This was a very pleasant surprise to get lunch at!
Fish of the day platter was Amberjack .. totally freshly prepared, generous portion grilled to perfection with choice of two sides (I had Cole Slaw and Potato Salad yummy!)
Even the hush puppies (which I usually don't like) were delicious .. which also was a pleasant surprise.
Sweet tea perfect sweetness.
Will be back in future to try more ..

The line moved quickly to order our take out for 6 people. It was just a 10 minute wait until our food was ready. Our dinners did not disappoint. Perfect meal to end our vacation. Will be back the next time we visit Fort Walton Beach.

Must stop seafood. Definitely a local favorite with a very casual atmosphere. There is also a drive in service. Expect a short wait during prime times. It’s a laid back, order your food and find your table kind of place.

We were on vacation and looking for a great seafood place to eat that wasn't an expensive tourist trap. We found it! A local gem! My whole family loved this place. The food was great. My husband had one of the grilled fish sandwiches and loved it. I had grilled the shrimp plate and the potato salad was unbelievably delicious! Ate way too much. It was definitely worth it.

My fiancee and myself eat here weekly and have never been disappointed. I am currently hooked on their grilled shrimp tacos, but have tried many other things. Fish of the day is always very fresh tasting. Cute little hidden gem. If you are looking for a local place to get decently priced seafood, I definitely recommend this spot

There's only 1 problem I have had at stewbys and that is I haven't had hot french fries. They are delicious but I can only imagine what they would taste like right from the fryer. Love it been 3x to turn my friends and family.

My wife and I had the pleasure of eating at this GREAT establishment on a trip we took to Fort Walton Beach. The food and service was amazing! We will definitely make this place a must stop every time we visit the area! Everything we ate was really good & very reasonably-priced.

Food is all hand made, hand cut, hand mixed. Very polite service and family friendly. Local owner and local crew made it complete of a truly home cooked meal. Very aware of allergies and everything is made at the time you order it so it's truly freshest. I will definitely be eating there again.

I had grilled fish platter. The fish was fantastic. Very fresh. The hush puppies were very good too. Fried ocra was good, not great. And then I was kind of disappointed in the gumbo. But really only because my expectations were really high. It's advertised as best gumbo you'll have, and it was just average to me. But overall, great experience!

The price is much cheaper than all other places we have been to. Service was spectacular. They tried to accommodate my order of blackened fish (although unsuccessful). But I was much happier with what came out instead. The shark and mullet were spectacular. The portions were very generous although sometimes the fish had what I felt was excess breading. When we came it was clean, tasty, short wait times, and good service. Only bad thing is decor but looking at the price of seafood and the price of the food it's good. Also it was great for me try shark the first time.

Best seafood ever!!! We stumbled upon this place when we visited in May and now that we came back in July we made a point to come back. It always has a wait outside the door so we like to get it to go and eat by the pool at the hotel. In and out in no time flat! Great food and friendly service!!!

We liked Stewby's so much that we ate there twice on our recent trip to the Ft. Walton area. Both times it was busy, but the staff was very friendly and handled the crowd well. We loved the fried shrimp dinner and found it to me a large portion for a much more reasonable price than the more touristy restaurants. The fries, cheese grits, okra, and hush puppies were good too! We will certainly return on future trips.

My family and I ate here a few days ago and were quite happy with our find. I had the fried oysters dinner with a side of slaw and fried okra. Everything was delicious and generously apportioned. Service was friendly but sometimes slow to get us drink refills. Prices were definitely fair for what we received. We'll be back in the future. Highly recommend!

Got Stewby' platter. Added side of chicken. Fish and shrimp were tasty. Oysters were mediocre. Chicken was very very plain. Hush puppies texture decent but breading was on the sweet side.
Kiddo got shrimp kids meal. Fries and shrimp were yum.
Disappointed in the price of 30 bucks for this trip with a fairly plain meal.response / report this review -

We make it a point to go when we are in the area. Love everything I've ever tried especially the shrimp and oysters. Shrimp tacos are really good too as is the fried fish (amberjack). Decent prices. Good place to take the kids. Love the laid back super casual atmosphere.
