The restrooms were down from irma trailer restrooms were in place of the nice one be careful not to slip on the way down the stairs i fell but such is life it has its ups n downs party on

Great little gem of a park along the river. It has horse trails and a pretty little pond. Lots of nature trails.

Overall the park was clean and well kept. Many if not most of the campsites though have dense underbrush, dead branches, dead palms leaves. Could do more to make the sites appear tidy and less of a fire/bug hazard. Low hanging branches are a hazard. The camp host or cleaning lady Sharon was friendly and helpful. She gets five stars! Unfortunately the female ranger was rude as well as the older volunteer that checked us in. Two stars for them. Also had to pay 10.00 to change sites because the trees we so low and our 13.1 rig could not fit. Bad customer service.

We had a great time. Great kayaking. We wish that the new kayak ramp would get started soon. It' a little difficult to push the kayak dolly through the soft sand for senior citizens.

Super fun and diverse jungle hike! $5 per car, $2 per person/ bicycle donation - deposit box is right at the gate and you need to put the ticket on your rear view mirror or keep on your person if you are on foot or bicycle. Great exercise and photo opps guaranteed!

If you are looking for seclusion and a glimpse of what South Florida looked like before the invention of the bulldozer, this is the place.
We camped here for a week and saw wildlife like you can't imagine.
While the camp sites are a little closer together than I'd prefer, the rest of the park is all wide open spaces and peaceful tranquility.response / report this review -

Great park for camping, hiking, kayaking and more! This park is a hidden jewel. The trails are great for hiking and I saw lots of wildlife. The staff is helpful and the park is very clean. Not too crowded. I'm so thankful to have this park.

First place we camped in our new travel trailer and this place was amazing. Nice hiking trails and cheap kayaking. Takes you back to old Florida.

You don't find many trails as beautiful as this one in Florida. It's mostly shaded and some of the trail runs along little manatee river.

Quiet place with nice trails to walk around and enjoy native Florida fauna and stop to watch birds. Variety of campgrounds and delightful restroom facilities.

$5 gets you access to to seperate trail. Both are quiet and fairly low traffic. The main parking offers bike rentals which is a nice change of pace
