The lobby and desk area of this hotel was so nice and recently remodeled! It gives it a very modern almost swanky look! The deal clerk was so friendly and got us checked in within a few minutes. She also pointed out that there were fresh cookies for the taking just behind us in the breakfast area. The room was very spacious and also had a very new & modern feel and decor. I loved the huge TV in the room and great channel selection. The breakfast was also AMAZING & I would definitely recommend this place to my friends & family!!

Clean, modern, good location. We left our car in parking lot and the hotel arranged round trip shuttle service! 👏 I think they call it don't miss the boat package. A little extra but still cheaper than the port parking.

It is located on a main highway with easy access to downtown and next to a really good restaurant. The rooms are very nice and rather large. The breakfast is included and has everything you could want to eat or drink.

Very clean and updated! If you’re cruising I recommend calling to set up “don’t miss your cruise” option. Everyone super friendly and the breakfast was great! Highly recommend

Evacuated from Harvey in Houston then from Irma in Miami. Ended up in Charleston! What an adventure. Flooded out in Charleston and lost power and water; no place for food. David (General Manager) and all staff (Rosie, Brian, Faith and the entire staff) stayed with us, brought food in from home to feed all the guests. It became a hotel family all hanging in till over. There were many other places possible but we will always remember Holiday Inn Express West Ashley and our family of guests and staff. Please don't hesitate to choose this location and join the family.

This was a decent hotel and the offered a good deal for a stay and then be able to park our car and shuttle us to the port for a cruise. Service was great to and from the port. They were remodeling which a slight inconvenience and made some rubber necking in the lobby.

We had one of the new remodeled rooms on the 3rd floor and was nice. The door was tough to close all the way. Pool was very nice and it backed up to trees so it was private.

For the price point, the best by far. Friendly staff, AMAZING free breakfast selection, best in this price point for sure. We enjoyed the outdoor pool as well. Fitness center and lobby were under construction, which was a little awkward because there was no alternate entrance, (split in half with caution tape routing you into the dining area) and the cleaning supplies seem to always be out in the hallway. Also be warned this is nowhere near downtown Charleston, misleading by the name. And I'm not sure if it was just being in the southern humidity but the room smelled weird and the sheets felt damp to memy boyfriend said they weren't though. Slept great, would come back when no longer renovating for sure.

They had a lovely hotel with good service and good breakfast. The clerk helped us to get a room with 2 queen beds and was very accommodating. Room service was very responsive as they came within 2 minutes of the call. The only complaint however is that they were currently renovating much of the building but they were mostly out of the way and not disruptive.

My Room is clean. However, very short at the front desk. They asked me for a $100 dollar deposit and was hasitent to give me a receipt I had to ask three times till I finally gave it to me a print out one. I felt so uncomfortable even passing the front desk after calling the 800 number about my concerns. They called the front desk told them my concerns then told me they would had them call me. I came back from dinner to a short brief letter of something I allready had gotten from them to start with. A receipt and the hotels procedures://// huh !!! Oh let's not forget to mechion the entire main floor was under loud construction!! The elevator smelled horrible of body Oder What a vacation spot NOT. Leila the manager was a nice girl but she did not make me feel like my money was safe in a drawer with my initials only. Emma was not aware of the policy's at all kept rudely saying you will have to talk with my manager. I paid cash and my credit card was on file:/ what's the problem. I travel all the time and have never experienced anything like this. Very disappointed 😔 8:44pm May 20 2017 was just told by the 800 number again that it will be handled. Still no resolution in sight. I will keep you posted on the rest of my stay.

We stayed here for one night approximately 7pm-9am. The hotel is decorated in 70's turquoise and chrome style and the lobby had a cool water feature. The staff was courteous and the rooms were very clean and came well stocked with a mini fridge and a microwave (seriously wish more hotels would have a microwave). Oh- and free wi-fi!

There was a free breakfast buffet that was surprisingly well stocked with the typical continental fair and yogurt, sausage, eggs and a waffle making machine. This is a good place to stay if you're visiting Charleston and have a car to take you into the city.
