Rooms were nice and clean. Staff was pleasant and helpful. Location is right in the gas lamp quarter of San Diego. Plenty of dining and entertainment options within walking distance. There is a self service paying garage across the street for $15 vice $45 for valet.

Nice hotel right across the street from the Padre's stadium. Be warned parking is $45, but that's pretty normal for downtown hotels. Concierge lounge for evening snacks and breakfast a bit small and crowded. Room was well appointed clean and quiet. Front desk staff, competent and efficient. Will definitely stay again.

Great hotel. I stayed here multiple times for conferences. They always have exceptional service. The breakfast in the morning is outstanding, and the rooftop bar is a lot of fun. If you find yourslef in San Diego, please look to stay at this hotel, the overall experience is one of the best I've seen in my travels around the world

This hotel is really nice. The beds are soft, and the pillows are as well. The amenities provided were fantastic. The Concierge Lounge was a bit different than most Marriotts I've been to though. For some reason the first morning they believed I wasn't checked in, and then proceeded to harassment about not being allowed in Concierge Lounge. This despite the fact that my key could open the door, and was an elite member key.

Beautifully located comfortable hotel! The rooms are spacious, clean and comfortable. The meeting rooms are well appointed but consistently Arctic in temperature. The staff were efficient, friendly and helpful. This was a 4 day business meeting. The banquet food was mediocre at best and prices at a premium. Stay here, but eat out!

The beds were extremely comfortable. The hotel was very clean. The room was spacious. I enjoyed my stay very much and would recommend it to a friend. On the down side, The Altitude bar drinks are heavily over priced. Front desk attendant didn't provide much information - most important that we need our hotel key to operate the elevators. All in all the stay was pleasant.

Great location. Near a lot of things. Beautiful hotel. The room doesn't have a fridge. Small convenience, but you do miss it.

Went to have some drinks with boyfriend for my birthday. The view is always stunning. Especially for a baseball loving couple like us. Then the city views are so picturesque. Typical downtown prices for drinks. Nice fire pit. Some music.

Best thing about the hotel - the rooftop bar. Simply amazing setting. The location right next door to the baseball stadium is also fantastic. Room are nice and comfortable with great beds. The overall property is nice but not amazing as it's an older building with smaller bathrooms with tub/shower combos. Also the lack of a pool or hot tub was a let down.

Spent an anniversary here and it was beautiful, the location was excellent as well. Gaslamp is a pretty fun area and anyone traveling to San Diego, I'd recommend spending a night in this district. Great hotel to spend the evening.

Gorgeous hotel, much higher quality than we usually stay. From the parking valet to the bellhop to the room service, every staff member we encountered was friendly and competent and quickly able to accommodate our requests. The hotel itself if located conveniently next to many restaurants and attractions including Petco Park. I was able to walk to the convention center in about 12 minutes. There is a rooftop lounge where you can look down into the stadium. We were able to watch the baseball game and see every player clear as day! Everything in this place is clean and bright. A lovely stay at a lovely hotel.

Marriott Gaslamp hotel is a very nice hotel , Staff are very friendly and professional, Breakfast is nice. There is even a nice view. However Computer in the business center is slow. Bring a laptop if you need computer work done!!! The lounge is not open all the time.
3 minutes walk to the conventional center.

Come here regularly for Altitude. Can't speak to the hotel itself. Bar though is one of the best in the city, if only for the view. Bartenders and other wait persons usually attentive and cool. Prices and value about what you would expect for a bar in a hotel--touristy.

Absolutely gorgeous hotel! We stay here almost every year for 10+ years and it is consistently great. Well appointed Beautiful suite. Delicious new menu this year and amazing room service. Park for the hotel and walk anywhere in the Gaslamp. Bars and amazing restauants surround the hotel. The best service by the staff of any hotel we have ever stayed at. Thank you Amy Bond!
