I called Dodge to get a appointment about a diagnostic inspection to be done on my vehicle and I was told be one of the service lady's that if my car was going to stay someone would call me. I left my car there for 3 days on that 3rd day I called and they informed me that I was have a Tipm module that's had a shortage. Well remind u I drove this car up there, when I went to pick my car up it would not crank they didn't try to help me no one explained what a Tipm was or anything they told me I would have to pay a little under 2,000 out the door. My complaint it the lack of communication. I never was informed that my car would b staying 1 night never the less 3 and on top of that they told me my part would come the next day and be ready by noon. That turned into "well it should it nothing happens with the truck". When I drop my car off to a actual dealership I trust my car to be in good hands, and I didn't feel that with my car. I would never go back to them and I wouldn't recommend anyone either.
Could not get ahold of anyone in service department, after calling three seperate times throughout the day. Called the Ocala location instead and had no problem. Would rather drive hour out of my way than deal with the Gainesville dealership. Thanks for nothing guys!
We'll see. Leaving trail rated Jeep Wrangler for service. Multiple lights going off as usual. Hopefully it doesn't cost too much to get it running safely. I work for for the US postal service , not sure if that mattes
with the purchase of my Jeep I was allowed 4 free oil changes/tire rotations at the dealership.
Service is generally slow so we scheduled ahead of time, dropped my Jeep off for a scheduled oil change appointment. 4 hours after drop off when I come to pick it up they had “just taken it back”
I understand I’m getting a free service and yes they very well may be busy back there but I think 4 hours is excessive. There’s a lack of communication, the person you speak to on the phone tells you yes if you bring it in at this time we can have you done by said time at the latest. But don’t expect that when you actually drop off your vehicle.
Update: they had my Jeep for a total of 5 hours FOR AN OIL CHANGE. I ended up waiting an hour after I came back to pick up my Jeep. Once I have used up my free oil changes I will not be returning to actually pay for this kind of service.
I bought a 2013 Dodge Durango (around 40,000 miles)on 07AUG17 and I was told it was a "Certified Vehicle" and had a clean car fax. An obvious lie. 😏 After the first rainy day the right front and back passenger doors began to leak. The door was not aligned properly due to a significant sideswipe accident. The vehicle also shook at speeds of 65+. I took the vehicle back to the service department with in 2 weeks of buying it and was told nothing was wrong but they would balance the tires. I also reported a significant jerk when the vehicle geared down from 2nd gear to 1st but was told it was because it was an AWD vehicle.😳 I was told nothing would be done about the door. My problem now.😡
The balance job didn't solve the shaking problem, so I took it back to the service department. My husband drove with one of the service Technician. He admitted there was something wrong but his advice was not to drive 65+ so it wouldn't shake! 😳 They tried balancing tires again..which solved nothing.
My husband and I spoke to the GM to maybe trade for another used vehicle and void this deal. The GM was surprised that the vehicle was even certified. The only way he offered to help was for us to trade up to a brand new $40+thousand vehicle! 😳 He wasn't willing to void the deal and was trying to give us $2500 less then we paid less then 4 weeks ago. Mind you the only reason we bought a used vehicle to begin with was because my husband is retiring soon from over 20+ years in the Army and we can't handle a $650 monthly payment!!!
So we were lied to repeatedly that the vehicle was never wrecked, had a clean car fax and they backed it up by certifying the vehicle! Turns out it was in a significant high speed sideswipe that involved the front and back passenger side. They sold us a dangerous, unsafe vehicle and was not willing to make it right. We ended up having to trade and lose over $6000. The dealership we used to trade said that the vehicle would go to auction because they would never sell anything like that on their lot. I'm absolutely disgusting how these predators took advantage of us. Their certification means absolutely nothing. This is how Marvin and Randy and the GM treat their military customers. I urge you to stay away from this dealership.
If I could give this experience less than one star, I would.
Called 1 week before to make the appointment regarding a transmission issue on a brand new car.
Was reminded Friday about the appointment on Monday. Dropped the car off before the appointment time that Monday morning, and was told that I'd receive a call from Joe ( the service manager assigned to me ) if "he decides to come to work today"-says one of his coworkers.
At 2 pm, I called to find out that he was on lunchbreak and would return my call. 2 hours later, no call.
At 430, I finally get Joe, and he's acting kindve shady-telling me that my car is "in transit". When pressured to answer what exactly that meant, he tells me that it hasn't even been looked atthey are really busy. What's the point of an appointment, and better yet, why am I hunting you down to get an answer to the whereabouts of my car.? He acted as if he didn't care, and even pulled a "who are you again?" moment.
I reminded him of the appointment I had made last week, and also the courtesy call on Friday.at any point he or someone could have communicated that the dealership was backed up.
No-we'll just take your car and sit on it until we feel like giving you call at some point.
As of 1230 the following day, it still hasn't been worked on.
I was told they might get to it sometime today-maybe.
I picked it up and will do business elsewhere.
I failed to mention that we had the same car in for an oil change two weeks prior. They didn't even put it back together again when we left to leave.
I had to grab one of the techs to put the air cabin filter panel back in.
These guys just don't care.
Wonderful service staff Especially Ian and Len Sebastian is amazing.. Will definitely return to him when ready to buy another new car.
Went in with my friend during her car deal and enjoyed the service the first time we went. Originally that got me to think maybe I'd be interested in a jeep. Never did I think it would be actually attainable. I didn't feel pressured to buy by anyone there. Kenny and Thomas ended up getting us both AWESOME deals on the cars we wanted. The service was fast and they worked with us on what we wanted. Kenny and Thomas were both patient and kind and helped us with all our questions and sealing the deals. They even stayed late to help me purchase mine. So happy with the whole experience!! Now we are both the proud owners of 2017 Jeep Grand Cherokees!!! Thanks Kenny and Thomas!!!
I have never in my life been so angry with a company to the point I felt the need to write a review. Do not have your vehicle serviced here, something I was already aware of. I brought my car in for a timing chain recall, was told I could pick it up the next day, repairs were not finished for a week, during the repair they broke my water pump trying to remove it, then had the audacity to try and call me and make me pay to replace it. I explained to them I was a mechanic and would fix it myself and hung up. Received a call a couple hours later from the service department, all of a sudden the water pump was a part covered under collateral and they fixed it. Now a year later I go under my hood and two of the bolts on the water pump they replaced are hanging out about half way. Clearly the repair procedure and torque specs were not followed. Properly torqued bolts don't back out. I called and spoke with the service manager today to explain to him my concerns and frustration and he had 0 respect and he told me to fix it myself. How unbelievably unprofessional and disrespectful. I will never be doing business with these people ever again
The service department was on point to get our vehicle to the back but the little fella running the desk was having a hard time understanding that if you share the work load, you can cycle people out faster. All in all, the staff was friendly and the environment was crisp. Almost makes me wanna switch to being a Mopar man but I'm a Chevy guy til I die! Lol.
My experience is always great the guys at the service desk are awesome. Today Ian helped me but it's usually Joseph who I see when I bring my Durango in for service. Only one problem with today. When I got my Durango back my seat was soaked and my car smelled like BO. Nasty! Have to have the seats shampooed. On my way home I had to stop and put a towel on my seat because it was getting my clothes wet. Super gross. I stopped twice to change out the towel. It's a 20 minute ride home
My son was in the market for a late model Mustang and we were looking all over northeast Florida/Southeast Georgia. We found one here and drove down from Jacksonville to check it out. He decided the next day to buy it, so we came down again. We got there after closing, but Thomas waited it out and was there to finish the deal. The car is outstanding and the price was reasonable.
I've been dealing with numerous repair or service departments and I'm extremely impressed with the manner and expertise shown here at Gainesville Chrysler Jeep. Theres warranty work due on my car and I will not hesitate bringing my car back here. Granted my car wouldn't start and needed a new battery, and with newer cars its definitely not a simple job as once was. This is a very, very busy department so I advise making an appointment if possible.
Everyone was curtious, knowledgeable and good business to deal with. As with automotive it can be costly, but customers knew the work is right the first time.
My opinion is not only from my repair but observing returning customers. Yes I certainly pay attention.
They are wheelchair accessible.
Why have me schedule an appointment if it doesn't mean anything?
I had an appointment scheduled for warranty work and was told the work would take less than an hour. I show up 15 minutes before my appointment and was informed it will "be a while" before my Jeep would get in and that it would be beyond the hour wait time. Why even schedule an appointment? Shouldn't I get preference over any walk-ins? Last time I will be here.
Update: Got my Wrangler back from the manual transmission shift lever recall and my shifter is now very clunky (it was smooth shifting prior to service). Also, my shift knob now moves up and down slightly and isn't secure. The service guy said he couldn't tell a difference in shifting between 1st and 2nd, so I left the dealer frustrated. Driving down the street I had to FORCE the Jeep into 3rd. If felt like I was pushing it through a bag of rocks. I am back at the dealer now and they are looking at it again.
