Very rude people, not good at all for special need kids
We had a fun time about two months ago picking up strawberries at Roger's Farm. Although the season was ending soon in late May and most strawberries were rotten, you could still find big and fresh ones underneath. There's also a good number of vegetable selections and the big-long-fat zucchini squash tastes awesome.
Been going here for 30 or more years. Love this place. I pre-order bushels and can and freeze. I heard today where they sold the farm and will be closing??? Is this true??
Nothing spectacular. I don't know who the other reviewers were talking about when they said "nice people" (the girl who checked us out was less than amiable, but was the only one we interacted with meaning I'm basing this review around her). Strawberry field was beyond overrun with weeds which largely took away from the experience for my daughter's because most of the weeds were up to waist high on them. Will probably try a different farm next time.
We went to pick strawberries and had a really nice time. There were tons of berries, they were perfectly sweet and delicious. They charge $1.50 per pound and they give you a bucket to use. Everyone there was very nice and they had a little produce stand set up with jams and local honey and other goodies. A great way to spend a morning.
Field Trip was so much fun, hayrides, corn maze, pumpkins and activities were great.
I honestly don't know where all of these negative reviews are coming from. I have been going to this place since I moved to Florida five years ago, and not once have I had a horrible experience there. It's a family owned business that takes great care of their crops, and everyone is helpful and ready to answer any questions that you may have. I will continue to give Rogers Farm my business!
