The Downtown/Riverview Residence Inn was a fine hotel though it is neither downtown nor really river viewable. The accommodations were similar to most Residence Inn establishments but the staff were not generally as detail oriented as other Residence Inns I have stayed at recently. There were two conditioners and no shampoos for instance. These are not things that make for a bad stay, they are just inconsistent wth the brand. The breakfast and breakfast attendant however was fantastic. I would almost recommend this hotel on that strength alone.

We stayed in this hotel for a hockey tournament and was very pleased. The kitchen area was very nice and had all we needed to prepare meals. The room was a nice size and clean.

Within 6 minutes of downtown Charleston and quite easy to get to. The staff is extremely friendly and helpful. This hotel does allow pets on one side of the hotel. We could not hear them from our room. Suite accommodations provide ample space for couples or families. There is a small market in the lobby that has spirits, snacks and food. They do have a nice breakfast buffet for guests.

Close enough to the downtown area yet quiet and secluded in its own way, my wife and I loved our stay here. The staff is terrific, and though there is no room service, food deliveries from nearby restaurants are easy. AND, I have never experienced a better room thermostat for regulating room tempo than this one!

The breakfast and dinner service was awesome. The staff are incredible and super friendly and helpful. We missed breakfast by fifteen minutes and they managed to get us plates fixed and feed us anyways.

Like majority Residence Inns, friendly staff, clean rooms and nice breakfast. I didn't use the kitchen but for people who plan to stay longer it was kept clean and would recommend using.

On the 12th of September, after not having power after hurricane Irma we was able to get a room for over night stay. The front desk staff was very helpful. Also we came back to the hotel September 15-17 to celebrate our wedding anniversary. The entire time we had excellent customer service from front desk, dining area and housekeeping. Special thanks to my sister that works at the hotel Louretta White for letting us use her family discount. She is the best

The apartment was nice and clean and there were TVs in each bedroom and in the lounge area. There was good free WiFi and a nice selection of TV channels. The gym was small and had two treadmills, two cross-trainers, a bike, a bench and a dumbbell rack. Breakfast was good too.

My sister and I always meet her. It is fabulous. The shuttle here to downtown means we don't waste time and have to deal with parking to enjoy the area. The pool is great and there is a very nice fire pit to hang out around and a gas grill for guest use. We LOVE it.

Had an enjoyable stay at the Residence Inn by Marriott. Dora, Melanie & Sabrina were especially helpful in meeting my families needs and giving recommendations on activities we wanted to do. The hotel is centrally located to all points of interest here in Charleston, 5 - 10 minutes from historic downtown and 20 minutes to Isle of Palms beach in Mt. Pleasant. The complimentary breakfast was also a plus and very tasty.

Location and price are very reasonable. You are across the bridge from downtown Charlston. Shuttle runs only in the evenings however, and not to the airport. Pool is tiny, pictures are misleading. Suite rooms are great size and amenities wise, however they are showing age. Carpet had musky/damp smell. A/C unit sounded like an airplane engine in 1/2 throttle, and the noise from the air conditioning units outside was constant. Get a room looking toward the front/parking lot! Service - reasonable, not always with a smile, but helpful in any event.

Room was very clean. Stayed in the 2 br. There was a tv in LR and both bedrooms. Breakfast was great, staff friendly. Would stay again in a heartbeat

There is NOTHING I could mention that could possibly be improved upon because the French Quarter Inn is THAT perfect! Highlights: Staff, cookies, snacks, coffee, breakfast, location, service, cleanliness, bathrooms, views, beds. even the hallway is amazing. The shampoo was epic. Guests are treated like family and/or royalty.

Absolutely beautiful and well taken care of. Clean and very large rooms with a great view. I would recommend this hotel to everyone. The manager Rick and all the employees are cheerful and helpful.
