Had s couple emergency. Night shift helpful and made comfortable. Day shift is no help and waited hour before seen.

Very good ER. Got me right in and found out what was going on. Yvette was the best nurse ever, Jason went above and beyond the call of duty and Gazelle was big help.

My 96-year-old grandmother was brought to Desert Regional following a car accident in which she fractured her sternum. After a week - she was transferred to the skilled nursing/rehab center at the hospital where a physical therapist was supposed to work with her on regaining her strength: walking, etc. Information - including the fact that she needed to be given Ensure because she wasn't eating, and family phone numbers - were NOT transferred over. After two days - DR discharged her and moved her to another nursing facility in Palm Springs WITHOUT notifying or consulting her daughter who has power of attorney (because she has mild dementia). Her family lives in Palm Desert - and, earlier we requested that any facility that she's moved to - be near her family. HORRIBLE COMMUNICATION. I hear this hospital is great when it comes to handling trauma patients - but, if you have elderly family members - stay CLEAR of this hospital.

I have had 2 nurses since I've been here that I feel personally indebted to. They have been the sweetest most amazing women I could have asked for. Going above and beyond from the moment I was admitted into my Labor room. & not just caring for me but for my son as well. Thank you nurse Linda & Veronica. ❤️ You are god sent along with all the staff in L&D.

So this is one thing that's wrong with the Health Care system. I was billed a $200.00 co-pay when I went in for about 8 to 10 minutes. I fell and sprained my knees on Saturday morning. On Sunday I was in a lot of pain with swelling, so I wanted to be checked out to make sure no ligaments or anything was torn. The closest Urgent Care for Kaiser insurance is in Indio, an hour away from my house. So they told me I could go to the emergency room. I went in and the nurse called me immediately before I even finished filling out the half page check in form. I was seated in a little room right behind the check in desk. They took my blood pressure, asked me some questions and the doctor felt my knee and told me that it appeared to be just a sprain, but to wait a few more days to see if it felt better. They wrapped it in an ace bandage and told me to keep it elevated and iced. When I went to check out they said my co-pay was $200.00 and that the "doctor would bill me separately for his service". When I asked how much the entire visit was they said, "I can't tell you that". I can't imagine that it would even COST $200.00. Maybe I'm crazy but it seems like the co-pay is more than the entire bill should have been. So if I'm getting a separate bill from the Doctor, what was that $200.00 for??? Now, not only are my knees in pain, I now feel sick BECAUSE of the ER visit.

I have been living in this desert 30 years or more I have been to Desert Regional many times emergency room several times had several surgeries. They are the best around I can't say enough about the professionalism the courtesy customer service the Immaculate Hospital how clean and organized everything is. I recently had surgery performed at Desert Regional from the volunteers who register you in the lobby right to the nurses the anesthesiologist and my surgeon the facilities everything is top-notch first class. I can't see how anybody would say they were rude unless of course you were rude to them or you didn't have the proper information proper Insurance proper paperwork that they suggested you bring I have no pity for you. Follow the rules follow instructions that's why we have so many imbeciles in this desert. Desert Regional Medical Center is exceptional and outstanding always.. I never had a bad experience there even had to take my mother there several times to the emergency room. I'm very grateful that it's right here in my backyard..

Someone very close to me just had a major reaction withdrawing from a medication. While in the ER, to say he was a "difficult" pt would be an understatement, however the staff did what was needed to save his life and treated the family with the utmost respect and consideration. While in the ICU, the staff treated him very kindly and gently. When I left him to come home, he told me he felt like he was being left "in good hands". I am an RN myself, and I understand how some minor things can get missed, but I was extremely impressed when I noticed every little detail of pt care had been done, including prophylactic measures to prevent complications. This person has been terrified of hospitals all his life, however, he himself is very grateful for the compassionate care he has received. Thank you to everyone, and I couldn't recommend this hospital any more highly!

God help you if you have to go to this hospital! My son in law was in a terrible car accident in the Palm Springs area while traveling between California and Arizona which severed his spinal cord and left him paralyzed. Since being admitted, he has been mistreated, ignored and neglected. He's being forcibly discharged unsafely because the casemanager refuses to do her job and find him a rehab center to continue healing and get the therapy he needs to prepare him for daily living. They are discharging without the proper equipment for bed to wheelchair transfers putting him and caretakers in danger. The physical therapy and nursing dept has not worked with family to teach what is necessary for proper care post discharge. The staff is rude from receptionists to doctors. This is hands down the worst hospital I have ever come across. Stay away if you can.

Went for severe back pain. Nurse was awesome to me. Took me in right on time of my appointment.(not life threatening). Then things went south. Dr never asked if the pain radiated down my leg and around my belly till I was leaving, (it does) then talked over my answer. Listened to my breathing I have bronchial copd , but my breathing was fine.(sat at 98%). She ordered breathing treatment, did a chest x-ray and sent me home with meds I cannot take. Never addressed my back but to say soft tissue injury. There was no injury!!!

I would say my mom had a great stay but it wasn't. At first the nurses were very helpful and kind. Towards the end of her stay she was treated horribly. She was supposed to have physical therapy and they didn't come around to walk her. The nurses and cna's didn't come around. Her doctors were excellent. Yesterday when she was discharged we were rushed out of the room. The nurses didn't make sure her oxygen tank was on. Overall I'm very disappointed.

I rate poor because of the poor mindset and judgment. So I come to pray for the doctors, nurses, and hospital in whole.
Dear Lord,
I come to you today asking you to change these people mindset of how they view your children. No disable child should be looked at as not worth the medical care you have gave these ones the ability to perform. I pray you bless more in this field and send Christians that sees everyone in your image. It is unfortunate that a person has to be in societies or the worlds form of "normal" to get the right medical treatment. But Lord you have took action and I thank you. #TeamMook
