This hotel is one of the best hotels that I have ever visited. It has minigolf, 3 pools, 2 hot tubs, giant chess, shuffleboard, and basketball. It is also ocean side so you have direct access to the ocean and a beautiful beach.

The location is on the beach and provides a perfect view of the sunrise over the beach. The pool deck area is nice and clean. The beach in front of the hotel is perfect for enjoying the beauty of the area.

Overall it isn't bad. We are in the north bldg. It is old .we had several problems they were taken care of in a timely manner..the room phone really sucks!!! You can hardly hear the front desk. Most of the help are frendly. WOULD NOT STAY IN THIS BLDG. AGAIN !!!🤔

Royal Floridian Resort by Spinnaker is a multi storied resort in Ormond Beach situated on the beach. Comfortable rooms, large fridge, stove, microwave and a washer/dryer. Lots of activities including indoor and outdoor pools and hot tubs. The staff is friendly and accomodating. My only negative is the amount of walking between where we stayed (South) and where the pools were. My mother uses a walker and the only time I got her to the pool we went down to the parking garage and I drove her to the entrance. All ramps from there so she could enjoy it from there.

We like it here, it's clean inside and out. Landscaping is nice also, right on the corner of two main roads and directly on the beach. The only caveat is, the maintenance staff seems friendlier than Customer Service Staff at check-in.

This place is a great place to go and relax. The staff is more that friendly. Whatever you need just ask. We had a great weekend getaway here. There was so much to do that you really don't have to leave the property. Only downfall is that it doesn't have a restaurant on site. There are however plenty of great restaurants close by.

We showed up around 10am for check in. We didn't realize you couldn't check in until 4pm. I totally understand policies and that we were early. I even apologized to the front desk clerk for arriving so early. She said it was no problem, people show up early all the time. She stated that it wouldn't take very long to get the room ready and would be ready well before 4pm, meanwhile we could use the amenities while we wait. We used their beautiful outdoor pool for about 3 hours. Around 1pm we inquired about the room status. We were told that it wasn't ready yet, but it shouldn't be much longer. We went ahead and unpacked our car putting our luggage on a cart (thinking it would any minute now). Having enough of the heat we decided to watch TV in a lounge area. We waited until 2pm and inquired about the status again. I explained that we were now wondering, so we could plan what to do for lunch (pack the car backup or would we be able to eat the groceries we had bought). The lady then says, we'll we can't guarantee a room before 4pm. Why not say this from the start instead of making us think we would get a room early? We wait yet another hour5 hours of waiting after originally being told it wouldn't be too long. Then we are told our room is in a different building. Also, that the premises that this building is on is smoke free. Literally you cannot smoke on your balcony or on the side of the building. You must walk to the main premise to smoke, not to mention get to the pool and all hotel amenities. None of this was advertised as we made our reservation. Also, not mentioned was that the indoor pool was out of service and stairs to get to the beach were out of service. The ladies working the desk the first day seemed to care less about how all of this made us feel. Every other staff member we have encountered has been amazing, helpful and very friendly! The room is very nice and upgraded.

We did change rooms but the staff was perfect and made our stay excellent! Third floor was perfect! Our room had everything we needed along with supplies for our stay! The resort offered a lot of fun activities and summer activities for children. I loved the mini golf, basketball court, shuffle board and the beach access! We also met very friendly owners of the resort that made our stay fun!
Great staff! Perfect location to everything! Beautiful scenery!

Loved it! Right on the beach with a wonderful patio and pool area. Very nice unit facing the beach. Conveniently located near Daytona Beach. Great weather too

The pool area was beautiful and well maintained. Lots of areas to sit or tan. Rooms were nice and updated. Parking was hard to come by and poles in underground area were hard to park around

It has been 4 years since we have visited the Royal Floridian. I recieve several phone calls daily now ever since my wife and I rented a luxury condo from this resort.
Spinnaker resorts apparently took it upon themselves to sell my name and number to telemarketers. I receive 1-3 calls per day from Florida, Georgia and my home town trying to sell me vacation packages from Spinnaker.
I contact spinnaker resorts yearly to have them stop contacting me and they say sorry we will here we are, year 4. Highly annoying.

Although this location and property was absolutely amazing I can not say I will ever recommend this resort to anyone due to the headache of the non stop phone calls.

Disgusted. My phone rings at 10PM every other night from this resorts telemarketing.

We picked a special place for our last time timeshare use since we are both up in age now. The Royal Floridian showed us a wonderful time. Extremely helpful. Found us a perfectly placed unit for elevator and view. Unit was supplied with more than enough towels, silver, etc. etc.
Lots of fun things to do, beanbag, miniature golf, and shuffleboard contests to keep big kids like me busy. Indoor and outdoor pools.
And lest we forget, a great complimentary bingo game with great prizes again for big kids like me. I'll take this opportunity to thank the wonderful staff again for making our stay so memorable.

We are condo owners here. Our stay this visit was in the south tower. Our room is nice and the room amenities are above average. My biggest issues are 1, our bed is very hard and springy. 2, the south tower has no pool or beach access requiring us to walk across to the main building to swim or go to the beach, very inconvenient.
