I had heard a many great things of Fiddler's but last night was absolutely the worst experience I've ever had before. We had 2 waitresses as one was shadowing which caused over order (they we're both taking orders). The salads didn't come until AFTER the food was served. My kids didn't eat their food as it was over cooked, dry and the coating was basically burnt from the oil being so old. I recommend that you guys start making changes in your kitchen and work with your staff on how to properly serve and wait tables. I'm very disappointed in what service we received, what little my husband could eat made him physically sick.
Food was great. HOT and Fresh. Waitress was very nice. Well worth the price!
We have eaten here several times but tonight was the worst ever. Got there at 545 and went straight to our table. Not very many people there. At 630 our food had still not came out. We never got our app and finally had to vet our food to go bc the kids were going crazy.
Ate here for the first time the other night! Being from TX near the Gulf I was expecting really fresh seafood from Fiddlers, & of course all the locals brag so much about this place, Well I was very disappointed in there food. I had the All you can Eat Buffet, There was shrimp, fish, Alaskan crab legs, crab sticks, Prime Rib, and a whole bunch of side dishes, The Seafood itself was horrible, Its FROZEN & NOT EVEN CLOSE TO BEING FRESH. The Prime Rib was not to bad, and the sides were so so! This is a very nice place right on the water and all. The service was good and friendly. The only reason i am giving it 2 stars is for the Location and niceness of the staff. Oh yeah i did have a pina colada Mix drink. That also was the worst i have ever tasted. I took 2 sips and did not touch it anymore. I will not return to this place. For being right on the Gulf Coast & as high as the prices are, the food is not worth it at all! If you know what fresh seafood is then you will not want to eat at this place. Just some advise there!
Prime Rib was raw, barely brown on the outside and tough to eat. Butter for the crab legs had a weird flavor that was not good. The AUCE buffet was no where near worth the $29.00 they charged. Not even close to being worth it.
I really enjoy the food here. I also just happen to work here as well. We " Fiddler's " are the only restaurant I have ever known to cook your catch of the day to your very own specifications. You catch and clean your meal, they will prepare it exactly how you want it. From scallops, crabs, flounder basically anything you catch in these waters. They have a full bar, open patio seating overlooking the Steinhatchee River. They also do catering for small parties and weddings. So come on down to Fiddler's and enjoy the freshest seafood a restaurant can offer right here right now at Fiddler's Restaurant.
We had a great time! The service was great, the food was awesome. Definitely recommend
Local scallops and crab was good Liked hush puppies. Everything else was so so and way over priced for the quality. Prime rib tasted good. However cut thin on buffet like a slice of roast beef Buffet reminded me of Golden Corral.
Fiddlers is the perfect place for dinner if you have a large group. Their buffet is absolutely delicious. Lots of crab, shrimp, fish and other seafood dishes plus prime rib. Service was fast, waitresses friendly, drinks were very generous. We come to Fiddlers every time we visit Steinhatchee and are never disappointed. Also make sure you check out the local art for sale and the main lobby. Excellent!
If you want a great meal from an experienced chef, this place is great. It's not a chain or fast food place so kick your shoes off and enjoy a meal cooked to order. People need to slow down and enjoy time around a table more anyhow. :-)
If you like an uninspired menu and dining among cardboard cutouts of Donald Trump then this place is for you. Why alienate over half your potential customer base? Don't know, don't care, just keep on moving down the road to a different restaurant like Roy's.
Price for the buffet went up and it seems the quality went down. Rather disappointed with our last visit. The crab legs might have been overcooked in my opinion; the meat didn't slide out. The crawfish had no seasoning. The service was way sub par. Our waitress took her sweet time getting us plates and filling our drinks. When you're paying that much, you expect top quality food and top quality service. We'll unlikely ever go back unless we hear folks tell us it's gotten better. My folks went after us and had the same experience. Unfortunate.
