visit. The hospitalist went over my medical condition. He explain to me what would be going on during my stay at the hospital. Everything was fine for me. I was informed that in the morning a new physician would meet with me.

In the morning the new physician was rude. I explained that I was in pain. She then explained that I would not wake up. I explained that is was because of the medication I was on and that it was a sedative. She told me that she discontinued my medications including the iv antibiotics. Then told me she was discharging me. she also brought up prescription medication for nothing. plus it had nothing to do with my infection that I had.

I also heard her mention that she was discharging not only me but three other patients who were in the observation unit. Maybe this had to do with a certain amount of patient she has to discharge during the month. When I contacted the charge nurse in the emergency room. she informed that the hospitalist physician that I encountered were not Scripps doctors. they were a third-party company that was staff at the hospital.

I just want to scripps to be aware of the doctors that these 3rd party companies are staffing at their facilities. This doctor is a direct refection of the Scripps physicians and the hospital system. However i must say that the physicians that are hired with scripps are the opposite of this female physician i encountered.

I went to the ER for a bee sting gone painfully wrong, and they were SO nice! From the moment I walked in the door to my exit - full professionalism, communication, efficiency and accommodation all the way. I highly recommend their services!
