Stayed in private room, across from bars, noise didn't bother us. AWESOME shower, hot and lots of pressure. Great view too! Location is amazing, staff was super helpful, quiet all around when we were there loved the little library too! Kitchen was nice, loved the appliances and tea! :) Discounted SeaWorld tix were perfect, and I hope to stay again and take the Mexico trip! Thank you, we loved this place and have recommended it many times! Oh, we also stayed in an interior 2 person dorm and were surprised how comfortable it was! Clean all around, and cool art work lol
Gets loud at night being next to all the bars. No venting in the rooms. Bathrooms are good size, private, and clean. Great full new-looking kitchen, great common area, both nicely vented with lots of windows. Pool table.
Fantastic hostel. The people were friendly, helpful and really passionate about the travelers that pass through. The rooms and bathrooms were clean and new, better than some hotels I've been to. The location is prime for night life, and still a short ride from anything worth going to on San Diego. Recommend to anyone traveling here.
Compared to a different hostel we stayed in while in San DiegoTHIS PLACE WAS GREAT! Clean, comfortable beds, spacious rooms, many private baths per floor, organized staff, free towels.
The only downside to our experience was the power went out within an hour of checking in and didn't come back on until the next night. The rooms were very hot to sleep in because we couldn't open the windows (a/c units in the way). However the staff did try and make things right by giving us a partial refund for the inconvenience.
I would stay here again. Can't beat the price and location for a clean place to stay!!
New hostel was really cute! Got a private room with good amount of space. Amazing location to everything! Hostel has great events and discounts!
The staff was always very helpful and kind. The elevator is incredibly slow. The neighborhood is loud and busy at night. The cookies in the lobby were delicious and well worth the $1 donation. Pillows and comforter were quite comfortable. Hand soap in the bathrooms smelled terrible.
Very cool spot. I shared a room with three other gals. The bunk beds were clean and adequate, and it was nice to have a locker (though some more bench space would have gone a long way). Shared bathrooms were clean most of the time, but staff had a hard time keeping up with morning usage. Not sure they even tried, but the kitchen is well equipped and the front desk attendants were fantastic. I wish the nightclubs down the street were not there, but such is life. Flat headphones did the trick. I'd stay here again.
Clean hostel rooms and very friendly and helpful staff. Location is probably the best thing about this plac as it's right in the middle of the party district. Our room window couldn't be opened due to the aircon which meant ig someone went to the bathroom, things got a bit smelly. Out other room was fine and you could open windows.
The place is clean, the stuff friendly and the location fine. But the room and the beds we've stayed in were lousy. The beds were actually really run down badly and we found it most comfortable to sleep on the edge of the bed. The windows did not close air-tight so the smoke from the street was intruding into our room. Not nice.
Nice hostel. Excellet location. Not too noisy
This place is awesome. I'm from
CA and this is my go-to whenever I visit Sam Diego. Clean and friendly hostel, and perfect location. Literally the most lively intersection in Gaslamp District.
I stayed when it wasn't busy and had my own room for $35 a night. Right in the middle and downtown, they offered free show tickets, by chance, and discounts on the weekend pub crawls. Had all the traveling guides for San Diego you could wish for. And they even have tours to Mexico and the Beaches. Very friendly staff and guests and quite the art selection throughout the halls
