Best sushi in Madison! High quality, tasty drinks. This is my first choice every time!

Muramoto is one of my favorite places to dine downtown for lunch specials. I always get the pork belly for 9 dollars on the lunch menu. They have some of the best seaweed salad I’ve ever had. Staff is friendly and so is the kitchen which is open! I will be a regular here as long as I live in Madison!

Great food. Appetizers and sushi looked and tasted fantastic. Service seemed rushed, we received last appetizer as mains (sushi) arrived. Price was high but the quality is awesome.

Best sushi in Madison hands down.
Great, fresh, well made sushi.
Try everything.
The late night menu always has 3(ithink?) unique cooked items that are totally amazing and worth coming in for. Definitely one of the best places to get late night eats. It's a great atmosphere and they serve up stuff you can't get during the day. So check that out too.

Good food, better location, but I really can't stand the lunch menu. I go for rolls, I want a lunch special, I don't want the rolls to be chef's choice. Give me a lunch price, and let me pick what I want.

Was referred here by a friend, and was beyond impressed with the atmosphere and food. The drinks (or the ones I had anyway) were excellent. This is my new favorite sushi spot ☺️

Update: After like a year or so I decided to give them another shot with another group of friends and this time we had a MUCH better experience. The new location is very nice, the service was spot on, and the food was much better. I am adjusting my 2 star rating to 4 and I will be going back.

A small group of us decided to try the lunch special here and the experience was pretty lackluster. From the time we were seated to the time we got our food, about 40 minutes went by. We did a late lunchtime (1pm) and we were 1 of only 4 tables in the entire place. Our server was clearly having a bad day. The sushi chef looked very disengaged. We scarfed our food down and rushed back to work. Thank goodness we get an hour. The sushi was average and the chef's choices were uninspired. I might try Muramoto again, but it won't be soon.response / report this review -

My husband, son and I went out for a celebratory dinner with my parents who had come to town. Unfortunately the dining experience and the service and the food was not what we had hoped for. We ordered off the sushi menu as well as the regular menu and the food took forever to be served. We were served at different times. We figured we would give them another chance and ordered dessert, and much to our dismay it was past 30 minutes and the dessert was no where in sight. We finally cancelled the dessert order and paid the check and headed home sadly very unsatisfied.
