The shower stalls need to be scrubbed. Other than that it was fine. We were only there at the end of day to eat.& sleep. It was all We.

We have been vacationing here since June. We absolutely love it here! After reading several reviews lately, I want to share with you our experience here.

First of all, the property is beautiful and well maintained. There is a small play ground, stand up chess board, picnic shelter and dog run for guests to enjoy. The bath houses are clean and a laundry is available for guest use. There is a pond for fishing and walkers enjoy ample street space. Bikes are allowed as are pets. With this said there are behavior expectations that cannot be ignored as a guest here.

First of all the speed limit here is 10mph or less. This is non-negotiable and is mandated for guest safety. There is no fear that children or pets will not be seen by a motorist. Next, dogs must be leashed and human accompanied at all times. This is for the benefit those not having pets as well as the safety of your own animal. Placing a dog on a lead and leaving him unattended is not acceptable. It gets hot here and dogs get excited when they see other dogs. If you do not want to follow this simple requirement, board them. Tent camping is not the norm here although the owners will make exceptions for special groups or occasions. Don't expect hookups, however.

The owner and management staff have the safety and enjoyment of their guests at heart everyday. My family is happy we chose this campground.

We came eclipse weekend I would have liked full hookups better but it was busy. Super clean grass was geen and no stickers I was able to walk bare footed. My dogs came (Clean Dog owner) The staff was super friendly. Bathhouse was clean. I would recommend and use again

I haven't even stayed here yet. But there customer service and ability to call back and keep in touch is great. There doing a real good job. Especially during such a busy event. I can just imagine the shape and how great the campground itself is.

We stayed there every spring and fall for 6 years. It is clean, good size level lots. They have a pool and swings for the kids. The owner lives on site and keeps things running smoothly. We store there now.

Oak Plantation Campground near Charleston, SC is highly recommended. Their web site does not begin to show what they have. Roomy, shaded, grass and amenities. Baths are older but clean. Wifi worked well except late at night when everybody was on. TV cables channels were all good. I took many pics that really tell the story. The highway leading into the campground is CROWDED all the time. You can mitigate this when leaving by turning right out of the campground and accessing town from the Glenn McConnell Pkwy – only an extra mile or two.

My first time in was a few weeks ago. Overall I liked the campground. The sites were extremely spacious and quiet at night. The only reason for not giving a 5 star is there isn't much to do for little kids. The pool was right up near a very busy highway, and very small might I add. Overall I was pleased and will be back.

Awesome staff! There's not much worse than arriving after a long day of driving to a camp ground and having to deal with a rude and or robotic person at check in. Luckily this place has neither. Everyone is very friendly and helpful. We enjoyed our stay here and would recommend it to anyone visiting the Charleston area. It's about a 15 minute straight shot drive to Charleston. The grounds are immaculate and they have trash cans that are easy to get to. Rates are very fair as well.

We could only stay one night at Oak Plantation, but we will definitely stay again if we are in that area. The campground was well managed, clean, and the sites were some of the most spacious we experienced during our three-week trip. Although the location was very convenient to grocery, shopping and restaurants, it was quiet. The only noise I heard during the night was a distant train, which was actually soothing.
