Excellent tourist information with very helpful staff
Great views of the lake. Very friendly rangers in the visitors center.
I just watched the video of jennette and an over whiney, way over the top entitled nightmare of a customer, and I'm here to say that she handled it correctly and has all the right in the world to do business with whomever she wants, you go girl! The customer marches his troops all the way to the marina, only to explain his dissatisfaction with the posted prices of the rental boats, and then, does not meet the rental guidelines of the whole day rental (he only wanted it for half of the day). Knowing the price of the rental, and the minimum legnth of time the boat could be rented, I think he went there to try to work a deal to fit his needs, and when she said no and withdrew his reservation, he decides to film the situation and make her look like a bigot because of his one black kid. Bottom line, if you want to rent a boat for 4 hours, and at a better price, go someplace else, don't go out of your way and hassle jennette! People like this guy want things when they want it, at a price they want, and when that's not meant, the race card gets played and the camera comes out. I hope they had a crappy vacation, because I'm sure that hotel clerks and restaurant servers were probably treated with the same situation.
Beware these people are racist and bad business all the way Jeanette is the worst 0 customer service and a racist handled other customers right in front of us refused to honor our reservation of course i video recorded the whole thing hopefully the public will get to see what type of people are at roosevelt marina
Love this place been coming here for 35 years.
Here is their description
"Our 22' Pontoon accommodates 12 people! With a 115HP, this boat will take you anywhere on the lake. Enjoy the lounging area and couple it with a watertoy package for a fun day at the lake."
Here is my experience.
We rented this boat and I'm sorry I did! It was dented to hell and falling apart. There is very sharp exposed corners where the rubber is falling off of the boat. There were loose screws 2" or longer sticking out everywhere. The canopy is falling apart and not stable, the seats are rotted to hell. It has no power. We purchase the water toy package and after paying for it they told us that the boat would only be capable of pulling a small child not any adults but that was after it was paid for.
The rental is not a full day it is 6 hours. Which we didn't get told until after payment was received. We were told on the phone that it was form 8 to 5 when they closed. The customer service was just horrible. The lady that ran the rental got angry and raised her voice at us after we pointed out the flaws on the boat during the inspection. We were just trying to cover our butts so we would get our deposit back. The fact that they didn't tell us it was from 8am until 2pm until after it was paid for bothered me pretty bad I hope you take our word for it and find another rental.
Great lake. Crowded on holidays, but always a great spot
There is a good place to stay with friends and family😏
Beautiful scenery that is still within a day trip -distance from Phoenix. We just hiked in the area and enjoyed the view but I imagine there is good fishing and opportunity for water sports as well.
We paid the cash in envelope, honor-method fee to enter with our boat in tow, then got completely grossed out by several over-flowing Port-a-Potties (sp?) near the boat launch. Decided to go back up the hill to use the facilities at the USFS Visitor Center and then up the road to the USFS Windy Hill boat launch instead. It is absolutely disgusting that this privately owned marina would allow such filth. Not only can we not un-see it, we are also out $10 in entrance fees. Yuck!
Quick service and not crowded like the lakes closer in to the Valley. Do yourself a favor and skip Pleasant, Canyon and Apache and come here. You'll drive for another 30 min but you will have room to breathe, unlike those other lakes.
I was fortunate to have the opportunity to visit the Roosevelt lake marina last week and it was great! I was especially happy that the drive was not as long as I expected, very easy to get there. Everyone working at the marina was very nice and accommodating. The rental boats were in good condition and it was easy to pick up snacks in the store so we had drinks and snacks on the lake. Also, fueling up is easy. The lake levels are really good, making for lots of water area to explore and get away. Beautiful views too!
