  There is nothing like good comfort food of their clam chowder!!! A great way to bring yourself back to the south end of Portsmouth!!!

  Had the shrimp cocktail sandwich and New England clam chowder. Great sandwich and so far the best clam chowder on our NE trip

  One of the few places I've been able to find finnan haddock. Fresh seafood all looked great. Friendly staff and nice location only a short walk from down town.

  Outrageously over-priced fishthis family run fish market might as well steal your wallet the minute you step over the threshold into their store. I went in to buy Wild King Salmon, which they had priced as $30 a lb! The market price for that is between $ 12-15 a lbdoubling the price on fish just because Portsmouth has turned into Yuppyville is not acceptable for the long-time residents of Portsmouth. The Sanders Family should be ashamed of themselves for falling into the greediness of this business & trying to pull the wool over their customer's eyes! Makes me absolutely sick!!! Save you're money & go someplace that hasn't lost their integrity & honesty!

  The staff was great!! Very friendlyand helpful.
  
  The lobster roll was "meh." It had a great amount of meat (whole claw and tail meat) but the rest didn't do it justice. It was on a plain and cold keiser roll that was lightly toasted but the cold lobster meat just made it soggy. It was dry and bland so I ended up just eating the meat plain. Not something I would pay $19 for again. :(

  We live in CT but travel to Portsmouth, NH every year. We always bring a cooler to bring home Sander's fresh crabmeat. I won't buy any other crabmeat to make my crabcakes. Last year we were most fortunate to bring home the Jonah Empress crab claws which were absolutely delicious with mustard mayonnaise sauce. I loved not having to shell the meatlike eating a crab lollipop! I sure wish I lived near this market and not 2 hours away! I would be a weekly customer. Please let me know when you'll be getting the Empress claws again! Thanks!

  We had a delicious Lobster Roll .. which was NOT full of mayo or fillers 😊👍
  The chowder was quite excellent and again, simply prepared.
  We hoped to buy some fresh fish but the selection was quite limited, so we passed.
  The young staff were pleasant & professional.
