We had a great stay at this Residence Inn. The room was a studio w/a queen bed, desk/workspace, sleeper sofa, TV, and kitchen. The rate was reasonable, and includes a free breakfast that has something for everyone. Furthermore, the staff was very friendly and were more than happy to accommodate our needs.
Nice location. Nice employees. All around 5 stars.
Great two-bedroom suites; very accommodating staff and management. Parking was a little scarce for our visit due to a large number of State Farm adjusters staying. Breakfast had good selection of hot and cold items. Would book again.
This hotel hosts a large number of trainees for a nearby insurance company. My experience at this hotel was largely negative due to the raucous nature of these trainees and the hotel's unwillingness to deal with them. The free alcohol three times a week is a huge mistake. Numerous times I am woken up when a group of them get to their rooms and continue the party (on week nights). Calling the front desk is useless, they don't do anything.
The breakfasts are pretty good. Other hotel facilities are decent.
My room is pretty beat up. The vanities are old and worn. The room is a mashup of old and new it seems. The bathroom is decent. The kitchen was probably the best part.
Not being able to sleep the whole night on a weeknight is ludicrous in my opinion and frankly I have never experienced such apathy from hotel staff, at least not in a Marriott brand like Residence. I come to the Chicago area regularly and will not be staying here again.
Bed was soft but the pillows would start off firm and then turn to mush. Water pressure in the shower was nice. Kitchen area is nice. Adequate cookware to make a meal.. Internet was spotty and husband needed it to work from hotel even though he paid extra for the faster internet.
The women behind the front desk are very friendly and welcoming. Great managers night with wine, beer and food with a different theme each night (M-W). Pet friendly. Nice fitness room. Clean rooms, great maid service. Not 5 stars because the hallways can get pretty smelly with ethnic foods being cooked in the rooms. I understand the hotel has no control over this but should be noted that some rooms might be smelly although ours smelled wonderfully clean.
I just stayed here for a week. It was an enjoyable experience. Very clean and updated, with a very friendly and helpful staff. Hector, who works the front desk, is a standout employee. I hope his management sees what an asset he is. His helpful attitude and engaging personality made our stay first rate.
The rooms floor plan is perfect, I already could guess where everything was before looking. It was very comfortable and breakfast every day was so good. It was a wonderful temporary home away from home.
Amazing! My car had a battery problem & wouldn't start. The staff provided me with a car starter! Debit card was lost along the trip. Front desk assisted me to contact a third party to pay for the room with discretion & a comforting smile. Pool/hot tub sparkling clean. Kitchenette w/ dishes & cookware helped us save money while eating in comfort. Breakfast was tasty & well varied day to day.
Clean hotel with friendly staff! Of special note, was Hector, with whom I spoke before leaving Toronto. He was very friendly and helpful! Definitely an asset to Marriott.
Room was a one bedroom suite and just spacious enough for my wife and I and 15yr old son. Modern decor with a nicely appointed kitchen. Full size fridge and microwave! Two TVs are included with this room.
Breakfast was more than adequate with both hot and cold options. Around the clock coffee and tea are offered just off the lobby in the dining area.
