This bar lounge is incredibly hip and cheap. The drinks are not watered down and the staff are incredibly friendly! This was the first time I came here. The people who come this to this bar are also amazing. I danced with complete strangers who where just as fun as the atmosphere.

I think I met the owner. My friends say it was just some random lady, but I think she was the owner. Who knows, I was wasted. Anyhow, she was really awesome. We could've talked for hours. The bar tender had carebear tattoos and made me the most incredible shot I've ever had. It was fruity and delicious! I highly recommend this bar.

It was a fun bar to go to even on a crappy day we when. The weather couldn't decide to rain or be sunny, but dispite it my friends and I had an enjoyable time with the waiter, bartender (who did some pretty cool tricks) and overall atmosphere and drinks.

I've been going to Genna's for about 15 years, and it hasn't changed at all. it is a chill place to hang out and very un-pretentious. they have good drinks and reasonable prices.

I've been to Genna's multiple times and i usually have a good experience. Last night I received poor customer service. I visited on a Tuesday evening and the bar tenders were preoccupied with their phones and constantly changing music. The bartenders would play about ten seconds into a song and decide to switch it. I felt as though I was on a bad road trip with a want to be DJ. They also seemed annoyed when taking our orders. Basically we inconvenienced them that we did not know what we wanted when we immediately walked in. Half our party did not order drinks or even finish them because of the atmopshere. We had less than two rounds and got out of there.

The most reasonable and properly mixed martinis in Madison!

I have been a patron of Genna's since my late college days, and I have always enjoyed the ambiance. Yes, there can be a bit of a hipster pretentiousness at times, but overall the customers are friendly, and the bartenders and waitstaff are laid back yet get their jobs done. It can be fun to chill outside during the warmer months in their outdoor seating area.

I also enjoy lounging upstairs depending on who is bartending up there. I was sold on the place for life, as I once fell, ass bouncing on every step, down the stairs. I barely spilled a drop of my martini, and the bouncer just looked at me and stated, "dude, that was awesome."

If you want good drink specials, especially martinis that are not overpriced, this is a great spot to hang.
