The room was very nice and spacious. I do wish, however l, that the entrances to the rooms were inside rather than outside because it was below freezing when I had arrived and when I had left. The lobby is clean and the staff seemed nice.
Good staff. Quiet, easy access, room was clean and complete. Would stay again if price is right.
I was very impressed by this place overall. It truly caters to the extended stay culture. And actually, I'd stay here whether it was overnight or over a month or so. They have breakfast daily. And Monday - Wednesday they have special arrangements for dinner and quick dessert options accompanied by some wine. MOST of the staff is very nice and they become like a second family if you stay there long enough. And they clean the rooms very well, and even put the dishes in the dish washer for you. I was amazed that they had pots and pans, and plenty of utensils for eating and cooking. It is in a location that has heavy, heavy traffic, but it's also just one exit away from Perimeter Mall, a great mall, and 400 will get you into the city pretty fast depending on what time of the day it is.
The room was nice and clean, the bed is amazing and I love the full kitchen with updated appliances! The shuttle is very convenient and the mall is super close. Lanecia helped me check in and she gave me loads of helpful info about the hotel and the area in general. Great job, Marriott!!!
The staff is AWESOME!! EVERYONE is so friendly, helpful and accommodating. The front desk ladies are the bomb, always helpful. All of the other staff on the grounds, the cook are great as well. The rooms are nice a good size lots of space full nice kitchen with everything you need. I like it because it seems more like an apartment community than a hotel. When your away from home for a long period of time it's great.
My room was clean and comfortable with a full kitchen, to include a full-sized refrigerator, and a dishwasher, a living space and good closet space. The staff are friendly and accommodating.
The location is great. It sits alongside the Interstate, but there are sufficient, tall trees all along the road in front of the hotel, so you don't even know that it's there. You can hear, somewhat, the passing traffic, but not enough to really disturb your stay.
There is a pool, small fitness center, dry cleaning service, and an on-site laundry room located behind the office. They offer a daily breakfast and a social mixer Monday to Wednesday.
Just a couple of minor things that, for me, were not so positive, but absolutely did not ruin my stay, were the bathtub, and the suite above mine.
I was happy to find a bathtub in my suite, but slightly disappointed that I could not enjoy it. This is because the texture on the floor of the bathtub was very prickly, and not what be pleasant to sit on. I can only guess that it is for safety, providing a non-slip surface.
The suite above mine was not completely soundproof in a way that, I could hear every step that guest made. I also could hear, quite clearly, that guest running water in the bathtub to start a shower.
All in all, my stay was really great. I was very pleased with my suite from the moment I arrived. I would definitely return to this hotel.
I have read the reviews and agree, this place is dated. It is a 1st generation Residence Inn so they don't even have elevators to take you to the 2nd floor rooms, an issue when you are trying to juggle your purse, backpack and 50 pound suitcase up the stairs without taking a crapper and killing yourself. I don't mind that inconvenience as much as I do that the railings going to some of the 2nd rooms are rotted away and wobbly. I also am sorry to whoever stayed beneathe me my first visit. I stayed in the suite in 14 and there are holes/cratters (broken floorboards) under the carpet, so I can only imagine when I stepped into one, they heard it below, hence I kept my walking to a bear minimum. Having said that, I travel almost every week and stay exclusively at RIs and have to say the staff here (front end inc food peeps) are my favorite. They always make my day. The rooms are clean, bed comfy, overall feels like home away from home. I took one star off for the repairs needed. I'm assuming they are aware that it needs a facelift as I saw a handy man hanging out of one of the rooms when I checked in this afternoon.
The Marriott Residence Inn is a great place if you need a comfortable home base while traveling or a cozy home away from home. I've stayed here twice for extended periods while my house was being renovated. My stay was a pleasant one both times. The reception staff is very friendly and helpful. The rest of the staff is great as well. Breakfast is served every morning in the reception area and includes lots of options from fresh fruit, cheese, yogurt and cereal to hot items like eggs, bacon, waffles, and oatmeal. Each evening, there is a happy hour reception which includes free beer, wine, soda, and water as well as food. During my stay, happy hour food included chicken and cheese chili, meatball subs, and a bunch of desserts to name a few. It's an easy dinner option about two thirds of the time. The rooms are clean and well appointed. The penthouse suite can sleep six in three beds (and has two bathrooms and three TVs) so it's a good option for larger families.
My only complaint is its proximity to the highway. Traffic noise can be heard easily from units along the front of the property.
No issues. Decent facilities, housekeeping even left me a nice little note to say "have a good day"
It was a very good place to stay for the past 3 weeks, very comfortable and clean beds and rooms, room service was excellent and never missed a day. All in all a great experience.
The buildings and everything inside the rooms looks old, the carpet and the bathroom curtains have black permanent stains of something. We also requested to clean the sofa because it was awful! They don't clean the furniture at all. And if you ask for these kind of "extra" things they get moody. There is no a regular schedule for the cleaning service, sometimes we have to wait until 3pm or sometimes they don't come at all. We told them several times there's something wrong with the tv and they ignored us all the time. We were waiting for an important mail and they told us 'we'll call you when it arrives' and they didn't, it's the third time it happens with the mail. We saw these details because of our long stay (3 weeks and counting), if you stay like 3-4 days it will be not that bad I think. I haven't tried any food here but it doesn't look bad. They gym and the other services are ok. The people who works here is nice and kind. Hope sometime they can change all the old stuff, someone told me this hotel has its years
