Cool spot with customers that span the generations. Food and service always good. Could have more entree choices and lasagna only served on weekends, but doesn't lessen the quality of what is offered.
Great pizza! Best we've had anywhere. Warren and Linda are great people. We used to eat here every week when we lived in SB and go back every time we are in town.
One of my favorite restaurants anywhere! The pizza is great, the staff efficient and friendly. Even on a crazy night after a football game, when it is packed, you never get the feeling that you are being rushed. Can't say enough good things about Rocco's!
Service was exceptional, extremely friendly & comforting, made for a great experience. Got a plate of spaghetti and meatballs which was very filling. Delicious food and generous portions! Owner was there and thanked us for coming as we left. Would highly recommend this establishment to anyone in the South Bend/Notre Dame area!
The best food I have had during my trip to South Bend. Pizza, salad, and cheesy bread were all fantastic. Service was quality and the owner greeted us and checked on us. There's a reason this place is known for best pizza since 1951. Highly recommend if you are in town!
The pizza is awesome! We took a group of students there to show then what pizza is supposed to taste like. The dishes also looked tempting - we'll have to try that next time.
"The number one Italian restaurant in South Bend?" My thoughts were (a) we'll never get seated and (b) it'll cost an arm and a leg. I was wrong on both accounts and am so glad we tried to go in the first place instead of being intimidated by the status of Rocco's. The pizza and salad are fantastic and the staff are super kind and gracious. It can be noisy because it's such a popular place, but it's a must for anyone in the area!
Huge crowds waiting, but we still could sit down in 1/2 hour. Wait staff very knowledgeable and nice. Our food arrived quickly, and was generous in portion and delicious!
Great service, excellent food, Locally owned and operated. I'm not sure if there is a better Italian eatery in town.
Best pizza you're going to have. Thin and perfect sausage is sent from heaven. Lasagna better than any version of your mom's. Have a drink and relax, food will come when it's ready.
Wanted to love this place and thought I would based on the good ratings it has received, however it was just okay. You order your food at the counter and the cashier is a vegetarian so she can't tell you anything about the meats on sandwiches. Food is served rather quickly but nothing about is to rave about. It's just
My family stumbled across this place 4 years ago when we wanted pizza away from our normal. It's been almost the only pizza we have eaten since. The crust is a thinner crust and a little crispy on the bottom. The Julia salad is Amazing! It is family style and sometimes we add another person so we get a little extra. The house lasagna takes up the whole plate and the alfrado is just perfect.
“History, Beauty & Awesome Food!”
This is one Restaurant that should not be missed. The food is exceptional, but if you love old Architecture & history as well, then this is the place to go! It has it all. Our Waiter Douglas was so amazing with history knowledge of the home we were eating in, but he also is the main Tour Person on Saturdays
