The cinema itself is very clean and efficiently run. Even the bathrooms or clean and well stock with supplies. Staff were able to keep everyone in an orderly conduct as we waited in line for the movie and once the doors opened there were plenty of seats available for everyone. As the duration the movie went on the seats were still comfortable and people weren't getting restless in the theater. It was enjoyable experience and for only $6 I take it it's unbelievable. I highly recommend to see movies here as this is the only theater we go to because of the convenience as well as the efficiency of the establishment as a whole.
One of the Best Regals I have been too. For such a huge complex, going on a date here is actually realistically priced, compared to others! And the staff is point: an orderly clean concessions area, bathrooms well maintained, friendly and professional personnel, and the quality of the movies shown, are always solid.
Adding beer and hard cider to the bevarage menu is a nice touch. Still, I'd go a step further and include a happy hour price, if not for all, then at least Crown Club members.
The auditoriums are under renovation so I'm looking forward to seeing the new ones. Not sure if it's just the seats that are changing though because the screens need renovation too. They're smaller than in other theaters. I was also waiting for a while to get a drink and in the end decided the wait was too long and left.
The Theater Complex was going through a big renovation and I had to walk about 100 yards to the correct screening room. The line to buy tickets was about 15 minutes long. They showed previews for 20-25 minutes. The Theater was comfotable and clean. They gave me a senior discount. 😊
$6.32 standard admissions! First run movies! Concessions somewhat expensive. But, they sell EVERYTHING! Make sure you use your Regal Cinemas card to offset the prices. Great location. Easy parking close by.
Love this place. Only $6.50 ticket!! You do not find this deal any where. And they have the reward card that gives you free popcorn, sodas and more. Really good.
Management yelled at the 4 of us and threatened to ban us from the theater because we talked during the previews because the power went out 3 times due to storm surges. We were simply passing the awkward silence. Didn't intend to talk through the movie. Building is kinda old, Prices are really good, so it's good for its price. Management just needs to not threaten the customers in angry, condescending tones as if they just set a fire inside the theater. We are reasonable people, we would have stopped if asked nicely too.
I think I rated this so highly is because I've been so used to going to Frank's Theaters in Venice for so long and sitting in DNA covered seats with long hair, food and gum stuck to them and feeling like I couldn't pay attention to what was on the screen just wanting to get home and get in the shower! Regal cinemas is gigantic and was very clean. Their prices are $6.00 plus tax every day also for any age. Car garage is free parking as well and right on Main Street in Sarasota with many different restaurants around the area to choose from. Bathrooms were clean and there was someone waiting after the movie was over to come in and clean up any messes left behind from people. That was nice to see. 👍👍👍.
I have seen such improvement in the management and personnel in the past few months I must recommend Regal to movie goers. Also with their up and coming renovations it will be top drawer. Please visit Regal for a superb movie going experience.
Downtown Sarasota's Regal Cinemas Hollywood 20 is my favorite area movie theater to go to for two reasons: 1) it's in downtown Sarasota, which is a fantastic city, and 2) $6 movie tickets! What a deal! The theater is modern, generally clean, and has comfortable seating. I usually go on weeknights so cannot speak to how busy the place may be on the weekends. Concessions are the usual sky-high inflated priced goodies one may expect at a theater. $15 for a small drink and popcorn? - Yeah, steep, but the popcorn here is good. I'll be making many return trips to the place and have enjoyed my visits thus far. Recommended.
Love coming here instead of AMC 12. half the price, and much closer to where I live. They have a great selection of alcohol, food, and snacks. I come here often to see late night movies, as it's quieter, easier to park and usually cleaner. The seating does need some updating, and occasionally there is popcorn and trash left over from the movie before us. That's the only complaint I have, I'll continue to come here instead of paying 12$ at amc.
This Regal has a great selection of snacks. The theater is kept clean and maintained in tip-top shape. Definitely one of the better movie theaters in the city.
Honestly, it's one of the better in the area but it still feels kind of gross. The chairs are scratchy and uncomfortable to sit in. I always feel like they are dirty. The screen displays are pretty good though. I would not suggest seeing 3D movies here though. It isn't worth the extra money because nothing really pops out at you. The only reason we go here is cause it is cheaper than the better ones.
What a fabulous place to see a movie and then all the beautiful architecture is just great. Also the theater is very clean and most importantly the bathrooms are too. When we went, there was very few people even there but hopefully people will support our local businesses.
Returned to Regal Hollywood 20 for the first time in a number of years. To say it has not aged well would be an understatement, but there is good future news as the entire building, parking lots and total real estate has been purchased by known Sarasota investors who are committed to a complete redo of this building an area.
Our occasion for being here was to view films from the Sarasota Film Festival, an event we will not pass on in future years as we have chosen to do in the past. After viewing our first three movies we are looking for the next two which we have purchased tickets for and look forward to more interesting viewing.
