The accommodations were nice. The room was spacious, and clean. The lobby was great, and the staff was very nice. I did find that my room was not as sound proof as I wanted. I could hear the person in the next room. Maybe it was just because I had an adjoining room. Overall it was a pretty good experience.
Really friendly staff with a 24 hour front desk which is really nice when you fly in at 2 am! I enjoyed the hot tub which is open till 11. Good room service and the rooms in general provide for your basic needs. It being located right off the interstate make it easy to get to.
I have delayed this review , but I want to share this as an opportunity to grow . I was planning a Women's Conference and I contacted the sales department. I cam onsite and was greeted by Sales associate who was exceptionally nice and informative. She let me know that a sales manager would get back to me .. well I waited & emailed with no response. I then went back to hotel , I really thought this venue was ideal , so I was really trying to make this work. I was met by Monique , who was dressed like Halloween ( professionalism is important ) , she stated she saw my email , and then informed me that the room , I was shown was taken . That puzzled me, I cleared that 1st , on the previous visit . Well , then she went on to state a ridiculous price , $10,000 to utilize the space. Long story short , it definitely gave the appearance that our event was not important and that it did not warrant attention. Also , very unfriendly and condescending. I was not emailed back as she stated she would . regardless of outcome . Also upon departure , she did not shake my hand , and just turned away ,as I stated thank you , she stated," my pleasure", with no cordiality . This was the manager of conference services. .
Now , I pray that this will be addressed , not to put anyone in a threatening position . , but to look at it . I could have been a mystery shopper, I may have been a millionaire with quite a lot of money to spend , but wanted to see the quality of your service. Please treat all with respect as you would like to be treated.
Thank God , we have a venue in a very nice hotel , who has definitely treated us with dignity and respect. I pray this is a learning experience for both of us in the future.
I came here for a work conference and I had a great time! The staff were decent. Our rooms that we were in were kept clean and maintained well. The food did make me a little sick, but that may just be me. The staff I interacted with seemed great! The gift shop looked pretty cool. The bathrooms were clean, the stalls were small. The area is kind of hard to get in and out of, espesially during rush hour. I had a great experience over all.
Very nice hotel, courteous staff, and maintained very well. Just had an emergency alarm sound throughout the building, followed by an automated announcement that there was an actual emergency. Then a person came over the PA system telling us that there was no emergency. It was also a little off-putting that such immaculate bathrooms went the entire day without any paper towels for hand drying.
I only stayed one night, but it was nice. Service was good. Breakfast people were really friendly. They have lotion that smells really good. The pillows are kind of thick, but soft. Maybe bring a few extra blankets with you if you get cold easily.
Phenomenal for the price. Pool is working this time (second visit) and even though I probably won't use it, it's nice to know it's there. A solid choice for Atlanta though a bit of a drive.
Stayed there on two occasions and loved it both times Clean rooms, great customer service, adequate parking. Feels like it should cost more for staying there. (Get an upper floor for a nice view)
Great, friendly staff, everything is clean, they even offered to bring a microwave up to my room when we needed it. I love this place. It's my second stay. The room came with two queen beds, a refrigerator, tub/shower combo, and an extra chair next to the beds. You do need your key card to use the elevators and pool room, so keep that handy. We received a bad card and I had to show my ID in order to get a new one, which I appreciated the extra security. There was a shuttle parked outside the front of the hotel as well. We didn't use it so I'm not sure where it goes, but that's always handy to know. The hotel is also located next to a few late night/24 hour eateries for those who get hungry in the middle of the night 😉
Sonesta was great at booking my room and accommodating my 5 month old. We were given a corner room (less neighbors, larger space) and late checkout (2pm) so that my husband could care for our son while I was at a work training. I give them 3 stars because housekeeping disturbed my husband and sleeping baby 6 times despite our late checkout scheduled and "privacy please" sign on the door. I'm addition, the pool was open but needed a good bit of cleaning. Breakfast was delicious (lots of options including an omelet station) and I appreciated all of the extra security (needed a room key to operate the elevator, enter pool/gym area). Because there were really great things and several disappointing things, 3 stars seems fair.
Check in was very easy, pleasant people at the front desk. Room was very clean upon arrival. My only complaint was all the unsupervised kids in the pool area running and jumping in the pool. Little kids were in the hot tub swimming and teenagers working out in the gym in there bathing suits soaking wet out of the pool.
Still staying at hotel currently and enjoying our stay. Rooms aren't great but they have everything that is needed. The location is top notch and the amenities (pool and fitness room are excellent)
Great food, decent amount of parking with close walking paths. Food for the wedding I attended was excellent, but not sure if it was catered or not. A lot of Indian and Pakistani weddings are held here and it's a decent spot
The place is lovely but the front office manager was rude. I called the number listed on the google search and I had to call 5 times after finally being told just to come in and make the reservation I needed. When I arrived they told me something different regarding the rates as the phone reps. The front office manager was rude and talked to me like I was slow. She referred to the rate amount as though I would not be able to afford it. I felt discriminated and left. Its a shame such a beautiful hotel has such views for treatment for others. I went across the street and booked my reservation. When I have my wedding and my guest come I will put them in the hotel where I was treated with respect.
Just checked in last night to this hote and so far it is great!
One downside before all of the great things is not having a fridge/microwave in the room.
Other than that, the hotel is great! Great staff and view of the city of Duluth.
The room is pretty nice and the bed of course is comfortable and clean!
The area of the hotel is great also! If you're hungry late at night there's a lot of food options around here such as Bahama Breeze and Georgia Diner! The diner is 24/7 and they have so many great options for food!
Awesome hotel!
